Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1273  Close Friends

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As Qing Yi engaged in battle with both Chu Yang and Chun Hua at the same time, it didnʼt take long before she was forced to go on the defensive. Having clearly underestimated the strength of these two who spent all of their time fighting with each other. Especially Chu Yang, who somehow managed to display more strength than Chun Hua who had reached the Second Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

However, she was soon forced to give up trying to fight both of them at the same time and instead resumed a one versus one battle with Chu Yang while leaving Chun Hua on the side for later. Finally giving her the opportunity to properly fight back.

Even then, Chu Yang was far from a simple opponent, as even with the disparity in their cultivation realms, he still managed to use his superior combat knowledge and abilities to hold on against her. Only ended up fully suppressed when she used the flames of her domain together with her divine physique to forcibly restrain.

Of course, considering it wasnʼt a real life and death battle, she decided against doing that, as there wouldnʼt be much for either of them to gain from her doing something like that. Not to mention, the fight between the two of them was also useful for her, as it gave her a chance to better familiarize herself with her strength after she had reached the Domain Lord Realm.

After all, there was only so much one could learn from sitting around pondering about things by oneself. Learning from firsthand experience was far more useful.

”My turn!”

Following the battle between her and Chu Yang coming to an end over the next few hours, Chun Hua, who had been sitting on the side waiting, didnʼt waste a single second as she jumped forward.

”…”

Much to the displeasure of Qing Yi who didnʼt get any time to rest before she was faced with the attacks of Chun Hua… And to make things worse, Chun Hua switched their fighting environment to some kind of prehistorical forest with trees towering more than a thousand meters into the sky. Giving her a clear advantage as she was impossible to sense even through the use of a domain.

All of it resulting in a different kind of battle where Qing Yi was mostly on the defensive while trying to predict where Chun Hua would attack from.

As for burning down the towering ancient trees… She had tried doing so but found out that burning them down was close to impossible and took her more than five minutes to burn down a single one of the towering trees.

In the end, the battle with Chun Hua dragged on for far longer than the one with Chu Yang and neither of them ended up being victories. Instead choosing to end the battle after it had gone on for a day.

And… With the end of the battle, Qing Yi didnʼt waste a single second as she rushed back to her room to study alchemy before Chu Yang could drag her into another sparring battle. Understanding very well how the mind of this junior brother of hers worked.

…

At the same time that the practice battles between the three came to an end with Qing Yi escaping back to her room, Xuan Hao watched with anticipation as Bai Ning managed to successfully stabilize his cultivation base at the Third Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm.

”Congratulations on your breakthrough Senior Bai!”

”””Congratulations!”””

Not only him, but it seemed like the group of blacksmithing elders and disciples gathered outside also noticed that his disciple had finished stabilizing his cultivation base as they all happily congratulated him.

”Hm? So many people are gathered… Thank you everyone, there is no need for all of you to stand around like this.” Opening his eyes to the large number of people all staring at him, Bai Ning could not help frowning slightly as muttered the first part barely loud enough for Xuan Hao to hear before thanking the group.

”No worries Senior Bai, we just wanted to congratulate you on your breakthrough.”

”I also wanted to know when you will hold another lecture for the new disciples of the Blacksmith Hall.”

”Me too! I want to know about that as well.”

”Same! But I also want to know if elders can join in as well?”ʼ

Not showing the slightest bit of shame as they said this, the group of disciples and elders soon showed their true motives, as all of them had been waiting around to ask him about the next lecture he was going to do on blacksmithing.

After all, given him being the only Master Blacksmith inside the Star Shattering Sect outside of Yi Min, everyone from the blacksmithing hall, be it elders or disciples, would gain a lot whenever he held a lecture or taught them in passing.

”This…”

Hearing what these elders and disciples said, Bai Ning could not help freezing on the spot before turning to look towards his master for help.

However, when he needed him the most, his master seemed to have disappeared into thin air like he had never been there in the first place.

”You can teach these eager disciples and elders a bit. After that, I will teach you in the Dao of Blacksmithing as promised.”

Just as he was about to refuse the group of elders and disciples to go and search for his master who had promised to teach him the Dao of Blacksmithing after he broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm, he was shocked to suddenly hear his masterʼs voice in his ears.

Not just that, but his master actually wanted him to teach these elders and disciples before he would teach him!

Master is taking advantage of me to teach the disciples and elders of the sect… But… How come this feel so familiar to Elder Song asking me to teach them in return for spiritual metal…?

Thinking this to himself as he tried to locate his master to no avail, Bai Ning could only reluctantly agree with the group of disciples and elders from the Blacksmithing Hall.

Although he felt a bit unwilling to go along with what his master said, he ultimately didnʼt plan to give up the opportunity of learning the Dao of Blacksmithing from his master. After all, his master was far superior to him when it came to blacksmithing in his head… And even if he did end up wasting a few days on things not related to blacksmithing, his masterʼs teachings would more than make up for it.

Thinking about it, there was even a chance that he would catch a glimpse of the Grandmaster Realm above the Master Realm with his masterʼs help.

”Everyone, letʼs go to the Sea of a Thousand Furnaces, I will be talking about blacksmithing outside my forge for everyone willing to come and listen!”

With this in mind, Bai Ning didnʼt waste any time as he rushed back towards his forge to finish teaching the elders and disciples of the Blacksmithing Hall as fast as possible so he could seek out his master to hold up the promise of teaching him the Dao of Blacksmithing.

At the same time, in the back of his head, he felt a bit worried that his master might end up finding something different for him to do like he had done just now. Even then, that would be for the future, and he had no plans of worrying about it at the moment…

Unknown to Bai Ning at the moment, Xuan Hao was indeed thinking about making him do something after he finished teaching the group of elders and disciples from the Blacksmithing Hall.

”Itʼs good that he gets to interact a bit more with the disciples and elders of the sect this way. Although, I should probably also get him to interact with Chun Hua and the others a bit. After all, Chun Hua has already been around for close to a year, but the interactions between the two of them can be counted on a single hand.

Hm… Thinking about, the only one he is close to so to speak is Mui, but that is mostly because the little keeps breaking into his forge to steal his spiritual metals for her strange metal ball creations…”

The only difference was that it was just having him interact with his fellow disciples and get to know them more.

Of course, excluding Mui, whom he had managed to get to know quite well since she had become his masterʼs fourth disciple, as she wasnʼt one to easily back down from her close to weekly raids of his forge.

Whether he liked this close bond that had formed between the two of them was an entirely different matter that only Bai Ning himself knew about. Although, his joyful cries whenever some of his precious spiritual metals went missing spoke of their close friendship.
