Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

The surrounding and distant spiritual energy users all fired at Lin Ye, but Lin Ye didn’t lay a hand on these people. He simply turned the wheel and drove the truck through the portal.

After he left, the portal automatically closed, and only then did those spiritual energy users stop shooting.

Unsure whether he could make a move on the other side, Lin Ye merely left some parasitic organisms inside those people’s bodies—creatures capable of automatically growing and spreading outward. He didn’t directly kill them.

‘Sigh, I’m still too nice.’

Lin Ye drove the truck through the ruins. He still had no idea what this exploration mission specifically required, only that it probably involved driving and delivering goods.

And just now, he had taken out a recipient.

‘Oh well, might as well treat it like a road trip.’

Lin Ye planned to collect some materials first, then find another portal.

‘But this area doesn’t seem to have anything good...’

Lin Ye sensed his surroundings. The ruins contained only low-tier spiritual energy materials, but those materials seemed to be tainted with some kind of aura he had never felt before. That was probably why those people wanted to collect these materials.

Lin Ye created some parasitic organisms. The moment these parasites left the road’s range, they were affected by something in the surrounding environment, suffering varying degrees of ”damage.”

‘What a pain in the ass...’

The Parasitism Network was an incredibly useful tool for Lin Ye—whether for combat, information gathering, or even manual labor, it was convenient and highly efficient.

But the Parasitism Network had one issue Lin Ye hadn’t paid much attention to before: none of the parasitic organisms were very stable.

After all, they were hastily made things, the complete opposite of stability. Under normal circumstances, this wasn’t a problem because Lin Ye didn’t need to maintain the Parasitism Network long-term, and even if those parasites began to Alienate, it wouldn’t affect the network’s effectiveness.

But here, it was different. This environment seemed to make unstable things even more unstable, until they completely collapsed.

That was absolutely fatal for the Parasitism Network.

And without the Parasitism Network, Lin Ye would have to personally venture into the ruins to find anything valuable—an extremely dangerous and time-wasting activity.

It felt as awful as a modern person addicted to their phone suddenly time-traveling to a primitive era without even an electrical outlet.

‘Stable... stable Mutation Creatures...’

Lin Ye tried to craft a stable Alienated Body, but he wasn’t carrying enough flesh and blood materials to consume.

A stable Alienated Body wasn’t just about organizational stability; the materials used to make it also had to be stable enough.

Lin Ye could only make some relatively stable small-scale alienated organisms. It took him ten minutes just to produce a single structurally stable Red Frog.

“Go forth! From now on, my logistics empire depends on you!”

Lin Ye tossed the Red Frog into the ruins. A creature with two legs, six arms, and a flat head suddenly charged over from a distance, snatching the Red Frog in one bite.

Before leaving, it shot Lin Ye a mocking glance.

*Boom!*

The Red Frog exploded inside the creature’s belly, blowing it clean in half. The remaining upper body landed next to the truck.

“You know what? Just now, while I was making that structurally stable alienated organism, I suddenly realized that the most stable thing I can make is actually bombs. Don’t look at me like that—I have no idea what’s wrong with this world either. How is a bomb-making technique more stable than my alienated organisms...”

When he made that Red Frog earlier, Lin Ye had also felt a bit baffled... not unlike this creature that was now just an upper body.

While Lin Ye was chatting with the creature’s upper half, a heavy-duty truck drove over from a distance and quickly stopped in front of his. A scantily clad woman jumped out.

She appeared to be around thirty, wearing only a tank top and shorts, with most of her skin exposed to the air.

“Hey! What the hell was that thing! Don’t toss dangerous junk like that in here!”

The woman swung a heavy hammer in her hand, eyeing Lin Ye with a sharp gaze.

“If you compensate me for my Explosion Red Frog right now, I’ll spare your life.”

Lin Ye sensed the pile of materials stacked inside the heavy-duty truck and secretly hoped the woman would refuse his offer.

But the woman didn’t act as arrogantly as Lin Ye expected. Seeing his reaction, she cautiously stepped back a few paces and asked:

“How much do you want me to pay?”

“I spent ten minutes making that Explosion Red Frog. You need to compensate me for the time I wasted.”

Seeing that she was willing to communicate, Lin Ye decided to give her a chance.

“How about I tell you the right way to collect items here?”

The woman wasn’t sure if Lin Ye was really that strong, but he was way too calm—she had only ever felt that kind of composure from big shots.

And his outfit was seriously intimidating.

To the woman, Lin Ye didn’t look like a driver trying to make money hauling goods, but rather a noble young master slumming it for the experience.

“Throw in some stable flesh-and-blood materials too.”

Lin Ye said with some regret.

After all, he wasn’t a bandit, and she had only eaten one of his Explosion Red Frogs.

“Fine... You should know how things work here. As long as we don’t leave the road, we drivers won’t be affected by the ruins, and the dangerous creatures inside won’t come out to attack us. But we have to watch out for other drivers and the forces behind those portals. Here’s a blueprint for making stable organisms—killing dangerous creatures in the ruins drops these blueprints, and materials can be harvested from their corpses.”

The woman handed Lin Ye a blueprint and pulled out some biological materials from her spatial item, placing them on the ground.

“Good. You can go now.”

Lin Ye took the blueprint and glanced over it. The biological structure on the paper wasn’t complex, but unlike the highly aggressive alienated organisms he usually made, the structure here focused more on stability.

The woman obediently climbed back into her heavy-duty truck. But as she started the engine, hesitation flickered in her mind.

If she could take out Lin Ye, she probably wouldn’t have to keep delivering goods here.

In the end, though, she didn’t act on those thoughts. She turned the wheel and drove away.

“What a shame.”

Lin Ye began using the materials to craft new Explosion Red Frogs, referencing the blueprint. Having already made one before, this time it only took him half a minute to send Explosion Red Frog Number Two into the ruins.

One by one, Red Frogs jumped out of the materials like copies. Lin Ye returned to his truck and began checking the interior of the ruins through his mini Parasitism Network.
