Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 776: Chapter 775: Who the hell is this guy, acting so cocky?

Haishan Hospital, named after Haishan City, boasts a medical team and technological means that are among the best in the country!

Mei Yide was the chief of intensive care at Haishan Hospital. Usually, his job was quite leisurely, as he hardly encountered severe cases. However, a young man who had been brought in last night had caused him immense frustration.

Rumor had it that this kid had been street racing with someone else, and eventually, the vehicle lost control. The car was wrecked and he was nearly killed. By the time he was brought in, he was almost breathless, and after a night of strenuous efforts, they had barely managed to keep him alive.

Multiple comminuted fractures, internal organs severely shattered and bleeding, muscle tissue abrasion, concussion, exposed bleeding bones...

Looking at this medical record, Mei Yide felt a headache coming on! Based on his decades of medical experience, this young man surely wouldn’t survive. Though he was still breathing now, he was completely unconscious and beyond saving!

Under normal circumstances, Mei Yide would have issued a critical condition notice long ago, but this time, he didn’t dare to. He had heard that this kid was from the Capital and had a very powerful backing! If he died, the entire Haishan Hospital might be affected.

At that moment, a fleet of cars suddenly sped up, escorting a Rolls-Royce, which rushed into Haishan Hospital at high speed.

”Where is the intensive care unit?” A middle-aged man asked as he stepped down from the Rolls-Royce, his expression naturally imposing; a large group of bodyguards in black also descended from the other cars, looking extraordinary.

”On the seventh floor,” the nurse who was stopped stuttered, obviously frightened.

The group streamed in and quickly entered the hospital building, taking the elevator to the seventh floor’s intensive care unit.

By this time, the already informed director of Haishan Hospital was waiting there. Upon seeing the middle-aged man, a flattering smile appeared on his face, and he immediately approached, ”President Zhang, welcome...”

He had barely started speaking when he immediately shut his mouth, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.

Giving him a cold glance, the middle-aged man did not intend to fuss much with him and sternly asked, ”How is my nephew’s condition?”

Feeling the intense fury of the middle-aged man, Mei Yide stood up tremblingly and nervously said, ”After our overnight efforts last night, your nephew’s condition is still manageable, I estimate...”

”Get straight to the point!” the middle-aged man shouted angrily.

”The patient has multiple comminuted fractures, severe organ damage, and has also sustained substantial brain damage. He must undergo surgery immediately!” Rattled by his response, Mei Yide abruptly relayed the true situation.

”Then why aren’t you starting the surgery right now?!” the middle-aged man bellowed furiously.

With a gloomy face, Mei Yide said, ”Your nephew’s condition is rather poor, he just underwent surgery last night. If he undergoes another surgery now, it would carry a significant risk, I’m only less than forty percent confident.”

Hearing these words, the middle-aged man’s expression suddenly darkened, and it became unbearably quiet all around, the air seemed to thicken.

The director and Mei Yide held their breath, not daring to breathe a word.

”Get all the renowned doctors of Haishan here immediately! Also, pay a hefty sum to bring in an international rescue team!” the middle-aged man commanded coldly, his anger evident to all.

”Yes!” Several men in black immediately acted upon his orders.

At the same time, famous doctors from all hospitals in Haishan had received the news. Not daring to take the matter lightly, they quickly rushed towards Haishan Hospital.

Ye Haochuan of Haishan University Hospital had also received the invitation, but at that moment he was not in the hospital; the news came to Kou Jing’s attention.

As soon as she heard the news, she immediately called Ye Haochuan.

Ye Haochuan had just finished practicing Tathagata’s Divine Finger and was in a great mood. Seeing that it was a call from Kou Jing, he chuckled and said, ”Jingjing, how long has it been since we last met, and you’re already missing me?”

”Oh, I have serious matters to discuss!” Kou Jing’s face turned red as she retorted, ”Zhang Zongyao’s nephew has suffered severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Haishan Hospital. He has demanded that all the renowned doctors of Haishan immediately come to assist.”

”Damn! Who is this guy, acting all high and mighty?” Ye Haochuan was slightly surprised. Even the mayor didn’t receive such treatment, did he?

”Zhang Zongyao is the chairman of Haotian Group, involved in businesses relating to energy, biology... More importantly, he is from the Zhang Family of the Capital! I heard the injured person is his nephew; I suspect it’s the son of the current Family Head of the Zhang Family!”

Hearing Kou Jing’s words, Ye Haochuan then realized, the Zhang Family was one of several ancient families in the Capital with immense power, possessing influences unimaginable to outsiders.

Since he was eventually going to expand into the Capital, if he could save the young lord of the Zhang Family, things would run much smoother later on.

Thinking this, Ye Haochuan nodded and said, ”Alright, I’ll head there right away.”

”Mm, I’ll go ahead, and you be careful driving.” With that, Kou Jing hung up the phone.

At that moment, the seventh floor intensive care unit at Haishan Hospital was packed with people, all of whom were the most famous doctors in Haishan; each one was prestigious and had received various international awards.

Since it was a long journey, Kou Jing was the last to arrive.

”Well, I didn’t expect a university hospital dean to show up too.” Seeing Kou Jing, someone mocked her sarcastically.

Ye Haochuan of Haishan University Hospital, it was rumored that his medical skills were incredibly potent, able to cure terminal diseases! Such reputation naturally brought good benefits to the hospital, but it also caused envy among many other hospitals who had never seen Ye Haochuan’s skills and instead thought he was a charlatan, famous for nothing.

Ignoring these sarcastic remarks, Kou Jing approached Mei Yide, asked for a pathology report, and began to examine it closely.

After looking it over, she furrowed her brows. According to the medical records, the condition of the young man named Zhang Jianhui was simply too terrible.

Severe organ disruption, even if his life could be saved, skull damage and a concussion could easily render him a vegetative state, and the widespread comminuted fractures were also a major problem, making recovery unlikely.

Overall, this was a very challenging patient.

”What do you think? All of you are the most famous doctors in Haishan City, who can tell me how my nephew’s condition should be treated?” Zhang Zongyao’s face showed no emotion, but his perennial high-status presence gave him an imposing aura.

The people around him looked at each other; they had all seen the medical records. If the situation was indeed as described, there was simply no way to start!

Given the patient’s currently weakened state, he could hardly withstand the ordeal of surgery, which might very likely result in his death.

Under normal circumstances, these people could still give it a try, at worst the surgery would just fail. However, the man lying in the bed had an extraordinary status—who would dare take that risk?
