Chapter 172: Chapter 157 [Character Exchange Card]_3 Chapter 172: Chapter 157 [Character Exchange Card]_3 As President Xu left, Xie Shuyu explained with a smile, “He’s the Marketing Manager of Rongxin Venture Capital, Xu Desheng. Our company was able to successfully pass the preliminary selection because of his recommendation. Many things can’t be said openly; I just had to use you as a shield for a while, I hope you don’t mind.”

Tang Song looked at the elegant and intelligent female CEO and smiled, “I understand, I don’t mind.”

Xie Shuyu slowly released Tang Song’s arm, playfully saying, “Let’s go, I am really hungry. Let’s grab something to eat first, and then I’ll introduce you to some friends later, and you can help me block some drinks.”

“Okay.”

Although it was just a networking cocktail event, the food there was quite plentiful.

All kinds of seafood, meats, salads, fruits, and more were available.

After dinner, Xie Shuyu took him around the venue, treating him like a junior, introducing him to many people.

There were familiar startup teams and leaders of investment institutions.

9:00 PM.

The female assistant drove out of Dingshi Commercial Center in a BMW 7 Series.

Xie Shuyu slightly squinted her eyes, leaning back in the rear seat, her fair face flushing slightly.

Tang Song asked with concern, “Are you okay, Suyu?”

Xie Shuyu turned her head and smiled at him, “I’m fine, I’ll just sleep it off when I get back, just wait a moment.”

Then, she took out her cellphone from her purse, fiddled with it, and continued, “Check your WeChat, and accept the money.”

Tang Song was stunned for a moment, picked up his phone, and unlocked the screen, immediately seeing a WeChat message.

[Xie Shuyu: “Transfer 10000.00 yuan”, please accept]

“This is too much, double the salary was fine,” Tang Song was about to send it back.

Xie Shuyu grasped his hand firmly, shook her head, “Accept the money; otherwise, I will feel guilty tonight. Your performance tonight far exceeded what I paid.”

She was probably a bit tipsy, as her speech and movements became much more casual, her breath heavy with the scent of red wine.

Feeling her cool, delicate hand and looking at her moist lips and graceful face, Tang Song’s heart skipped a beat.

He hadn’t expected the usually intellectual and elegant Xie Shuyu to have such a casual side.

Xie Shuyu moved closer to him, stretched out her slender fingers to accept the transfer for him, “Your part-time salary will be raised to 8000 yuan starting this month.”

She paused, then explained, “After all, the company is not just mine; there are two other shareholders, and this amount is the limit for part-time work.”

Breathing in the mature, intoxicating fragrance of alcohol on her, Tang Song sincerely said, “Thank you, Suyu. The current mini-program only needs normal iteration, and the work is very easy, actually 3000 yuan is enough.”

With his current value, this part-time fee was really nothing. He chose to take on this part-time work mostly to have more interaction with Xie Shuyu, the elegant and intelligent female CEO.”

“This is what you deserve,” Xie Shuyu straightened up, reached up to gather the hair on her forehead, then stopped talking, merely gazing at him with her moist and bright eyes.

She ultimately didn’t bring up the invitation for him to officially join Glimmer Coffee.

The company was at a critical stage of financing, and the other two shareholders already had objections, so she didn’t have a suitable position for Tang Song right now.

Moreover, Jinxiu Commerce was favored by Smile Capital, promising a bright future. Compared to that, she couldn’t offer him any sufficiently attractive incentives for the time being.

The reason she gave him such a high wage for his part-time work was not only because she genuinely appreciated him but also because she didn’t want Tang Song to make any wrong decisions for the sake of money––like those potentially offered by Manager Wang.

With his current salary plus this part-time fee, he could live a very good life in Yan City.

Once her company finished financing and scaled up, she could directly bring him over as an executive and motivate him with stock options, surely sparking his interest.”

Pondering these intermittent thoughts, Xie Shuyu slowly closed her eyes.

Tang Song sat quietly in the backseat, boldly appreciating the slightly tipsy state of the female CEO and sensing her unique other side.

The atmosphere in the car was quiet and cozy.

After a while, the female assistant’s gentle voice reminded them, “President Xie, we’ve arrived.”

Xie Shuyu opened her eyes, looked around at the familiar surroundings, and said softly to the female assistant, “Min, just drive Tang Song home and come pick me up in the morning.”

“Okay, President Xie,” Assistant Li Xiaomin quickly nodded.

Xie Shuyu opened the car door, waved at Tang Song, “Bye.”

“Bye.”

As Xie Shuyu’s elegant and sexy figure disappeared into the entrance hall, the BMW slowly started moving.

Li Xiaomin asked, “Tang Song, which neighborhood do you live in? I’ll set the navigation.”

“YJTC.”

“Uh…” Hearing the name of the neighborhood, Li Xiaomin opened her mouth in surprise but didn’t say more, speeding up out of the underground garage.”

After about ten minutes.

The car slowly stopped outside the south gate of the neighborhood.

Tang Song thanked her and got out of the car.

Back in his apartment, he loosened the collar of his shirt, opened a can of Coke, leaned back on the soft sofa, and gazed at the city night view outside the window.

“Swish!” The system screen unfolded in front of him.
