Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”...Can that duplicate be given to her?”

Bessie Pro’s expression was somewhat conflicted; it didn’t understand why it was giving this answer either.

”Sure. Even if you hadn’t said it, I wouldn’t take back something I’d already given away... Is that enough?”

Lin Ye pushed open the door. Outside was an elevator lobby of the same specifications as the one downstairs, but this lobby was filled with pale yellow wooden cubes of varying side lengths, irregularly embedded in the floor, walls, and ceiling.

”This place looks a bit off.”

Bessie Pro walked into the elevator lobby. The cubes showed no change, and it wasn’t affected in any way either.

”Not bad. At least the elevator is here.”

Lin Ye used his mental energy to perceive the entire elevator lobby, quickly grasping the information here.

The good news was that this was indeed Floor 3942; the elevator was stuck on this floor, blocked by one of the cubes.

The bad news was that Andrew was gone. Considering the situation here, there was an eighty percent chance he had entered the floor space.”Could your companion have gone up first? After all, we spent quite some time downstairs. Why don’t we go up and take a look first?”

Bessie just glanced around and reached the same conclusion as Lin Ye. She also thought Andrew had entered the floor space, but she really didn’t want to go in and take the risk.

”Then the elevator wouldn’t be stuck here.”

Lin Ye entered the elevator lobby, carefully sensing for any changes around him, but he perceived nothing. It was as if those cubes were just ordinary decorations.

But they couldn’t possibly be decorations; otherwise, Andrew wouldn’t have been forced to enter the floor space.

Bessie, pulling the duplicate along, also entered the elevator lobby. The door behind them closed. Just like the floor below, the elevator lobby only had one door leading to the floor space.

”This door connects to two floor spaces. Opening it now should change it into the Floor 3942 space.”

Lin Ye opened the door. Inside had transformed into a pale yellow space, entirely composed of cubes of varying sizes stacked and spliced together.

”...Do we really have to go in? There’s not even a normal place to stand inside; it’s all these yellow blocks. It’s fine up close, but going deeper feels like it would be easy to get lost.”

Lin Ye just gave Bessie a look, and she obediently picked up the duplicate and jumped into the pale yellow space.

She was smart; she knew Lin Ye wouldn’t let her stay behind because she would definitely take the elevator and escape alone.

Lin Ye also jumped into the pale yellow space, landing on a cube about five meters in diameter.

Bessie Pro followed behind Lin Ye, helping him watch their rear.

The three of them leaped forward across cubes of different sizes. After Lin Ye entered, Bessie had been sticking close to him.

”That guy didn’t really go up, did he? How come there’s not a single trace left here?”

Bessie hoped to find Andrew as soon as possible so she could leave this place, but she found no trace Andrew had left behind. Tracking and hiding were, after all, her two most proficient skills.

”Maybe the terrain here changes. But it’s fine; I can find his location.”

Andrew had a biological sample implanted in his body. Lin Ye could sense the location of biological samples within a certain range.

Moreover, Bessie Pro was also here. Its sensing range for biological samples was larger than Lin Ye’s.

”Over there... Wait, it seems like it’s over there too.”

Bessie Pro pointed in two completely opposite directions, sounding puzzled.

”Has he already been dismembered? I’m so sad. I’ll remember him forever, that... elevator guy. Can we go back now?”

Bessie said, suppressing her cheerful mood.

”...He’s still a ninth-tier spiritual energy user. Would he be dismembered that quickly? Let’s go take a look anyway. If he’s dead, we can at least collect his remains.”

Lin Ye hadn’t expected Andrew to be this useless.

Guided by Bessie Pro, they quickly found Andrew’s left leg. Lin Ye could confirm it was Andrew’s pant leg and body fragments.

However, inside Andrew’s left leg, Lin Ye discovered a large number of wooden structures.

These wooden structures were like the body’s original tissue, mixed with Andrew’s flesh and blood, looking extremely bizarre.

Lin Ye carefully examined his own body structure and found that some tissues had already grown imperceptibly tiny wooden structures.

”Take me to find the remaining fragments of Andrew.”

Since the possibility that Andrew was still alive couldn’t be ruled out, Lin Ye prepared to put in a bit more effort.

Also, before leaving, he felt it best to first study the properties of these wooden structures.

”Okay.”

Bessie Pro led the way. Lin Ye carried Andrew’s left leg, studying the properties of the wooden structures on it as they went.

The three of them quickly found Andrew’s right leg, Andrew’s left hand, and Andrew’s right hand. Only Andrew’s torso and head remained unfound.

By this time, Bessie had already discovered the wooden structures inside her body. These structures were beginning to affect her mobility.

”I won’t need an amputation too, will I?”

Bessie moved her body with some discomfort.

”No need. Your heart should be fine. This type of wooden structure can’t grow on tumor-like structures. When we get out, I’ll help you deal with it, and you’ll be fine.”

Lin Ye hadn’t yet fully researched all the properties of this wooden structure, but he discovered it seemed unable to grow on tumor-like structures. As long as tumor-like structures were mixed into the body’s tissues, the wooden structures within the tissue would quickly collapse and disappear.

”He’s ahead. Seems to still be alive.”

Bessie pointed forward.

”Wait. Don’t get close to that area.”

Lin Ye also sensed Andrew’s location. The other party seemed to be fighting something. Moreover, the space ahead was no longer composed of cubes but of various different geometric structures combined.

”Wait here for me. I’ll go over and get him back.”

Lin Ye charged at full speed toward Andrew’s location. As he passed through those non-cubic geometric structures, a large number of wooden structures grew inside his body. These wooden structures seemed to be preparing to form some more complex geometric structure within him.

A multitude of tumor-like structures proliferated inside Lin Ye’s body. These tumor-like structures combined with the wooden structures, destabilizing them.

”Get out of here! Don’t worry about me! And don’t stay here!”

Andrew noticed Lin Ye and urgently shouted.

By now, he was already surrounded by a large number of bizarrely shaped wooden structures, which were further transforming their shapes.

”If you had just taken the elevator up first, I wouldn’t have had to come rescue you.”

Lin Ye did not attack those bizarre wooden structures. Andrew had definitely attacked these things before being reduced to fragments.
