Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2383 Out

Fiora daintily nodded with a light smile on her face.

By this time, Davis also realized that these dishes seemed to be made individually by Evelynn and the others. He thought that these were preserved for him from the celebratory feast, but he certainly didnʼt think that they went out of their way to cook for him.

Becoming heartened, he said nothing and continued to taste each dish. He didnʼt comment, but his reaction showed Evelynn and the others what they needed to know. After Davis tasted most of the dishes, they sat down with him and joined the feast.

Nadia also came out in her cute wolf form and instantly became a huge hit, being passed around while she was fed meat.

Davis could only laugh at this point over how Nadia had gone from a majestic wolf to a house pet. But in the end, they were all his lovely women, so he only wished for them to be closer, and perhaps by sheer fortune, he hadnʼt encountered a major problem like he was led to believe.

”Sophie and Niera. Itʼs been a while, actually a long while, for you two. Iʼve missed you.”

Sophie and Nieraʼs eyes lit up, but their cheeks also produced a blush.

”Was the scythe of any help? Itʼs not up to par with your current strength… Iʼm sorry...”

However, the first words Sophie said was if he cared about the armament she made, and even she apologized, causing Davis to be stumped.

”What are you saying? It helped me get rid of some evil elements in the world...”

”Really? Iʼm glad to hear that~”

A wide smile appeared on Sophieʼs face, indicating her happiness over a bunch of dead evil people but also her creation ending up useful to Davis.

Davis nodded and turned to look at Niera. His gaze scanned her for quite some time, both Niera and Sophie in particular, while relishing the mellow texture of the meat, causing Niera to blush more.

”What are you looking at?” She clenched her teeth in embarrassment, causing Davis to chuckle and finally open his mouth.

”Congratulations on entering the Law Rune Stage and Martial Overlord Stage, Sophie and Niera.”

”Many thanks~” Sophie was honestly enjoying Davisʼs gaze, but Niera still hadnʼt seemed to have come to terms with his rogue-like gaze.

She could feel his blatant desire which made her feel strange but showing such passion in front of everyone made her embarrassed beyond compare.

It wasnʼt like she hadnʼt experienced this feeling before, but it was a long time already since she had been looked at like that by him, occasionally making her heart palpitate faster.

Davis was down bad as he occasionally switched his gaze on everyone, sending mixed signals that kept them on their toes even while they sat. Nonetheless, while they had their tension going on, Ivo Reinʼs carcass had been cut into many pieces and thoroughly cooked, brought to their table.

It garnered more attention than they thought, as even Shirley and Lea seemed visibly tempted over the aromatic Burning Phoenix meat presented on their table. However, to regain their sanity, they stood up and walked away, causing Isabella to shake her head.

”Iʼll eat an Earth Dragon if I have to, no problem...”

As she said so, she took a part of the delicious wings and sunk her teeth into it, feeling the soft texture and a burst of flavors sprinkled with a variety of spices splashing against her taste buds.

”Mhm!~~~”

She moaned as she held her cheek, causing the others to partake while Shirley and Lea shivered.

”Aye, child, donʼt hold yourself back. Youʼre a human, after all.” Ancestor Cornelia lightly smiled as she tried to convince Lea. Even she had to admit that she was attracted to this aromatic smell. After all, magical beasts could be cannibalistic as well.

In fact, it provided them with the most nutrition as they were practically intaking the same attribute, leading to strengthening. But… It was just eating their own didnʼt sit well with them unless it was a situation of starving to death.

”No, I was a Sect Master once, so I will uphold myself to its rules. Shirley, you-”

”And I was a Top Disciple!~”

However, Shirley and Lea did remain unmoved even though they were highly tempted.

Davis could only chuckle at their actions. However, he respected it. He looked elsewhere and found Nadia with her own huge plate, grasping more than half the chicken- uhm, the Burning Phoenix Meat as she sunk her giant fangs into it, ripping them clean as she bit down, chewing as she swallowed.

ʼWhat a glutton...ʼ

Her eyes turned watery, and evidently, Davis could tell that Nadia found it so good that she cried.

A Level Seven Immortal Beast would surely be appetizing for the current Nadia, although Davis doubted it would allow her to even break through a single level as her prowess was already at Level Eight Immortal Beast Stage or, perhaps, Level Nine Immortal Beast Stage. He was not sure.

Nonetheless, becoming extremely tempted, he took the piece of meat from the Burning Phoenix dish and brought it to his mouth, about to munch down on it when abruptly, a heartbeat echoed from his body.

*Thump!~*

ʼThis…ʼ

Davisʼs pupils dilated. He abruptly dropped the precious piece of meat in his hand and rushed out like the wind.

Most didnʼt see how Davis disappeared, causing their eyes to widen while Evelynn and Shirley quickly followed him out, wondering if something was wrong.

However, they vaguely saw him rushing into the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace.

At this time, Nadia also rushed past them, entering their mansion.

Becoming curious, they informed the others and followed him into it before finally noticing that he had entered the seventh floor and even activated the formation there.

Stepping inside the formation, they found a silvery-white cocoon beside Davis. It was taller than him by a few meters.

However, looking at this scene, Evelynn and the others became shocked as they recognized it.

It was similar to the cocoon Nadia emerged from, but only it undulated differently and exuded a vastly superior aura.

”Everlightʼs awakening...”

Evelynn couldnʼt help but utter, her eyes flashing in a strange light as she found her bloodline become provoked a bit. She had felt this feeling only a single time, and that was when she laid her eyes on Nadia after becoming an Emperor-Tier entity herself!
