Endless World: The Rise of Leonard Lawson

The elderly man was enraged and continued his repeated scolding, as well as his emphasis on the sacred garden.

He repeatedly scolded Leonard for entering the private property.

But soon, their target of verbal abuse subsequently changed to the deceased Irene.

”A mere slut dares to be buried in the soil of our sacred garden? You must be out of your mind!” The elderly man snorted in disdain. With just a simple glance at the corpse, they could tell they were some whores who were ravaged daily. His perception of Irene’s fate was quite extraordinary.

But little did they know, the other women who had been following Leonard were already slowly retreating their steps.

It wasn’t that they were frightened by the elderly man’s scolding, but that they knew shit was about to go down.

Even the usually composed Caroline was petrified and made sure to retreat far away from the scene.

’This elderly man really doesn’t know how to read the mood.’ Caroline wanted to curse at the elderly man for nearly implicating her in an explosive fury.

Who didn’t know the current Leonard was like a ticking bomb?

The further he was provoked, the faster and larger the bomb would explode.

”Shirley, can you help bury Irene with the soil and then retreat to the side?” Leonard asked gently. His tone was unimaginably warm and sweet, which inadvertently caused Shirley to feel a chill.

”Yes, Master.” She hurriedly nodded and filled the hole with the soil.

Once that was done, she retreated to the side. Her body was trembling in fear.

Even though she knew the upcoming danger wasn’t directed at her, she still felt a dreadful pressure emitting from Leonard.

”Hmph, you people sure have no manners!” The elderly man scoffed coldly. Not only was his warning ignored, but even his presence was disregarded. He had never seen someone as disrespectful as Leonard.

”The one who has no manners is you.” Leonard stood up, patted his pants lightly to dust off some of the soil. His eyes then glanced around at the tranquil garden versus the chaos outside.

While carrying Irene over here, he noticed many corpses were laid out in the open. Moreover, the elderly man’s tone of speech and earlier remarks made it clear that he had witnessed the incident but chose to turn a blind eye.

If it were city guards, then Leonard could still ignore the deed.

However, the corpses were all dressed in ragged clothes. This meant that they probably fled over here from the slum region.

In other words, the slum region was invaded by berserk slaves, too. Yet not a single guard was nearby, nor had an actual battle occurred.

These people sure know how to treat the lower class as ants!

As Leonard’s gaze locked onto the elderly man, his eyes no longer calm but burning with a scarlet haze of wrath.

”What are you staring at me for, youngster?” The elderly man coldly said.

”Intrude on the sacred garden, blaspheme the place by digging out the soil, and then even bury a slut in our beautiful flowers. The crimes that you committed are enough to have you executed in public!”

A series of accusations was thrown at Leonard by the elderly man. The latter seemed intent on pursuing the matter and ensuring Leonard would face a serious repercussion.

Not even death could atone for his sins in ruining the beautiful scenery!

Upon listening to the list of accusations, Leonard’s chest heaved once.

”The crimes you listed... You forgot about one more thing.” He calmly said.

”Oh? Which other crime did you commit?” The elderly man’s eyes narrowed coldly and demanded.

Soon, realization dawned upon him. His attention shifted to the group of women behind Leonard. ”Ah, more intruders! Fret not, I’ll gladly play with them later on once you get detained. I’m sure the city guards would be extra attentive knowing that there are more women to enjoy.”

”Women to enjoy?” Leonard laughed hysterically. His laughter continued to increase exponentially.

”The elderly man is doomed,” Caroline commented from the back.

Of all the things the elderly man could utter, he just had to utter all the critical points that would trigger Leonard to the max.

”Mirelle, get ready to cast a large barrier around them if you want to protect them.” She promptly warned her in advance.

Mirelle nodded and adhered to her warning.

While Mirelle prepared a defensive barrier for the group of survivors, Leonard had taken a single step forward.

The step itself had actually sent a powerful shockwave through the ground.

His fist was clenched, wrapped in uncontrolled mana that sparked and lashed out like black lightning.

”Since you are so old and wish to enjoy women, then allow me to give you a massage to loosen your muscles.” Leonard sneered. He then swung his fist. The fist itself was not merely just physical strength, but with the weight of fury that shook the garden walls.

The air itself cracked, a distorted ripple tearing through space as his punch roared toward the old man.

”Y-You actually dared to use violence??!” The elderly man barely had time to register what was happening. The former was punched fiercely, his body flailing and twisting around.

However, that was merely the beginning.

What followed after the punch was Leonard’s knee shooting up like the rising sun, colliding with the man’s gut in a savage strike.

In the meantime, his other hand was still charged with wild mana as he slammed down across the man’s shoulder like a hammer meant to break stone.

It was not a battle technique! It was not a graceful movement either!

Instead, it was wrath embodied. An eruption of raw power and body fused in a merciless barrage.

The elderly man coughed up blood instantly, his arrogant expression finally shattered under the assault.

The garden’s serene air was gone.

They were replaced by the howl of violent energy, the smell of ruptured earth, and the chilling realization that Leonard had become something monstrous when provoked.

”Oi, why are you blaspheming the sacred garden with your blood, old man?” Leonard questioned coldly.
