Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1687 Problem of the Strange Tree Root (3)

”That should be enough to draw attention away from the sect…” Muttering this to himself as he threw the tree root onto the ground in an area located not too far away from the core of the Frozen Wastelands, Xuan Hao didnʼt dare linger any longer than necessary as he directly used a long distance teleportation technique to leave the Frozen Wastelands without leaving any traces of his presence behind for others to trace. Even making sure to spend a bit longer than normal to ensure that there werenʼt any spatial abnormalities for others to pick up on while he was leaving.

In the end, everything had worked out the way he wanted it to, as he dragged the wiggling tree root through the fallen Sky Empire and made it appear like it had been in the past according to when his two disciples had first discovered it… And of course, at the end, he had ended up dragging it all the way to the Onyx Empire where the Blue Sea Empire was stationed. Ensuring that both the cultivators from the Blue Sea Empire and the demonic cultivators from the Frozen Wastelands had an opportunity to see the wiggling tree root and experience the benefits observing it brought to them.

This way, he could be certain that news about the strange wiggling tree root would end up spreading throughout the Northern Central Region and potentially even beyond that.

As for how he had been able to allow the strange tree root to retain its former abilities that stemmed from the spherical crystal… That was simply due to some lingering effects of the spherical crystal still being present on the tree root itself. Allowing those wandering cultivators and Blue Sea Empire cultivators to experience an improvement in their comprehension speed together with the demonic cultivators.

The effect itself was of course worse than the spherical crystal itself, but it was more than enough to convince the few cultivators and demonic cultivators.

To make sure that everything looked legit, he had also made sure to disguise himself as someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm trying to seize the wiggling tree root, something rather simple to accomplish with his current cultivation realm. Especially considering that the strongest person he encountered along the way had only reached the Dao Seed Realm or True Demon Realm.

The clash that had taken place at the end was also something he himself had come up with and was essentially just him launching a delayed attack at himself to give off the idea that two Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators were clashing with each other trying to take the strange wiggling tree root.

At the end, the visible Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator had escaped into the Frozen Wastelands where those cultivators and demonic cultivators could still feel them clashing with each other, a perfect distraction that would take attention away from the Star Shattering Sect and make it seem like the spherical crystal had entered the Frozen Wastelands to the owner of the strange wiggling tree root.

Everything worked out perfectly and after reaching a location close to the core of the Frozen Wasteland, he had been able to smoothly take his leave without encountering any Demon King Realm demonic cultivators or Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators from the Blue Sea Empire.

Of course, it wasnʼt exactly a coincidence that he had managed to avoid any of these powerful figures but had been because he had used a precisely calculated path where he would be able to reasonably avoid them without arousing any suspension.

As for leaving the strange wiggling tree root at the edge of the core of the Frozen Wasteland… That was also part of his diversion tactic, as he had made it very clear that something had been dug out of the strange tree root.

Leaving it next to the core part of the Frozen Wastelands left it up to the imagination where the thing that had clearly been dug out of the strange wiggling root had ended up, though most of it pointed towards some powerful figure inside the Frozen Wastelands seizing it.

With this all done, Xuan Hao had perfectly managed to frame the demonic cultivators and avoided any association with the Star Shattering Sect.

In this way, he not only hoped that the Star Shattering Sect would avoid a potential attack but also felt hopeful that he might be able to use the opportunity to get a better picture of the strength of the Frozen Wastelands and what gave it the confidence to face off against so many major powers at the same time.

After all, even though it had mobilized more than enough Demon King Realm demonic cultivators to deal with the Early Stage Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators mobilized by the different major powers so far and even seemed to be winning, it was nothing short of an illusion, as the true power behind these major powers remained inactive so far.

Clearly, even though the battle seemed one-sided and the demonic cultivators looked like they were winning, they hadnʼt yet touched upon the true interests of these major powers and had mostly been conquering the smaller subordinate powers that existed between themselves and the Frozen Wastelands.

Only when they reached the true borders of these major powers would the true power behind these major powers start to move, as they were clearly unwilling to do so before that happened.

Not because they feared the demonic cultivators, but instead because they were worried about others taking advantage of them and attacking them from behind while they were busy dealing with the demonic cultivators.

Instead of that, it seemed far more logical in their eyes to wait for the demonic cultivators to reach their borders before making a move, as at that time, the demonic cultivators would also have reached their neighborsʼ borders. Making it difficult for them to take advantage of the situation.

Of course, if one could delay for a bit longer, there was still a chance to take advantage of the situation, thus causing the current situation where the demonic cultivators were slowly pushing their way towards the borders of these major powers.
