I Possessed The Villain In a Hunter Novel And It Fits Me Perfectly

Because of the impact to the car body, my phone got launched into the back seat, so I couldn’t properly hear Im Haekyung’s answer.

“Guild Master?”

I called out one more time just in case, but no answer came back from Im Haekyung. Either the phone was fucked, or the call got cut. One of the two.

I stayed quiet for a moment to try and hear what Im Haekyung was saying, then shifted into reverse and backed the car up a little.

And then I rammed Kwon Taehan’s car one more time.

CRUNCH!

At the renewed hit, the car body crumpled and the wheels spun uselessly. The moment I killed the engine, people swarmed over in an instant and started pounding on the window and the door.

“Hunter Kwon Taehan!”

“Hunter! You’re okay, right?”

“Take care of Hunter Kwon first!”

“Are you hurt anywhere?”

I dealt with the exploded airbag, unfastened my seatbelt, then tapped on the window at the person standing outside, meaning for them to move.

The way every last one of them had their eyes stretched wide and were making such a huge fuss looked a little funny. I got out of the car and checked on Do Yehyun, who was standing among the crowd. Maybe because he’d run over in a hurry, Do Yehyun was catching his breath with disheveled hair, and his eyes were wider than they’d been in a long time.

“Hunter! Wh-what is this... was it a vehicle malfunction?”

Instead of answering the police officer who grabbed me and asked in a panic, I lightly shook off the officer’s hand and picked up my phone, which was rolling around on the ground. It must have hit something wrong, because half the screen was cracked.

I tapped at the phone to check whether my call with Im Haekyung had gotten cut off on its own, but it stayed completely silent.

‘Damn.’

I gave up neatly and tossed the phone back into the wrecked car. Shoving aside the people who still looked too stunned to grasp the situation, I kindly walked over to Kwon Taehan’s car.

The impact had twisted and crushed the door inward. I shoved aside the person grunting and straining to force it open.

“Move.”

“Hhk....”

Looks doable.

I braced a leg against the car and yanked the door with all my strength. With the sound of shards flying, the mangled door burst open with a bang.

And inside, I saw Kwon Taehan with his head slammed against the steering wheel, blood pouring down.

“Ow, so even S-ranks bleed?”

I tossed out a joke to lighten the mood toward the bastard, who looked to be in pretty bad shape.

“...Are you out of your fucking mind?!”

I’d slammed into him nice and hard twice, so I’d thought he might at least pass out, but apparently his body was tougher than I’d imagined. Or maybe the adrenaline was keeping him conscious?

“Hunter Kwon! F-first, please calm down...!”

“Seo Jehyun, you son of a bitch!”

I don’t know where the strength came from, but Kwon Taehan suddenly lurched out of the car and grabbed me by the collar.

‘He’s weakened.’

He had twisted his fist into my shirt and seized it tight, but it was a completely different grip strength from last time. Well, makes sense. After clearing a dungeon alone and then getting slammed by a car twice, even an S-rank would be struggling.

I immediately sensed what was about to happen and quickly supported Kwon Taehan by the waist.

Sure enough, the moment he had to rely on his body to stay upright, the strength left him and Kwon Taehan’s consciousness faded fast.

“Hhk...!”

“Wh-what do we do?!”

“Call 119! N-no, f-first at least give him a potion...!”

Ignoring the noisy people, I lightly hoisted Kwon Taehan up, then laid him down properly on a flat stretch of ground.

“Yehyun.”

Even in the middle of everyone yelling, Do Yehyun caught what I said and hurried over, sitting down in front of Kwon Taehan.

“Want to do some work?”

At those words, as if he’d been waiting for them, Do Yehyun’s Skill activated.

Moonlight’s Blessing (S) has been activated.

Right after the familiar Status Window appeared, I grabbed Do Yehyun by the shoulder and whispered in his ear.

“Don’t heal everything. About... half.”

At my words, Do Yehyun slowly turned his head, and his eyes were confused for a moment, but when I cupped his cheek and tugged up the corner of my mouth slightly, Do Yehyun calmly nodded.

After confirming the light flashed and spread out from the wounded area, I slowly looked around.

‘Found it.’

It was the reporter who’d been happily taking pictures just a moment ago. I strode straight over to that reporter and clamped a hand onto the camera.

“I-I’ll delete it! S-sorry! It’s just a job habit!”

What the hell is that supposed to mean all of a sudden?

Ignoring the reporter’s nonsense, I asked,

“Live broadcast? Or recorded?”

“Recorded!”

Recorded, huh....

‘Kind of a shame.’

Maybe that reaction showed on my face, because someone standing a little farther off while holding a camera hurriedly raised a hand. The reporter next to the cameraman, who had been staring at that weird little performance for a second, seemed to grasp the situation and started frantically waving.

“Here! Over here! This one’s live!”

So there really was a place airing this live. Without any hesitation, I walked over there and stood directly in front of the camera.

I looked briefly at Kwon Taehan lying stretched out on the ground, then placed a hand on my chest and spoke with a regretful expression.

“I feel a deep sense of responsibility and promise I will absolutely compensate Mr. Kwon Taehan.... He’s unconscious right now, but since he’s an S-rank, he’ll recover soon enough. Anyway, please make sure to contact me.”

“Hunter Seo! Then was the accident just now sudden unintended acceleration?”

I looked for a moment at the reporter who had cleverly thrown out the question, then ignored it and asked the police officer instead,

“You called 119, right?”

“Pardon? Y-yes...!”

“Hunter Kwon Taehan is probably without next of kin, so can he be hospitalized immediately?”

“Th-that far... I don’t....”

“And surgery requires a guardian.”

I paused for a moment, then flicked a brow.

“A guardian.... Can I do it?”

“I don’t think that would be poss....”

“Why not?”

“Well, it could have been a vehicle issue, but just now, uh... Hunter Seo, you did ram a car that was almost stopped, so... for the moment, uh... you’re the assailant.”

“Can’t both apply at once?”

It was a serious question, but the police officer stared at me like I’d said something I absolutely shouldn’t have, then asked back,

“Pardon?”

erooo @eraaaaa123

Song are you drunk?

Seo Jehyun hit Kwon Taehan’s car ㄷㄷ

srsly

I’m at the scene

Comments

― ?

― ?

― what kind of bullshit is this?

Let me summarize the situation

A-rank Gate bursts open > Kwon Taehan comes to clear it > Seo Jehyun comes as backup but Kwon Taehan goes into the Gate alone > Kwon Taehan clears it and comes out > Seo Jehyun rams Kwon Taehan’s car

That’s the order

Comments

― Did anybody ask because they didn’t know the order, asshole

― What exactly got summarized here, fuckㅋㅋ

― Kwon Taehan cleared it, so why the fuck did Seo Jehyun hit Kwon Taehan with a car, that’s what you should be explaining, what kind of bullshit is this

└ How the fuck would I know that;

News is up in real time

Seo Jehyun: “I feel a deep sense of responsibility and promise I will absolutely compensate Mr. Kwon Taehan. He’s unconscious right now, but since he’s an S-rank, he’ll recover soon enough. Anyway, please make sure to contact me.”

He says he feels a deep sense of responsibility, so did he really ram him with a car? It wasn’t a sudden unintended acceleration accident?

Comments

― It must’ve been sudden unintended acceleration, obviously, fuckㅋㅋㅋㅋ

― Damn, thank god it was Kwon Taehan. If it had been a normal person they’d have just died on the spotㄷ

― Seo Jehyun really does have star power, always a regular on the hot list

― No... no, after watching the interview too, he seriously seems like a psychopath

― They said it was sudden unintended acceleration, but then how did he back up and hit him again?? No matter how I look at it, that’s weird. Didn’t he just straight-up hit him with the car?

― Were Seo Jehyun and Kwon Taehan on bad terms?

└ No but no matter how bad terms are, he’s still a normal person living in modern society, so would he really ram someone with a car?;

└ If he’s a psychopath, he totally would

└ How bad do things have to be for you to hit someone with a car? Unless Kwon Taehan sent people to kill Seo Jehyun or something, it doesn’t make sense

― Obviously it was sudden unintended acceleration;; He went there to support Kwon Taehan because the guy might have a hard time, right? But think about it normally, does it make sense to hit a Hunter coming out after clearing a Gate with a car?? Think about it like a normal person;;

[Chat] I don’t think Seo Jehyun hit Kwon Taehan with a car

The situation timeline makes no sense

Seo Jehyun went there to help Kwon Taehan, so ⊛ Nоvеlιght ⊛ (Read the full story) there’s no way he’d hit him with a car there.... And Seo Jehyun has already gotten a ton of media attention, so unless he was actually insane, there’s no way he’d hit someone with a car in a situation where reporters were lined up everywhere

I heard Seo Jehyun was the one who immediately called over a healer for first aid too, and Seo Jehyun also ripped off the car door

Looks like sudden unintended acceleration after all... when I watched the interview again, Seo Jehyun also looked really out of it

― Does that make sense?? What are you talking about? Then are you saying the car suddenly accelerated, and he still turned the wheel and hit Kwon Taehan’s car exactly? That makes no sense

└ Nobody knows at what exact timing the sudden unintended acceleration happened, and maybe he hit the brakes but just kept sliding like that

└ I think it really was sudden unintended acceleration too. Otherwise it just doesn’t make sense in normal terms

└ People who were at the scene said it seemed like it got settled as sudden unintended acceleration?

└ No;; ah, this is so frustrating, I’m telling you it can’t be sudden unintended acceleration, okay? He backed up once and then rammed into him again, how the fuck is that sudden unintended acceleration?

― I think it was sudden unintended acceleration, but I still think we should wait and see first. That’s my opinionㅇㅇ

[Chat] One thing’s for sure, this incident will settle Seo Jehyun’s personality debate

If it really was sudden unintended acceleration: even in that situation, he looked after Kwon Taehan, called over a healer for emergency treatment in the middle of all those panicking people, promised compensation on camera, called 119, handled the aftermath, ripped off the car door, and saved Kwon Taehan

If it wasn’t sudden unintended acceleration: then no matter what grudge he had, he hit a Hunter who had just come out after clearing an A-rank dungeon with a car twice in a crowded place like he was trying to kill him

If it’s the former, then like Seok Jiwon said, that stuff about him being unexpectedly altruistic and all that is true, and if it’s the latter then he’s just a psychopath

― Is it actually true that Seo Jehyun and Kwon Taehan were on bad terms? Why is everyone saying it like it’s a fact

└ Isn’t it a fact that Kwon Taehan grabbed Seo Jehyun by the collar? There was even a video going around

└ And that was enough of a grudge to ram him with a car??

└ Nobody knows whether it was just the collar grab or whether there’s some other story behind it

[Chat] Whether it was sudden unintended acceleration or not, Seo Jehyun is still creepy

No but even his attitude during the interview was weird, and he was way too calm

And his expression too, and in the scene cam it looked like he was kind of smiling while looking at the SH Guild healer, and honestly that expression gave me chills

No, how can someone smile while looking at a person lying there collapsed?

― I heard the SH Hunter next to him is twenty, so obviously he was smiling to reassure him

└ I heard he’s twenty-one...

└ Same difference;

― So it wasn’t just me who found Seo Jehyun creepy; I also thought he looked way too calm in that situation.... Kind of like a crazy person

― I do think he has psychopathic tendencies, but rather than it being a Seo Jehyun problem, don’t all high-rank Hunters kind of feel a little psychopathic..?

└ But Seo Jehyun is B-rank, so it’s kind of iffy to call him truly high-rank

└ This is too much;; Korea’s representative S-rank Hunter is Im Haekyung. With Im Haekyung around, you’re saying high-rank Hunters tend to be psychopaths?

└ Im Haekyung is the exception, and if you look at Hunters overseas too, there are actually a lot of cases where the higher rank they get, the more psychopathic they seem. I mean nonhuman, I guess

└ But Im Haekyung and Seo Jehyun are super close, right? Aren’t they dating??

└ Dating is obviously just a rumor;;
