Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 349 - Sect Mission Complete! Pure Heart Spiritual Grass Found!

Watching as Huang Yongyu made his way back towards the shore of the Pure Heart Island, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both turned around and made their way back in the direction they had just come from.

Following the sound of battle, both of them soon reached the battlefield that they had created between the people on the Ghost Howl Sectʼs side and the blue spiders.

”Looks like the Ghost Howl Sect is winning…”

Looking over the battlefield heavily in favour of the Ghost Howl Sect given the fact that they had way more experts at the Core Formation Realm compared to the three on the side of the blue spiders, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both knew that they had to hurry and sneak past them before the battle ended.

After all, the last thing they wanted at the moment, was for them to get discovered by the Core Formation Experts on the Ghost Howl Sectʼs side just after they caused them to fight so many blue spiders for no reason and that was not to mention the losses on the side of the Ghost Howl Sect!

Even if they had a clear advantage against the blue spider demon beasts. The sheer ferocity and strength of the blue spiders overwhelmed some of the weaker and less experienced disciples of the Ghost How Sect. Inevitably causing quite a few casualties on the side of the Ghost Howl Sect…

”Letʼs go…”

Looking over the bloody battlefield one last time from behind the thick foliage of the rainbow crown forest, Chu Yang grabbed a hold of Qing Yi and dragged her along with him before long, both of them had managed to make their way past the chaotic battlefield by moving a few dozen meters away from the edges of the battlefield to avoid both the Ghost Howl Sect and the blue spiders at the same time.

This was mainly possible because both sides of the fight were occupied with each other instead of focusing on anyone that might be sneaking past them. All but one person who enjoyed the comfort of being guarded by two Core Formation Realm Experts…

”Who- The person who threw the damned corpse?!”

Keeping an eye on the battlefield and feeling his anger rise every time he watched a blue spider successfully break through the defences line compromised by disciples of the Ghost Howl Sect and kill a few of them, he manged to barely spot two familiar figures moving along the edges of the battlefield, as they tried to make their presence invisible to the two sides fighting.

”You! Go after those two and get them for me! They are the ones who caused this mess in the first place!”

”But… Young master, your safety-”

”No need to worry, I donʼt need both of you to keep me safe! One is more than enough and I can still fight myself if it comes down to it!”

Refusing to listen to the request of one of the Core Formation Experts guarding him from the ferocious blue spiders, the young master of the Ghost Howl Sect directly ordered him to go after Qing Yi and Chu Yang sneaking along the edges of the battlefield.

”…Yes, young master…”

Knowing he had no way to refuse his young mater, the Core Formation Expert reluctantly nodded his head before charging towards Chu Yang and Qing Yi.

Having to deal with blue spiders constantly attacking him and slowing him down along the way.

By the time he reached the edges of the battlefield, Qing Yi and Chu Yang were already gone…

”…”

Looking back towards the direction of his young master, the Core Formation Expert let out an exhausted sigh inside his mind.

There was no way he could return empty handed without having caught those two, his young master would definitely get the great elder to punish him… All he could do now, was to chase after them into the rainbow crown forest!

Glancing back towards the battlefield one last time before chasing after Chu Yang and Qing Yi, he just barely managed to catch the sight of the great elder in question launching a terrifying fist attack forward and pierce through the body of the giant blue spider…

Yep… No way Iʼm returning emptyhanded!

Whoosh~

With this thought passing through his head, the man quickly disappeared in the direction Chu Yang and Qing Yi had run in.

Still barely able to pick up the faint traces they left behind while moving through the rainbow crown forest.

…

Having hurried through the rainbow crown forest, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both found themselves in front of a small hill without any rainbow crown trees on it setting itself apart from the forest that surrounded it on all sides.

”This should be close to the place that Huang Yongyu found the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass… Letʼs split up and search for it”

Looking down on the map where Huang Yongyu had crossed out the location, he had found the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass, Chu Yang and Qing Yi both came to a stop before splitting up to search for the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass.

Chu Yang moving to search in the area around the hill, while Qing Yi made her way up the small hill to get a better view of the surroundings.

After all, no matter how accurate the location on the map was, there was no way Huang Yongyu could note down the precise location on the map, when the hill in front of them was barely visible on it.

”I found it! Itʼs just over there by the large rainbow crown tree!”

The search did not last for long, as Qing Yi spotted the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass the moment, she reached the top of the hill.

”… How is that supposed to help me?” Listening to Qing Yiʼs yelling at him from the top of the small hill, Chu Yang could not help muttering to quietly under his breath as he looked around at the rainbow crown trees all around him.

Just how did Qing Yi expect for him to know what ʼlarge rainbow crown treeʼ she was talking about…?

Thinking this to himself, Chu Yang looked up at Qing Yi standing on top of the small hill before seeing that she was pointing towards a location just beneath the hill.

”Guess the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass is over there…”

Following the directions Qing Yi pointed in, Chu Yang soon arrived in front of the larger than average rainbow crown tree, with the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass growing just beneath it.

The home of the blue spider?

Observing the large rainbow crown tree, Chu Yang quickly noticed a relatively large hole leading into the interior of the tree covered in weird blue spider webs.

Feeling a bit cautious upon seeing the blue spider home, Chu Yang soon remembered that the blue spider had already left before he began lowering his guard.

Swish~

Approaching the Pure Heart Spiritual Grass, Chu Yang didnʼt intend to waste any time. Quickly uprooting the spiritual herb before taking out a small wooden box for storage.

”This should do, the sect mission never mentioned the amount of Pure Heart Spiritual Grass needed… I hope this will be enough…”

Having put away the small wooden box where he had stored the Pure Heart Spiritual Herb, Chu Yang looked back up towards the top of the small hill where Qing Yi had been standing a moment ago. Only to be shocked when the person in question suddenly appeared directly in front of him with a panicked look on her face.

”Chu Yang! We have to run!”

Before Chu Yang could ask about anything, he was suddenly dragged off by Qing Yi as both of them soon began running at top speed in a random direction.

”What in the world happened!? Why are we suddenly running like this?” Not understanding why Qing Yi had suddenly dragged him to run away, Chu Yang desperately tried to understand the current situation as he asked her in a bewildered voice.

”Someone from the Ghost Howl Sect is after us! Someone in the Core Formation Realm!” Seeing Chu Yangʼs bewildered expression, Qing Yi quickly explained what she had seen just a moment ago from the top of the hill.

”Ghost Howl Sect!? Core Formation Realm!? Someone managed to spot us…”𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Realizing the reason for someone to be chasing after them, Chu Yang regretted not taking a longer way around the battlefield… The only problem was that they might get spotted by other demon beasts by doing that and end up drawing unwanted attention towards themselves this way and if they took a path around that was too long, the battle would finish up before they could take a boat towards the Pure Heart City!

At that point in time, the Ghost Howl Sect would likely set up people to search anyone trying to make their way off Pure Heart Island…

”Yes! And they somehow tracked us all the way here and are getting closer! The only advantage we have at the moment is the fact that the person chasing us donʼt seem to have found us yet and is still only tracking our movements… If not, he would likely already have caught up to us by now…”

Nodding her head in agreement to what Chu Yang said, Qing Yi herself also began to realize the danger of their current situation.

No matter what, they had to escape the Core Formation Expert from the Ghost Howl Sect! Who knows, he might even ignore their identity and just kill them if they were unlucky to have encountered someone who either didnʼt believe them or believed that the Flying Sword Sect would never find out about what happened…
