Chapter 1530: Chapter 43: Shen Yuyan: Luna, Let’s Reintroduce Ourselves_4

”Good morning, Yanyan.”

”Morning, Qingqing.” Shen Yuyan slowed down, stopped, and casually picked up a towel to wipe the sweat from her face. ”Want to work out for a bit? I’m done.”

Xu Qing yawned. ”No way, I still have to change clothes and shower, too much hassle. I’ll just eat less at lunch.”

”Haha, I find that hard to believe. I heard from Liyuan that you have a dedicated snack box at your desk that gets restocked daily.”

Xu Qing’s face instantly turned red, and she stubbornly said, ”Those are all gifts from others!”

They teased each other for a while, then had breakfast together.

Shen Yuyan took a meticulous hot shower, fragrant and refreshing, then went into her room to get dressed.

Today was extremely important for her.

She would be joining Rongliu Investment as Tang Song’s special assistant.

Youjie Housekeeping was a mess that would take time to fully disentangle from.

But she knew what mattered most.

Tang Song was currently very ”urgent” about investments, and the project with Yimai Technology had already entered the execution stage. Yesterday, Tang Song added her to the group chat.

She had to dive into work immediately and demonstrate her value.

As for Youjie Housekeeping, she would handle it bit by bit. The main tasks had already been assigned to Qin Meixia.

Then, Shen Yuyan’s gaze flickered.

Yesterday, she went to deliver the Lamborghini, intending to visit his house, but unexpectedly, Tang Song didn’t invite her in.

Her instincts told her there must have been another woman in his house.

Who could it be?

After some silent speculation, Shen Yuyan finished her makeup, carefully selected a professional outfit, and after some final adjustments in front of the mirror, she grabbed her bag and headed out.

...

The crimson DB11 slowly came to a stop outside the Yan Province Financial Center.

”Good luck, Yanyan.” Xu Qing clenched her fist in an encouraging gesture.

After Shen Yuyan returned from Shanghai, she had confessed all about her, Win-win Technology, and Wang Yubo.

Being her best friend of over a decade, Xu Qing was naturally furious and firmly supported her in joining Song to replace Liu Ruyan.

She even wrote a novel where Ren Mingyuan and Wang Yubo were portrayed as villains tormented by Xu Yanqing repeatedly, to vent her dissatisfaction.

”Bye-bye, see you in the evening!”

Shen Yuyan pinched her cheeky cheeks, a confident smile on her lips, elegantly getting out of the car.

Looking up, she laid eyes on the Yan Province Financial Center, the core of Yan City’s CBD.

A gathering of top financial institutions, multinational corporations, and high-tech companies, it’s the heart of the city.

The Procter & Gamble branch she used to work at is located in Building B of this area, making her very familiar with it.

Moreover, she had many friends here: college friends, alumni, and quality connections she made during work through events, clubs, and social circles.

And today, this would be the start of a new Chapter in her life.

Xue, I’m here!

Determination blazed in Shen Yuyan’s eyes.

She stepped forward, merged into the crowd, and walked through the doors of Building A towards the access area.

She had barely taken a few steps when a somewhat familiar voice suddenly came from beside her.

”Isn’t this President Shen? Long time no see.”

Shen Yuyan raised her eyebrows, turned towards the source of the voice, her gaze locking onto a middle-aged man.

”What? Don’t you recognize me?” The man looked at her with a teasing smile, his tone frivolous, his gaze invasive. ”Haha, President Shen is still so beautiful.”

Shen Yuyan looked at him calmly. ”How could I not recognize you? Cai Zihe, Mr. Cai, General Manager of the Equity Investment Department at Tengfu Investment Holdings.”

Her tone was calm and confident, her gaze bright and sharp, with no intention of hiding her scrutiny.

Cai Zihe frowned slightly, uncomfortable under her gaze and aura. ”I didn’t expect President Shen to remember so clearly.”

”Of course, I have a very strong impression of Mr. Cai.” Shen Yuyan lifted her chin. ”Tengfu Investment Holdings is on the 32nd floor of Building A, correct? I’ll be working here too in the future; if there’s a chance, I will certainly seek Mr. Cai’s guidance.”

With that, Shen Yuyan didn’t linger any longer, turning towards the reception desk, leaving behind a poised and composed figure.

For those who had bullied and humiliated her in the past, she never forgot and certainly won’t let them off easily.

Back when she met Cai Zihe through a friend’s introduction, their conversations were initially pleasant, but it soon descended into him harassing her verbally and even suggesting some inappropriate quid-pro-quo terms.

After she staunchly rejected him, he clearly felt disgraced and later showed her photos at a drinking party, mocking her as another ”resource-oriented beauty founder” in Yan City’s venture circles.

...

After completing the registration, she took the elevator straight to the 50th floor.

Stepping out of the elevator, Shen Yuyan took a deep breath, adjusted her state of mind, and stepped towards the company entrance.

What first caught her eye was a massive glass wall, with the ”Rongliu Capital” metal logo embedded on it, gleaming under the lights.

The entire reception area was designed with simplicity and grandeur, exuding an upscale atmosphere.

Front desk administrator Emily stood up and politely asked, ”Hello, welcome to Rongliu Investment. Is there anything I can assist you with?”

Shen Yuyan wore a perfectly balanced smile, ”Hello, I’m a new employee joining today.”

”Uh?” Emily was slightly taken aback. ”What’s your name and position?”

For employees coming in for interviews or onboarding, she was usually responsible for welcoming them, and someone with such a remarkable face shouldn’t be unfamiliar to her.

Shen Yuyan chuckled lightly, ”Special Assistant to the Chairman, Shen Yuyan, Shirley.”

Upon hearing the name, Emily’s eyes widened for a moment, ”Please wait a moment, I’ll notify a leader.”

With that, she quickly dialed HR Manager June, briefly explaining the situation.

Moments later, Emily hung up and her face lit up with a bright, enthusiastic smile, ”Hello Shirley, welcome to Rongliu Investment! I’m Administrative Officer Emily. I’ll take you to the meeting room!”

”Okay, thank you, Emily.” Shen Yuyan responded with a smile, feeling unsurprised by Emily’s reaction.

In fact, it was only last night that she finalized today’s onboarding details with Tang Song.

Even if Tang Song notified the HR department immediately, most of the staff probably remained unaware.

Walking alongside Emily, Shen Yuyan curiously took in her surroundings.

The open-plan office area was spacious and bright, with desks and chairs arranged neatly, each station equipped with high-end gear.

The work environment was impeccable, making Youjie Housekeeping seem like a crude, underdeveloped workshop in comparison.

Opening the meeting room door, Emily respectfully gestured, ”Shirley, please wait here, the leaders will arrive shortly.”

Shen Yuyan nodded her thanks and stepped into the meeting room.

The room was simply yet richly appointed, with a dark-wood long table paired with leather seats, and art pieces adorning the walls.

The overall style was understated but luxurious—a quintessential hallmark of top-tier private equity firms.

She walked to the window, overlooking the bustling core of the city’s financial district below.

The Yan Province Financial Center symbolized a confluence of immense wealth and authority, embodying her ambitions and dreams as well.

A few minutes later, a series of somewhat hurried footsteps could be heard approaching outside, which then deliberately slowed their pace.

Shen Yuyan turned around, sensing something and looking towards the door.

Soon after, the meeting room door opened, and a familiar figure walked in.

Their eyes met across the room, and the atmosphere instantly became delicate.

Lin Muxue’s lips trembled slightly, her face turning quickly unpleasant.

Shen Yuyan couldn’t help but smile brilliantly, her eyes shining with light, ”Xue, oh no, Luna, let’s reintroduce ourselves! I’m Tang Song’s special assistant, Shen Yuyan, you can call me—Shirley.”
