Chapter 243: Tang Zhiyiʼs Decision

While Ling Yun was having fun with Ying Zi, on the other hand, Tang Zhiyi was sitting opposite a fat man, who kept looking at her lustfully.

”Why did you call me to come here, Producer?” Tang Zhiyi nonchalantly asked, and she wasnʼt surprised that he would call her to meet him.

”Are you aware of what youʼve done, Zhiyi?” The fat man asked her as he raised his eyebrows.

Tang Zhiyi still looked relaxed; she didnʼt feel pressured at all by the news about her and Ling Yun, and she was also still thinking about finding a solution to her problem. ”Of course, Iʼm aware of that, but...”

”Do you want your career to be ruined just like that?” The fat man interrupted her and looked at Tang Zhiyi seriously. ”I can help you, but...”

”But what?” Even so, Tang Zhiyi had already guessed his intentions.

The fat man cleared his throat before he answered Tang Zhiyi. ”As long as you are willing to fulfill my one condition, then I will take care of your matters without leaving a trace.”

Tang Zhiyi raised an eyebrow, and she already knew the condition he would give her; she then asked with a faint smile. ”What is your one condition?”

*Tap... Tap...*

The fat man tapped his finger on the table slowly as he narrowed his eyes at Tang Zhiyi. ”You must end your love affair with that young man and marry me.”

”Hahaha!” As she clutched her stomach, Tang Zhiyi continued to laugh out loud, causing tears to drip slightly from her eyes.

The fat man frowned at her like that, and his face darkened. He then banged on the table hard and shouted at Tang Zhiyi. ”Why are you laughing? Do you really want your career to be ruined because of your relationship with him? And I was so kind enough to help you!”

”Haha!” Tang Zhiyi still couldnʼt stop laughing, and he continued to laugh for a few minutes. After she calmed herself down, she spoke in a disgusted tone. ”You want me to marry you? Do you think you are worthy to be my husband?”

”You-”

”Thatʼs too ridiculous! Just look at yourself in the mirror; your face is too ugly, and your body is as fat as a pig.” Tang Zhiyi then stood up and turned to leave as she spoke again. ”Whatʼs more, you already have two wives, and you still want me to be your wife?”

She then walked towards the exit, and the fat man shouted at her. ”Tang Zhiyi! I will definitely make you regret your insult to me, and I assure you that your career in the entertainment world will be over!”

Tang Zhiyi stopped walking and turned to him. ”Did you know? My future husband is far more important than my career, and I donʼt mind if my career is ruined as long as I can be with him.”

The fat man was dumbfounded after hearing her words, he couldnʼt believe that Tang Zhiyi would say such a thing, and she was even willing to ruin her career just to be with Ling Yun.

But alas, the fat man did not know the depth of their relationship. If Tang Zhiyi had not met Ling Yun in the past, then she would have disappeared from the entertainment world long ago.

That was why, if Tang Zhiyi was given a choice between her career and Ling Yunʼs, she would not hesitate to choose him over her career as an actress.

”Are you two eavesdropping on our conversation?” Tang Zhiyi asked the two young girls in front of her with a relieved smile.

Chen Ying and Shen Yu looked down in shame; they didnʼt expect Tang Zhiyi would catch them eavesdropping on their conversation.

Chen Ying hugged Tang Zhiyiʼs arm and asked in a spoiling manner. ”Are you really going to quit the entertainment world, Zhiyi Jie?”

”Are you sure about your decision, Zhiyi Jie?” Shen Yu also asked as she hugged Tang Zhiyiʼs other arm.

It was obvious that they were unwilling to let Tang Zhiyi leave the entertainment world—or rather, leave them—because she was an important figure to them.

When they first became actresses, they were still too young, and it was Tang Zhiyi who helped and guided them to adapt to life as actresses. Moreover, she was like their big sister, and it was also her who recommended them to their current agency.

Tang Zhiyi pulled his hands from their embraces, then she hugged them as she gently caressed their arms. ”I know how you both feel, but Iʼm getting old now, and my time as an actress will be running out. Sooner or later, Iʼll also be leaving the world of entertainment, so I thought this was the right time for me to leave, and I want to enjoy my life with him.”

”But Zhiyie Jie-”

”You two are still very young now, and you guys still have a long way to go in the world of entertainment. But I believe you two will become more famous actresses than me someday.” Tang Zhiyi said as she released them from her embrace and then took their hands. ”How about you two accompany me to confront those reporters?”

”En.” Chen Ying and Shen Yu nodded in agreement, and the three of them rushed to the press conference room, where the reporters were already waiting for Tang Zhiyi.

Before long, Tang Zhiyi was already standing in front of dozens of reporters who wanted to get an answer from her, while Chen Ying and Shen Yu stood uneasily behind her.

The reporter started throwing lots of questions at Tang Zhiyi, but she still kept her mouth shut, and she kept looking at them.

”Iʼm sorry, but I am standing before you now not to answer your questions, and I just want to convey my decision for my future.” The reporters fell silent after Tang Zhiyi said that, and they waited for her next words. ”As in the video you have seen before, the young man in the video is my future husband, and it was taken after he proposed to me.”

The reporters gasped at Tang Zhiyiʼs confession, and the room went into an uproar. They started throwing all kinds of questions at her again.

”Like I said before, Iʼm not going to answer your questions.” Tang Zhiyi then took a deep breath. ”Iʼve been an actress for decades, and Iʼve also failed in my previous marriage. After that, I was always focused on my career, and I even forgot about my personal life. You guys still remember that I fell into depression several years ago, right?

At that time, he always accompanied and supported me, and he was the one who helped me regain my confidence.”

The reporters fell silent after hearing that; they must still remember the incident several years ago, when Tang Zhiyi was even hospitalized because of her depression.

”Since then, weʼve always been together, but I never thought that he would propose to me, and I was so happy about it that I didnʼt realize that someone had recorded us.” Tang Zhiyi was silent for a while and looked at them one by one before she spoke again. ”To put an end to your speculations, after I finish filming for the last episode, I will leave the entertainment world.

Because he is much more important than my career, and I want to focus on our relationship.”

After she said that, Tang Zhiyi quickly left the press conference room, ignoring the reporters who kept throwing questions at her.

Chen Ying and Shen Yu exchanged glances for a moment and sighed heavily, and they then rushed after Tang Zhiyi.

Elsewhere, a woman was lying on the bed as she watched Tang Zhiyiʼs press conference, and her face darkened after she heard her decision. ”Damn it! I really didnʼt expect her to make such a decision, and her decision made all my efforts go to waste.”

*Crack*

”Why are you angry like that? I can even hear your voice from outside.” Another woman asked as she walked into the bedroom.

She sighed heavily and answered her question. ”Hey, Wu! Tang Zhiyi really has a romantic relationship with Ling Yun.”

”Hmm? Where did you get that information, Ying?” Duan Wu asked with a raised eyebrow.

Qing Ying immediately showed her the video on her smartphone, and Duan Wu was really surprised to see them kissing so passionately. ”Hey, Iʼm pretty sure that Ling Yun was with the three women at the hotel that night, but I donʼt understand how he could disappear that day.”

”Forget it, Ying.” Duan Wu shook her head. ”That matter is long past, and we can do nothing to change it.”

”Arenʼt you angry with how he treated us?” Qing Ying asked with a frown. ”Although having sex with him is very satisfying, he treats us like prostitutes, and I can never accept that.”

”Even though I was angry with the way he treated me, I also realized that it was my fault. Back then, I wanted to use my position to imprison him, and I also helped you without solid evidence.” Duan Wu then laid down on the bed and spoke again. ”Moreover, Ling Yun has never forced us to have sex with him, and we do it because we want to.”

”Tch!” Qing Ying gritted her teeth upon hearing her answer.
