Beyond Chaos – A DiceRPG

“Oh my, oh my, who are these cute children?” Adam called, side eyeing the three.

The three side eyed him in return, their pale faces, their horns, their silver scales, and their silver eyes narrowed towards him.

“If they’re this cute, they must be the children of my wife, and if they have such adorable ears, they must be the children of this father before them?”

“You are so silly, daddy,” Konarot said.

“So silly,” Kirot agreed.

Karot turned to look to his mother, who smiled at him, and the boy smiled in return, glancing back to his father. “So silly.”

“Why are you looking at your mother like you need permission to call me silly?”

Karot blinked.

“Alright, come on, since you’re all back, we need to go greet the business,” Adam said, motioning a hand, all the while Afraz slowly turned his head, towards Flame Brand, who smiled innocently towards him.

‘What? What do you mean-,’ Afraz’s eyes began, only for him to lean back in his chair. ‘Ah. Right. They are Iyrmen.’

As Adam escorted the children to greet those in the business, he spotted Vadim and Hakam, who were staring at the triplets.

“They look familiar…” Vadim said, squinting his one good eye.

“Ah, well, they looked like their greatmother, but now they look like their father, don’t you think?” Adam asked.

“Mm,” Vadim replied, not committing to his tone, and deciding against thinking about something so dangerous.

‘Half dragons?’ Hakam thought. ‘What are half dragons doing in the Iyr?’

The triplets made their way to a particular young man, who stared out to them.

“Hello,” Konarot said.

“Hello,” John replied.

Konarot glanced down at Garaeth, Owaen, and Tristaen, waving her hands towards them, causing the boy’s to smile shyly. “Are you okay?”

“Okeh,” Garaeth replied, smiling even wider.

“Good, good. Are you listening to daddy?”

“Daddy,” the boy replied, looking up towards his father, his younger triplet siblings also looking towards their father.

“You are speaking so well now!” Konarot declared, reaching out to brush their hair gently.

‘Konarot, you can’t flirt with them, they’re going to be your cousins soon,’ Adam thought, though he remained behind the trio, forming a shadow over them all.

The eldest triplets then made their way around, greeting all the various members of the business, including a pair of twins.

“Hello,” the two said, as though they were one.

“Hello,” the triplets replied together.

“You seem familiar,” the two said.

Konarot tilted her head, and Kirot narrowed her eyes, and Karot glanced aside, blinking, then looked up towards the twins.

“You are Karot?” the two said, pointing down to the child, for they only knew one child who held such a meekness within his eyes.

Karot smiled.

“I see,” the two said, and as they took in the sight of the triplets, they made sure to remind their hearts that these children were those they had to care for.

In the afternoon, a scream broke the silence.

“Kaka!” came the cry, as the girl darted forward.

“Virot!” Jirot gasped, placing down her cup, hopping to her feet, rushing to her younger sister, until the two almost slammed together, but she stopped, holding out her arms for her sister who almost tackled her.

“Kaka! Kaka is back!” Virot cried aloud, almost screaming.

“I am back!” Jirot replied, and for a moment her heart swelled, and tears threatened to take her eyes. “Did you miss me?”

“Kaka! I missed kaka so much!”

Jirot sniffled, and hugged her sister tight, planting firm kisses all over the girl’s face. “What a silly kaka I am, leaving my cute sister to miss me so much!”

Vonda turned towards her husband, who sniffled, for how could his daughter be as foolish as he?

Ah.

Right.

She was his daughter.

“Damrot,” little Jarot called, hugging the boy tight, kissing his cheek. “You missed me?”

“Papa…” Damrot hugged Jarot back, and the two held one another close.

“Look! Mummy and daddy are back too!” Jirot declared, pointing towards their parents.

“Mummy!” Virot called, almost squealing, and within a moment, she was within her mother’s arms.

“You must hug daddy too, you silly girl,” Jirot said, pointing towards their father.

“Daddy!” Virot called.

“Vibaby!” Adam called, hugging his daughter tight, feeling her heaviness within his arms, planting firm kisses all over her cheek and neck, until he had to surrender her back to her mother.

“You have grown,” Jurot almost accused.

Damrot flushed guiltily as his father ruffled his hair, and then he was within his mother’s arms, and the boy buried his head against her neck as the woman held him. “Mummy…”

“Dambaby…” Adam called, pausing a moment. “Damababy? Damrot! My boy! You punk! How can you not greet your father?”

Damrot smiled, and as he caught his papo’s eyes, he returned back to his mother’s neck, hiding away from the half elf.

”How can you do this to me?” Adam sniffled, then glanced aside to his grandaunt, though Jirot was in the middle of hugging her.

“Virot did not trouble you?” Jirot half asked Zirot, side eyeing the woman, holding a guilty expression upon her face.

“Your sister… behaved more like your brother than you.” Zirot smiled.

“Of coas!” Jirot replied, as though it were obvious, and the echo followed. “My sister is so tender and sweet, of coas.”

“Of coas,” the other children echoed.

“Of course,” Zirot said, and the children all echoed the words after her. “I missed you too, Jirot, Jarot.”

“Nano, we missed you too!” Jirot held her grandmother’s neck tightly.

“You will choke me!” Zirot gasped.

“Nano, you are too tough to choke!”

“You are so strong now!” Zirot replied, nuzzling into the girl’s cheek, and the girl smirked, flushing slightly. “You too, my Jarot, you are so much like your greatfather now.”

Jarot flushed, and as Zirot raised her brow, the boy rolled up his sleeve and revealed his biceps, causing the woman to hum and haw with such awe.

‘Why are my kids so cute?’ Adam thought.

Ah.

Right.

They’re my kids.

“Ah!” Jirot gasped, turning to her sister. “Virot! Come!”

“Kaka!” Virot replied, following after her sister.

He was short, bald, his eyes a deep blue. The old man was well muscled, his physique showing even through his scale cuirass, and he wore gleaming greatsword of sparkling silver. As his eyes fell upon a particular child, whose amber eyes beamed so proudly, his eyes then fell to the girl beside, who possessed her sister’s ears.

“This is babo Afraz,” Jirot said. “Babo Afraz, this is my little sister, Virot, who is so sweet.”

“She is sweet?” Afraz replied, as the girl eyed up his forehead, tilting her head to her sister.

“I say it, so it must be true,” Jirot said, her face neutral, fighting her audacity.

“I see.”

“Not babo?”

“Silly girl, you are not listening to kaka?”

“Kaka…”

“This is babo Afraz.”

“Babo Afaz,” Virot accused.

“You see? My sister, she is a genius.” Jirot hugged her sister and kissed her cheek, much to the girl’s delight.

“Ah, she is your sister, of course,” Afraz said.

“Of coas!” came the echo.

The boy glared at the world, but after a moment, blinking away the sleepiness, he saw green and amber. As he jolted, the boy smiled, reaching out a hand, and little Jarot held it.

“Xarot!”

“Papa!” the boy cried aloud, squealing, and the two hugged, exchanging kisses, until Jirot appeared to smother him in affection too.

“This is Xarot, and he is more troublesome than I.”

Afraz raised his brow.

“A joke, babo, a joke.”

“Xarot!” called a fool.

Xarot gasped, seeing his father, then his mother, and the boy squealed with such delight.

Meanwhile, the girl glared up towards her father, but remained within her mother’s arms.

“Monarot, I, too, have returned,” Jurot said.

Monarot turned her head, staring up at her mother.

Jurot then loomed over another, and the tiny form stared up at him. The two exchanged glares. Then she turned her head, and spotted a familiar face. The girl’s eyes widened with recognition and she smiled.

“You did not forget me?” Pam called, leaning in to nuzzle her nose, and the girl reached out for her mother’s face.

“Papo, kako, I will not forgive you if you monopolise my kakas,” Jirot warned.

“I think Pamarot is hungry,” Pam said.

“Okay,” Jirot surrendered.

“You have given up so quickly?” Afraz accused.

“How I can defeat Pamarot?” Jirot shrugged her shoulders.

“So even the great Jirot can be defeated?”

“I have never defeated my kakas,” the girl said, letting out a soft sigh.

“If you monopolise my nieces, I will cause trouble,” Lanarot warned.

“I must feed Pamarot,” Pam said.

“I will feed her!” Lanarot said, reaching out to the girl, but she found a pair of familiar, rough hands upon hers. “Huh?”

“For the sake of my daughter, even if I must face you…” Jurot began.

“You dare?” Lanarot gasped. “Courting death!”

Afraz turned to Gangak. “The Iyr is… different than what I expected.”

“They’re my grandson’s siblings.”

“Ah. Of course.”

“Of coas!”
