Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1292: Section 1293 Same Boat

Seen a ship?

The information provided by White Bear confused everyone.

“You mean to say that the person is currently on the ship? Could it be, he has already boarded a ship and fled?” Suise asked.

White Bear shook his head, his expression carrying an imperceptible hint of embarrassment, “It isn’t like that, because using the art of Prophecy to sense the future is, with my power… rather difficult to achieve, whereas tracing the past that has already occurred is relatively simple. So, the ship I saw should be the one he took to Edge Island.”

Although White Bear did not provide a specific direction, this clue could actually lead to many deductions.

First, from the clue that the person arrived at the Old Earth Continent by ship!

...
“Generally speaking, those who come by ship are basically Wizard Apprentices who don’t have long-distance travel vessels,” Sanders said, tapping his knuckles lightly on the table: “And Official Wizards, unless they have a special mission, will generally not stay on a ship. And such special missions are, in fact, not frequent, either being on watch, being a Guide, or being hired, which are all quite rare circumstances.”

“Mentor means to say that it’s highly likely that person is a Wizard Apprentice?” Angel asked.

Actually, this possibility also existed, because they had already speculated before that King Gumman could not use his heart’s blood to connect with the ‘Blood Origin Retrospection,’ because any damage to the heart’s blood would also be a huge blow to King Gumman, even an irreparable flaw, possibly even affecting his future prospects!

Since it wasn’t King Gumman’s blood, the owner of the Crimson Authority being a Wizard Apprentice was indeed possible.

Sanders: “We can’t confirm it, but we cannot rule out this possibility.”

Angel looked back at White Bear, originally he hadn’t been too concerned about whether they could catch the owner of the Crimson Authority. But now that he knew the owner had to be dealt with so that the group of servants influenced by the Crimson Authority could come to their senses, possibly moving to the Wilderness of Dreams, he had to care about this matter.

“What exactly does that ship look like?” As Angel asked, he conjured a faint wisp of smoke to create an Illusion, within which there was a blurry outline of a ship.

White Bear glanced at it and shook his head, “It’s not this type of small vessel, it’s a large cargo ship.”

The outline in the Illusion instantly doubled in size, and the shape of a standard cargo ship appeared.

“The masts are red, there are four decks above the hull, and the crow’s nest has a marker… The figurehead is of a proud and soaring white-headed Sea Eagle…” As White Bear described, the Illusion became clearer and clearer, and the cargo ship he saw gradually emerged.

Everyone carefully observed the cargo ship in the Illusion.

“This cargo ship, from its style, seems to be from White Shell Marine Transport Company,” Angel remarked quietly, looking at the cargo ship floating in the center.

He once rode on the Bauhinia Vessel and the Cloud Conch from the White Shell Maritime Company, so he was quite familiar with the company’s ships. Just from the style of the ship, it indeed looked like it could be from the White Shell Maritime Company’s design in recent decades.

Sanders also nodded in confirmation, “That’s right, it’s from White Shell Maritime Company. Their shipping routes, whether it be the departure time, arrival time, or the general personnel on board, should all be recorded. It seems we need to inquire at a branch of the White Shell Maritime Company.”

Angel agreed, behind the White Shell Maritime Company stood the Sky Mechanical City. If they mentioned Midora’s name, or went to inquire with the research institute’s access card, they might be entitled to some convenience.

As Angel was thinking this, Suise suddenly said, “I know this ship.”

Everyone’s gaze immediately turned towards Suise.

Suise’s expression was extremely unpleasant, and even his usually stern face showed a clear contortion. Through clenched teeth, he squeezed out a sentence, “The name of this ship is the White-headed Sea Eagle, and it is indeed from the White Shell Maritime Company.”

“White-headed Sea Eagle?” Sanders’ brows furrowed slightly, “How do you know?”

“Because… when I came back, it was on this ship that I traveled!”

Suise’s words were like a bombshell, leaving everyone stunned for a moment.

“For some matters regarding Eulica’s mental injuries, I went to meet Elisa at Shaloo Ridge. On the way back, I unintentionally received a message from Merysha asking if I was willing to be stationed on the White-headed Sea Eagle. When I learned that the White-headed Sea Eagle’s destination was the Old Earth Continent, I took on this escort mission on the spot.”

As he spoke, Suise’s expression grew so gloomy it seemed almost as if water could drip from it.

Everyone looked at Suise’s dark face, finally understanding why he was so upset when mentioning this matter.

If he returned to the Old Earth Continent on that ship, it meant that he and the source of disaster shared the same route! Moreover, Suise was the escort Wizard, and the petty criminal, hidden under Suise’s protection, successfully reached the Old Earth Continent and even turned against him. That was why Suise felt angry.

The room fell silent for a while before Sanders turned to Suise and said, “Since he came here with you, the time and place match up. The question now is, who exactly is he?”

Although Suise was furious, as an Official Wizard, his control over his own emotions was unquestionable.

Facing Sanders’s confusion, Suise restrained the fury that was almost bursting out of his chest and quickly calmed down, “Apart from when I boarded the ship and determined that the most powerful person on board was a Level 3 Apprentice, I did not sense any more. For the rest of the time, I stayed in my room, concocting potions.”

That is to say, Suise actually couldn’t be certain who the hidden hand lurking in the shadows was.

For a moment, the situation seemed to have reached a deadlock again.

“Perhaps, we still need to inquire at the branch of the White Shell Marine Transport,” Angel thought to himself.

At that time, Suise added, “Although I don’t know the people on the ship well, the Wizard Apprentices aboard the White Bear should know about this.”

“That may be so, but where can we find these Apprentices? Have they not left the Old Earth Continent after all this time?” Angel asked.

Suise did not speak but turned his gaze to Lyon.

After they had spoken about the Crimson Authority, Lyon had remained silent, his thoughts entirely focused on the piece of parchment in the pocket of his armor. Only when Suise, his Mentor, looked at him did he abruptly snap back to reality.

Lyon: “Apprentice, Apprentice… Oh, that’s right, a couple of days ago, two Wizard Apprentices burst into the manor!”

A while later, those two Apprentices appeared in the hall.

However, one of them was in a state of madness, bound up by Suise who didn’t stop struggling and roaring in anger. The occasional flash of red in his eyes suggested that he too had been affected by the power of the Crimson Authority.

The other appeared very weak, with a pale face, and beads of sweat formed on her forehead with even the slightest movement of her hands or feet. When she saw so many powerful wizards in the hall, including the legendary Illusion Master, she was completely stunned to the point of being too afraid to even breathe.

These two Apprentices were the ones who had intruded into Pat Manor a few days ago. The mad Apprentice was Henry, known as ‘Mute Fire Treant’ from Gravity Forest. The other female Apprentice was ‘Double Serpent’ Phylling from Hurricane Tower.

According to Lyon’s account, these two Apprentices had entered Pat Manor together and encountered the frenzied Eulica. Henry was unfortunately affected by the Crimson Authority, while Phylling was luckier and, before Eulica could escalate the damage, Suise arrived in time and led Eulica away.

Although Eulica left with Suise, Henry was left behind at the scene. The mad Henry became more aggressive and bloodthirsty. Taking advantage of Phylling’s inattention, he ambushed her from behind.

Phylling suffered heavy injuries and wanted to flee the manor. Although it was easy to enter the sealing circle, it was hard to leave. Phylling had no choice but to fight Henry. She was a snake-controlling wizard, but her snakes used elemental attacks, which were almost powerless in the Old Earth Continent. As the fight progressed, she became more and more disadvantaged, culminating in her current condition. If Suise hadn’t returned to rescue her, Phylling might have died.

Lyon’s account reminded Angel of the signs of a struggle they found at the entrance when they arrived at Pat Manor. They had conjectured that it was two Apprentices fighting, likely the current Phylling and Henry.

“Why did they come to the manor?” Angel looked towards Lyon.

Lyon spoke softly, “According to Phylling, they came here because they sensed energy fluctuations. But I find it a bit unbelievable, because from the situation when we first encountered them, they seemed to have come prepared.”

Although Lyon was suspicious, he had asked Phylling several times, and she had given the same account every time, leaving him with no alternative.

Previously, Suise had focused all his attention on Eulica and didn’t care about these two, so their true purpose remained unknown.

“Now that you are all here, she definitely won’t dare to tell a lie. I will go and ask again,” Lyon said as he was about to step forward. But before he could reach Phylling, Suise had already moved toward her first.

Suise’s face was grim, and without uttering a word, he sent a violent surge of spiritual power directly into Phylling’s mind before her terrified gaze.

The next moment, Phylling’s expression became vacant.

“What is your name?” Suise asked.

“Phylling. Celanture,” Phylling replied tonelessly, her eyes lifeless, as if she had lost all sense of self.

“Why did you and Henry come here?”

Through the question-and-answer, Phylling made no attempt to hide anything and dully revealed everything she knew.

As she said, part of the reason she and Henry came to Pat Manor was indeed because they sensed energy fluctuations. But the unusual occurrence at Pat Manor was not something they discovered on their own; it was another person who told them about it.

In other words, their arrival was also somewhat coerced.

And the name of this instigator was: Jin.
