Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1064 Absorbing the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison

”Now the preparations are all complete.”

Davis ignored Evelynnʼs shocked expression and continued on with his explanation.

”First, you have to absorb this Mid-Level Sky Grade Poison Essence and Fiery Miasma Searing Poison into your dantian and refine it. Iʼll warn you that even though the Will had been erased, it still has its instincts left. It will try to flee or counterattack once disturbed, so you must try to suppress it to the best of your ability while refining.”

”This will cause your Essence Gathering Cultivation to increase and your law comprehension to improve, and you must use this chance to melt the Law Manifestation you have already manifested so that you can mold that into an even more extremely powerful Law Manifestation!”

”However, donʼt be hasty. Once you completely refined the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison, you must instantly continue on with the Pestilent Dragonfly Dust Spawn.”

”Absorbing this Low-Level King Grade Poison Essence wouldnʼt be easy, but you would have to follow the same steps. Besides, I will aid you during the absorp-”

*Whoosh!~*

Davis paused as he embraced back Evelynn, who flew into his embrace and trembled. His lips turned into a curve as he knew that she was probably extremely moved.

After some time, Evelynn finally stopped trembling. She opened her mouth, ”I apologize for being selfish.”

Davis narrowed his eyes, ”Selfish? I donʼt recall you being selfish earlier today?”

Evelynn became taken aback as she moved her head behind and stared at his face. Her black eyes appeared moist, and her lips quivered.

”But... While you were working hard for me, I was selfish and wanted you to spend more time with me after the deed.”

Davis became unamused, ”Look, I wanted you to become elated and strong. My intention wasnʼt to make you feel wrong about yourself. It is perfectly fine to want me to stay after the deed and not selfish at all since that feeling is mutual.”

”Supposedly, if even one of you left me to work somewhere after the deed like nothing happened, I would feel disappointed enough to stop caring about that person. I didnʼt tell you why I was leaving before I left. It was I who was in the wrong this time as I wasnʼt careful enough to be more conscious of your feelings, so you donʼt need to feel wrong about this...”

”If someone were to be blamed, then that person would be me...”

”Blame you...?” Evelynn blinked in disbelief, ”I wouldnʼt be as shameless to do something like that when youʼre working so hard for me and the others...”

Davis chuckled a bit in happiness. He held her cheeks and kissed her supple lips with gratification dwelling in his heart.

Indeed, many people took things for granted from their significant half and didnʼt appreciate them but instead even put them down by establishing a falsified fact that they were not working hard enough.

Clearly, his Evelynn wasnʼt one of them.

They separated, and he got back to explaining how she should proceed in absorbing the two Poison Essences since there was a chance that she wouldʼve misunderstood his initial instructions since she was confused at the beginning.

He then started to explain the doʼs and donʼts as he had experience in absorbing Lightning Elementals, but since Evelynn was absorbing Poison Essences, he told her to only take his experience as a reference as the way these two types of Spirit Attribute Sources instinctively behave might be different.

They arrived at the center of the big room. It was like a circular hall. He made her be seated in the middle while he brought the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison into the fray. The orange gem kept glowing like a crimson volcano that was going to explode, but its fluctuations were relatively calm, considering that an external influence like Davisʼs soul force was disturbing it at this point.

ʼHeh, looks like the Poison Essenceʼs instincts also submitted to my death-like energy, just like how the Derelict Extinction Lightningʼs instincts also didnʼt dare to make any moves even though it was being refined by me at that time...ʼ Davis inwardly chuckled, but he frowned.

He couldnʼt use his death-like energy inside Evelynn. It would scare her to death instead, making her unable to concentrate, maybe even give her panic attacks from time to time. It would just have the opposite effect and, instead, cause her to fail.

ʼWait!? Would the life-like energy have an effect on suppressing this Poison Essence...?ʼ Davis felt like he suddenly had a great idea.

Life should be opposed to things that would mostly cause death. He felt that his logic was on point.

However, his expression fell as he realized what if it instead revived the Will of the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison. Wouldnʼt it result in his Evelynn being easily poisoned?

Of course, he could reverse the poisoning with his life-like energy, but that would make the whole situation redundant and disadvantageous.

He could only try this is as an experiment at a later date.

For now, he would just have to believe in Evelynnʼs prowess and comprehension ability!

Of course, he would also concentrate on aiding her, but if she loses control, then all would be for naught.

Evelynn already took a deep breath and was waiting for her husbandʼs command to absorb it into her dantian.

”Careful!”

Evelynn simultaneously brought her energy towards her abdomen, and the orange gem passed through her body as if it were passing through water. It got into her pores before entering her flesh, veins, bloodstream, and even tried to enter her bones!

However, at the same time, her essence energy and martial energy flooded into that part of the body and quickly suppressed the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison that gathered in one place, trying to form into an orange gem again!

Evelynn gritted her teeth in difficulty and brought the orange gem towards her dantian. There were two other ways. One was to send it from her back, and the other was to swallow it whole! Both ways can be used to bring this Poison Essence to her dantian, but the chances of being poisoned also increased.

Swallowing it through the throat was too dangerous as it connected to the heart, lungs, and other important organs of the body, not to mention that the chances of the poison spreading to her whole body would be drastically increased.

She could try from the back but... Davis was to her back, having his palm placed on her back to support her circulation of energy from going awry. Even if it did go awry, he would quickly suppress the Poison Essence with his own methods. All she had to do was drag it to her dantian, but obviously, she would never let him do that for her!

If she did, what exactly was she cultivating for!?

Feeling motivated as if being possessed by a heart demon, her flesh-searing essence energy brought the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison into her dantian and successfully suppressed it in the place!

Evelynnʼs eyes flashed with a venomous purplish-green light!

All she had to do now was refine the Fiery Miasma Searing Poison until it completely turned into nothing but her energy and comprehension!
