”Hah…” As Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast continued to clash with each other, Xuan Hao slowly felt the exhaustion of fighting a prolonged fight. For him to win, he would need to deal with it quickly and not end up stuck in his current situation.

After all, as things were now, he would never be able to kill the winged lion demon beast even if he continued to fight it for another three days and three nights!

Its physical body was simply too strong, and its qi reserves seemingly had no end to them, Xuan Hao even felt that he would be the one loosing if he tried to fight a prolonged fight with the winged lion demon beast…

With all this in mind, Xuan Hao began to formulate a plan to deal with the winged lion demon beast!

Whoosh!

Boom!

Blocking another attack from the winged lion demon beast that came for him the moment his attention drifted from the battle, Xuan Hao was flung backwards by the force of the attack as he crashed into the ground a few hundred meters away.

Just before hitting the ground, Xuan Hao noticed the weird clouds that had encircled both him and the winged lion demon beast move backwards to avoid him.

”Hm? Maybe I can use the weird clouds to my advantage…”

Looking at the movement of the weird clouds and back at the winged lion demon beast gathering the power of its wind domain in both its large wings!

”Itʼs going to try a quick attack again… I can use this!”

Recognizing the attack that the winged lion demon beast was about to use, Xuan Haoʼs eyes shone for a brief moment as his mind worked overtime to come up with a plan to deal with the winged lion demon beast.

Whoosh!

Setting his plan into action, Xuan Hao used his greatest speed possible to ascended upwards towards the weird clouds covering the sky above.

ROAR!

Flap~

The winged lion demon beast not far behind as it flapped both of its huge wings before chasing after with a speed far exceeding that of Xuan Hao, it was after all a demon beast with wings! Even Xuan Hao could not compare to it when it came to flying speed….

Swish~

Reaching the weird clouds sealing off the Main Peak from the outside world, Xuan Hao went through it like he had done in the past. Directly appearing in the air above the Main Peak itself.

”Ah!” Letting out a low scream of pain as the chaotic qi began rapidly invading his body like it had done in the past on his way up the Main Peak, Xuan Hao quickly expelled the chaotic qi that managed to enter his body with the combined strength of his sword domain and ice domain.

However, just remaining floating in the air above the Main Peak was an enormous drain on his strength.

Even with his current strength, Xuan Hao did not think he could last more than an hour or two fighting in his current condition. Having to keep the chaotic qi at bay was simply too draining on both his domains...

Whoosh!

Watching as the winged lion demon beast followed closely after him through the weird clouds before coming to a stop as it tried to keep the chaotic qi out of its body.

Roar!

The winged lion demon beast roared angrily towards Xuan Hao before flapping its wings and diving down towards the weird clouds-

Bang~

Only to collide with them and bounce back a few meters…

The weird clouds had clearly realized that the winged lion demon beast and Xuan Hao were a threat and didnʼt plan to let them inside again in case they caused even more damage than they already had…

”How interesting… It does indeed have some kind of awareness…”

Smiling happily? upon seeing the winged lion demon beast being shut out from what was most likely its home, Xuan Hao didnʼt wait around as his ice domain fully erupted around him before descending down on the winged lion demon beast!

ROAR!

Feeling its movements slow down as it had to deal with both the ice domain of Xuan Hao and the chaotic qi trying to enter its body and ravage its meridians and dantian, the winged lion demon beast became enraged as its wind domain erupted violently. Forming a small-scale hurricane with itself at the centre.

”Looks like it is indeed harder for the winged lion to deal with the chaotic qi…” Looking at how much the winged lion demon beast was struggling with keeping the chaotic qi out of its body, Xuan Hao could not help feeling thankful that his idea had been correct.

Earlier, his plan had been to lure the winged lion demon beast out of the Main Peak and use the chaotic qi to weaken the winged lion. Thinking that it would have to deal with way more chaotic qi trying to invade its body compared to him. Reason being that its body was many times larger than his own.

Seeing this work and how the winged lion demon beast was now trying to leave the space above the Main peak, Xuan Hao had no plan to let it escape so easily! This might be his only chance to kill the winged lion demon beast now that it had weakened due to the chaotic qi constantly trying to invade its body!

Whoosh~

Thinking about this, Xuan Hao stopped using his ice domain to slow down the movement of the winged lion demon beast after seeing its futile efforts to go through the weird clouds.

Instead switching to using his ice domain to keep the chaotic qi at bay for the moment, while using his sword domain to fight the winged demon beast!

This was by far the largest advantage Xuan Hao had in his fight against the winged demon beast in the air above the Main Peak.

He could dedicate one of his domains to keeping the chaotic qi at bay and the other to fighting, while the winged lion demon beast was forced to use its wind domain both to fight and keep the chaotic qi from invading its body!

Whoosh~

”Haha, think I will let you leave so easily?”

Seeing the winged lion demon beast give up on reaching the Main Peak through the weird clouds and instead try to escape down towards the ground where the chaotic qi was not present, Xuan Hao laughed disdainfully.

The winged lion demon beast clearly did not think he could stop it!

Swish!

Before the winged lion demon beast managed to even move a few meters away from its current location, a sea of pure silver swords manifested all around it as Xuan Haoʼs sword domain engulfed the winged lion demon beast and the hurricane formed by its wind domain.

BOOM!

The two domains violently clashed against each other with neither letting the other gain any advantage on the other… But this was more than enough for Xuan Hao as he managed to keep the winged lion demon beast from escaping.

Roar!

The winged lion demon beast also realized what was happening as it began panicking. Violently trying its best to break free from Xuan Haoʼs sword domain to no avail.

The moment it tried to leave, it would leave an opening for Xuan Hao to attack through and even with its strong physical body, a small wound would allow the chaotic qi to easily enter its body and destroy it from the inside!

The winged lion demon beast already realized its own helpless situation as it grew more and more desperate with each passing moment. Feeling its strength slowly weakening due to Xuan Haoʼs sword domain and the chaotic qi both trying to break through its wind domain at the same time.

…

Time slowly passed and after half an hour of fighting with the wind domain of the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao felt a change occur.

Suddenly feeling a change in the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao prepared himself for a possible last-ditch effort in the form of an all our attack from the winged lion demon beast.

”Hm?”

The winged lion demon beast suddenly came to a complete stop as it spat out a drop of pure red blood towards Xuan Hao.

”You want to establish a blood pact…?”

Looking at the drop of pure red blood that came to a stop floating a few centimeters in front of him, Xuan Hao immediately understood the intentions of the winged lion demon beast.

It didnʼt want to die, so it hoped that Xuan Hao would establish a blood pact with it and allow it to live…

A blood pact was something Xuan Hao learned about when looking into the Beast Tamers of the Flying Sword Sect.

From what he knew, the blood pact was a contract established between a demon beast and a human.

The contract itself was a master-servant kind of contract where the demon beast gave up a part of its essence blood infused with a part of its soul.

Doing something like this was out of the ordinary and Xuan Hao had never heard about anyone in the Flying Sword Sect establishing this sort of contract before, though he felt like there was some other reason for that…

With the essence blood, Xuan Hao could easily kill the winged lion demon beast by destroying the soul infused essence blood!

The winged lion demon beast had clearly not seen a way out of its current situation and hoped that it would at least gain a chance to live if it gave up its essence blood and followed Xuan Hao…

Given that Xuan Hao had already displayed his strength and was not someone weak, the winged lion demon beast was not too sad about this fate. After all, it would rather follow some strong who beat it over someone weak!

”I accept!”

Storing away the soul infused essence blood of the winged lion demon beast, Xuan Hao saw no reason to refuse gaining such a strong demon beast.

With it, Xuan Hao could more easily leave the Flying Sword Sect for the alchemy competition in the future.

Leaving behind the winged lion demon beast to defend the sect would be more than enough to cause even Domain Lords in the later stages to think twice before doing anything to the Flying Sword Sect!

Whoosh!

Having finished the fight, Xuan Hao was not too hurried in checking out his quest and instead made his way back through the weird clouds back down to the Main Peak.

After he accepted the soul infused blood essence of the winged lion, they suddenly allowed both of them to enter again. Almost like the gathering of weird clouds were aware of what was happening between both of them… The clouds circling the Main Peak were most definitely weird…

Thinking this, Xuan Hao and the winged lion demon beast both began recovering from their fight in the now devastated opening in the lush forest of the Main Peak.
