Chapter 415: Long Wei Meet The Two Clans

Meanwhile, a woman landed quite a distance from the Feng Clan, and her eyes drifted toward the clan. ”Sigh, how should I look for that guy called Ling Yun? Should I go there and ask Feng Ruxue in person?”

The woman was none other than Xuanyuan Xiangʼer, who was assigned by Xuanyuan Xueʼer to follow and monitor Ling Yun, she then raised her eyebrows as she saw another woman sitting on top of the tree, and she also kept looking at the Feng Clan. ”What is that woman doing here? As I recall, she was a former disciple of the Lotus Sect and Xue Xingʼs direct disciple.”

Sensing her gaze, Wen Qing turned to Xuanyuan Xiangʼer, and she was surprised to see the symbol on her dress. ʼWhy is the woman from the Xuanyuan Clan in this city? Could it be that Xuanyuan Xueʼer ordered her to watch over the Feng Clan? But thatʼs impossible, especially since the three ancient clans have never interfered with each other, so what is her purpose for coming here?ʼ

Seeing Wen Qingʼs suspicious expression towards her, Xuanyuan Xiangʼer immediately averted her eyes, but she did not leave the place and kept watching the Feng Clan, thinking of ways to find Ling Yun.

On the other hand, Wen Qing also thought for some time before she sent a sound transmission to Huo Ye, Long Qiu, and Lei Lin, informing them of Xuanyuan Xiangʼerʼs presence.

Since Feng Ruxue was not in the clan, the three young women immediately went to see Feng Lingʼer and told her about the news, and she then informed the two ancestors of the Feng Clan.

After that, Feng Bingʼer and Feng Yujie immediately appeared before Xuanyuan Xiangʼer, startling her.

ʼShit! Why are these two ancestors in this city? As I recall, they have lived in solitude in the volcano for a long time.ʼ Xuanyuan Xiangʼer grumbled in her heart, and she then greeted them respectfully. ”Greetings, Seniors.”

”What are you doing in this town? And why are you keeping an eye on our clan?” Feng Bingʼer asked with a raised eyebrow.

Feng Yujie also spoke to her. ”You better not lie to us, or else weʼll capture you right now; not even Xuanyuan Xueʼer can free you from us.”

Xuanyuan Xiangʼer took a deep breath, was frightened by her threat, and answered her. ”Honestly, Big Sis Xueʼer sent me to follow and monitor the man named Ling Yun. Since he is Madam Fengʼs husband, I came to this city.”

The two women were surprised to hear that, but Feng Bingʼer remembered Ling Yunʼs black dragon form, and she was sure that Xuanyuan Xueʼer suspected him of possessing dark qi.

Before Feng Yujie could ask Xuanyuan Xiangʼer, Feng Bingʼer immediately stopped her little sister by shaking her head, and she then said. ”I understand Xueʼerʼs purpose in sending you here, and I wonʼt forbid you from carrying out your task, but I wonʼt remain silent if you and the Xuanyuan Clan find trouble with Ling Yun.”

”I understand, Senior.” Xuanyuan Xiangʼer breathed a sigh of relief after the two women left; she then glanced at Wen Qing and cursed inwardly. ʼTch! It must be that damn woman who reported my presence to them.ʼ

Meanwhile, another woman was also looking at the Feng Clan, and she had actually arrived a while ago. However, when she saw Feng Bingʼer and Feng Yujie appear before Xuanyuan Xiangʼer, she immediately hid to avoid them.

The woman was none other than Lu Wanʼer, she had purposely gone to Feng City after the fox-masked woman ordered her to investigate Ling Yun, especially since he was Feng Ruxueʼs husband, so the easiest way to find her was by spying on the Feng Clan.

However, Lu Wanʼer did not expect that Xuanyuan Xueʼer would also send someone to investigate Ling Yun, but Xuanyuan Xiangʼer was too stupid in her eyes, for her presence lured out the Feng Clan Ancestors.

”I donʼt understand why Xuanyuan Xueʼer sent such an incompetent woman.” Lu Wanʼer muttered as she shook her head. ”It seems that man isnʼt in this town right now, so Iʼll go to the inn and wait for him to appear, or those old monsters will notice my presence.”

After that, Lu Wanʼer turned around, went to one of the townʼs inns, and chose a room that she could use to monitor the Feng Clan without arousing their suspicions.

”Whoʼs that woman, Aunt?” Feng Lingʼer asked Feng Bingʼer.

Feng Bingʼer sighed and replied. ”Her name is Xuanyuan Xiangʼer, and she is one of Xuanyuan Xueʼerʼs confidants.”

Long Qiu frowned upon hearing that. ”Aunt Bingʼer, you should capture that woman; she is a traitor from the Xuanyuan Clan.”

”Hmm?” Feng Bingʼer turned to her with a raised eyebrow.

Long Qiu then explained to her. ”Did Big Sis Ruxue not explain it to you? She, He Yi, Feng Hao, and Feng Xiyun conspired with the Mo Clan.”

”I see.” Feng Bingʼer sighed and said to her. ”Since that woman is a traitor, I think Xuanyuan Xueʼer already knew about it, and thatʼs why she sent her to follow Ling Yun.”

Feng Yujie nodded in agreement with her big sister. ”Big Sis is right, Iʼm sure Xuanyuan Xueʼer isnʼt stupid, and she must have planned something for that woman, or else she wouldnʼt have sent such a foolish woman here.”

”So are you two going to let her follow Ling Yun, Senior?” Huo Ye asked in confusion.

As for Lei Lin, she felt that there was no need to worry about Ling Yun, especially since Ling Xi had always been by his side, so no one would be able to harm him.

”Just let her do her job.” Feng Bingʼer answered as she nodded. ”Iʼm sure Xuanyuan Xueʼer wonʼt act rashly to attack Ling Yun, especially since he hasnʼt done anything bad in this place. Moreover, with his relationship with this clan and the Lotus Sect, she will think twice about going into trouble with him.”

Huo Ye nodded in understanding. ”Well, you are absolutely right, Senior.”

”Anyway, why doesnʼt that woman still want to come here?” Feng Yujie asked as she turned toward Wen Qing.

The three women laughed at her question, and Lei Lin answered her. ”Leave Wen Qing alone, she felt embarrassed to meet us, so she chose to wait for Ling Yun there.”

After hearing that, Feng Yujie shook her head; she and Feng Bingʼer left them and returned to the phoenix altar to cultivate.

Feng Lingʼer then asked the three women. ”Are you guys still going to wait for Ling Yun to come back here?”

”Yes.” The three women answered simultaneously.

Meanwhile, Long Wei arrived at a city. Since the Liang and Sun Clans lived in the same town, he asked their Patriarch to gather in one place and immediately went to meet them.

Before long, Long Wei was already sitting on the seat of the head of one of the clans, looking thoughtfully at the two men sitting on the side, and informed them of his decision. ”Liang Kuang! Sun Jian! From now on, I have decided to stop supporting the clans of you two.”

”What?” They screamed in shock after hearing that.

Liang Kuang asked him directly. ”Patriarch Long, why did you suddenly decide on such a thing? Our clans have been on good terms for a long time, and we have never brought trouble to the Long Clan.”

”Please tell us the reason, Patriarch Long.” Although he was angry with Long Weiʼs decision, he still spoke respectfully, for he could kill him easily, and it would bring disaster to his Sun Clan.

Long Wei sighed and answered them. ”You two must know Qiuʼerʼs character, right? Iʼm doing this for my daughterʼs future.”

”Hmm? Liang Kuang and Sun Jian raised their eyebrows upon hearing that. They naturally knew about Long Qiu, and Long Wei greatly cherished his eldest daughter. However, they couldnʼt believe that he would decide on such a thing just for the sake of their daughter, and they felt there was another reason behind it.

Seeing their reactions, Long Wei shook his head and spoke again. ”You two may not believe me, but I made this decision for my daughterʼs sake and no other reason.”

After saying that, Long Wei immediately took out his device, opened a portal, and disappeared from their sight.

”Damn it!” Liang Kuang immediately cursed and asked Sun Jian. ”Do you think his words are true?”

”I donʼt believe his words at all.” Sun Jian shook his head at him. ”I donʼt know why Long Wei decided like that, but we canʼt know the truth.”

Liang Kuang sighed heavily and spoke disappointedly. ”Since Long Wei stopped supporting us, our clan will no longer have any chance of competing with the Zhang and Nangong Clans for the Upper Clanʼs position.”

”Youʼre right; we can stop hoping for that position.” Sun Jian also spoke in disappointment, for he really hoped to raise his clanʼs status, but his hopes were dashed by Long Weiʼs decision. ”Will you attend the meeting with those clans in two days?”

”Yes.” Liang Kuang nodded to him. ”Long Weiʼs decision might have something to do with it, so it would be better for us to still attend the meeting, and we might be able to find out the truth at the meeting.

Sun Jian could only nod to him. ”All right, we will attend the meeting later.”
