Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 2085 Heavens Faith Sect (3)

Still… Even though his current situation could be considered far from optimal, it wasnʼt that bad, as he had already learnt about where the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect was located and its layout through the memories of the unwilling informant whose soul would have already crumbled in front of him without his rapid response in laying down a formation to delay the inevitable.

Just following the memories, it would be simple enough for him to reach the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect within a few minutes using the Dao of Space, though to be cautious and avoid attracting the attention of the heavenly god within the main sect, he would likely need to avoid making any kind of spatial disturbances close to the main sect and had to travel a bit on foot. Not feeling entirely confident that he would be capable of hiding himself while flying with the power of this heavenly god. Especially so with how this heavenly god seemingly towered above the main sect itself and might be capable of spotting anything approaching the sect from the air.

But before he left the branch sect, to ensure that someone wouldnʼt end up disturbing the formation he had laid out to ensure the soul in front of him didnʼt end up collapsing, he activated the protective formation around the small cultivation chamber. Raising it to its highest possible level before leaving.

The reason being that he had discovered through the memories of the collapsing soul that he was supposed to attend a regular meeting on the future operations of the branch in less than an hour. A meeting that was generally held once every thousand years and he just happened to have picked the worst potential time to make a move on this fellow. Truly, what great luck he was having… The only positive to the entire situation was the fact that the others might think he was busy or encountered some problem during cultivation and couldnʼt arrive immediately because of the formations being raised up to the highest possible level.

Although this might not work for long, it should at least last longer than the formation that kept the soul alive would. Meaning he wouldnʼt have to worry about the soul collapsing faster than he had originally anticipated.

Of course, to make sure he wasnʼt caught off guard by the other senior members of the Heavens Faith Sect within the branch sect, he still decided to leave behind a sliver of his divine sense to keep an eye on the situation. Capable of alerting him the second something happened to the formation keeping the soul alive. Only after this did he silently slip out of the branch sect undetected before using the Dao of Space to move towards the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect. Taking only a few minutes before landing somewhere desolate without anyone around a short distance away from the main sect before continuing the rest of the way on foot.

To ensure that he wouldnʼt draw any unwanted attention, he had already disguised himself as a member of the Heavens Faith Sect carrying the unique rank of an awaiting bestowal disciple, a rank of disciple that could be considered one of the most common kind of disciples within the Heavens Faith Sect. Ranging from the Dao Seed Realm all the way down to the Nascent Soul Realm. The rank itself not reflecting strength, but instead a kind of disciple that hadnʼt yet received the blessing of the heavenly god and was waiting for this blessing.

The blessing in question being when part of the light shrouding the heavenly god split off an attached itself to the disciple, after which they would become a holy light disciple, an existence who would be viewed as the true core of the Heavens Faith Sect and would have the ability to aim for the Celestial Immortal Realm in the future.

It wasnʼt that Xuan Hao didnʼt want to disguise himself as this kind of disciple, but the problem was that he not only couldnʼt replicate the unique presence of the holy light that attached itself to these higher ranking disciple, but also the fact that these kinds of core members of the sect would generally be known and the likelihood of an unknown holy light disciple was unlikely.

Although this would restrict his movement within the Heavens Faith Sect to some extent, he should still be able to enter the sect through this disguise. Having through the memories of the senior member from the branch sect already realized that the formation guarding the main sect was a dead formation without any formation spirit. Meaning it wasnʼt that difficult for him to sneak through it using the identity plaque of the senior member he had left to slowly perish within the branch sect.

His presence might be different and would be spotted under normal circumstances, but with his current mastery of the Dao of Formations, he was confident that he would be able to fool the guardian formation.

Something that was soon enough put to the test, as he passed through what could be considered the outer perimeter of the Heavens Faith Sect, an area spanning over a thousand kilometers around the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect that was guarded by the first layer of the guardian formation. Feeling as the terrifying power of the formation descended upon him before it began systematically analyzing the identity plaque in his possession and comparing the soul presence stored within it to his.

Normally, this would have been the moment the guardian formation noticed something was wrong but relying on his mastery of the Dao of Formations, Xuan Hao subtly manipulated a tiny section of the guardian formation and shifted the power that should have been focused on analyzing his soul presence back towards the identity plaque. Essentially, causing the guardian formation to compare the soul presence within the identity plaque against the soul presence within the identity plaque.

Unsurprisingly, the guardian formation didnʼt find any problems and the terrifying power that had just descended left just as abruptly as it had arrived. Allowing Xuan Hao to continue forward towards the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect in the distance, something that caused the person in question to let out a silent sigh of relief before he continued his journey towards the Heavens Faith Sect. Part of him having already been prepared for a situation where he failed and ended up having to face off against the guardian formation of the Heavens Faith Sect and inevitably also drew the attention of the heavenly god whose towering figure shrouded in a layer of light had already become visible in the distance.

Still, though relieved that he had managed to fool the guardian formation, he still didnʼt have much time left as he hurried towards the main sect in the distance. Making sure his speed wasnʼt too fast, as moving too fast might draw unwanted attention from other disciples and members of the Heavens Faith Sect who had started to appear throughout the outer perimeter of the main sect.

Most of these members of the sect were of a similar rank to him, but there were also a few individuals at the Celestial Immortal Realm moving together with some of these lower ranked members of the sect.

At the very least, him moving towards the sect on his own wasnʼt seen as odd or out of place, as there were others rushing towards the sect like he was, either coming from one of the resource gathering locations within the outer perimeter where resources gathered from the countless subordinate forces below the Heavens Faith Sect were being teleported to or returning from one of the other branch sects run directly by the Heavens Faith Sect.

Given that his knowledge of the Heavens Faith Sect had already reached a point where he knew more than most of these other disciples of a similar rank as the one he had disguised himself as, it wasnʼt difficult for him to blend in and rapidly reach the gate of the Heavens Faith Sect without drawing any unwanted attention in the process. Slipping through what could be considered the second layer of the guardian formation without any issues by imitating the same method as earlier. Arriving within the very heart of the Heavens Faith Sect with not a single member of the sect realizing they had been infiltrated and even their god silently watching from above in a state of deep meditation unaware.

Well… Almost everyone could be considered unaware, as the soul he had trapped and forcibly kept alive back at the branch sect was aware that the sect had already been quietly infiltrated by him and the fact that he had already read through his memories.

Unfortunately for him, there was nothing he could do about the situation, as Xuan Hao had long since made sure the other party wouldnʼt even be able to blow up his own soul and was only capable of thinking quietly on his own while his soul slowly crumbled.
