Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1933 - 262: The Arrogant Little Cousin 3

”What bad luck – not a single attempt was successful,” Chen Yao couldnʼt help but complain.

Although she wasnʼt as carefree and unemotional as her aunt Wang Yuyao or her cousin Su Jiaojiao, she had a strong inner self.

After some time to adjust, the feeling of fluttering in her heart towards Wang Yue was still there, but she was no longer so shy about it.

Wang Yuqi then asked Ling Xueyan, ”Sister-in-law, how many times did you and Xiao Chen succeed?”

”Xiao Chen succeeded on the first try, but I tried several times,” Ling Xueyan replied with a smile. ”So thereʼs no need for you to rush; with more attempts, youʼll definitely be able to do it too.”

”Iʼm not in a hurry at all. Even without him, I could still practice on my own,” Wang Yuqi said stubbornly.

Shen Siying said with a laugh, ”Itʼs okay if it doesnʼt work on the first try; you can keep trying in the future. Lunch should be ready by now; letʼs go to the restaurant.”

Itʼs often said that when a son-in-law comes to his mother-in-lawʼs house, he feels like an ant on a hot griddle, eager to leave as soon as possible.

In his previous life, Wang Yue might have felt the same way. But now, he didnʼt feel that way at all.

The three prominent families of Jinling were all his home, and these women were the people closest to him.

The longing for them that had developed over time had etched their images deeply into Wang Yueʼs heart, almost becoming a part of him.

Therefore, it was impossible for him to feel estranged from them, and without that sense of estrangement, there was no need for awkwardness between them.

Apart from Shen Siying, all the Chen family women were experiencing such exquisite food for the first time.

With Wang Yue around, the atmosphere was even more pleasant, and they naturally had a good appetite.

After lunch, Ling Xueyan and Chen Chen returned to the Chen family mansion. Although there were many ”business” matters waiting for them there, in reality, they just went to rest.

Wang Yue had worn them out in the morning; although his internal energy helped, certain types of fatigue couldnʼt be alleviated by it, so they needed a good rest.

However, Wang Yue didnʼt follow them. After dinner, he took Chen Xi to the garden behind the building.

He felt guilty towards Chen Xi, but he couldnʼt give up other women for her, so he could only spend as much time with her as possible.

Holding hands, they walked leisurely among the pavilions in the garden; neither of them spoke, but their silence was more expressive than words.

Having known each other since childhood and realizing from a young age that they were meant to be together, they already had a sense of familiarity that resembled that of long-term partners.

Often, they didnʼt need words; a glance was enough to understand what the other wanted.

After walking for a while, they sat down under a tree. Suddenly, Chen Xi asked, ”Whatʼs going on between you and Chu Mo?”

Wang Yue wasnʼt sure what Chen Xi meant, so he answered truthfully, ”As you know, I went out to sea and just returned yesterday; I havenʼt seen her yet.”

”Then you didnʼt even call her while you were at sea?” Chen Xi asked.

Wang Yue nodded, feeling a bit guilty. While at sea, he had been busy celebrating with his aunt and the others; there was no time to make calls. It seemed that he really wasnʼt a qualified boyfriend after all.

Chen Xi glanced at Wang Yue and said, ”Since youʼve decided to pursue Chu Mo, you should treat her well. Donʼt do anything that would lead to you abandoning her halfway.”

Wang Yue was taken aback and asked, ”Why are you speaking up for her? Could it be…”

”Could it be what?” Chen Xi replied irritably, but then sighed.

”But compared to being a playboy, I canʼt accept you being irresponsible. If it werenʼt for the fact that we were engaged since we were young, I really wouldnʼt want anything to do with you.”

Wang Yue knew full well that Chen Xi was just being stubborn, so he immediately pulled her into his arms and said, ”Xiao Xi, I still want to tell you again: in this life, and in all future lives, I will always love you.”

Without giving Chen Xi a chance to respond, he kissed her lips.

The little irritation that had arisen in Chen Xiʼs heart was instantly swept away by that kiss; she hugged Wang Yueʼs neck and returned his kisses enthusiastically.

While kissing Chen Xiʼs sweet lips, Wang Yue began to caress her body – it was time for his official fiancée to become a real woman.

Wang Yue was now an expert at flirtation, and since Chen Xi loved him deeply and didnʼt resist his touch, it wasnʼt long before she began to feel hot and weak, and her breathing became rapid.

But just as Wang Yue was about to take things further, his ear moved slightly, and he picked up a fallen leaf from the ground, flicking it toward the sound.

”Ouch!”

A cry of pain came from a distance.

Caught in the midst of her fiancéʼs kiss, Chen Xi quickly broke free from Wang Yue and turned to look in the direction of the noise.

About twenty meters away, in a cluster of flowers, Chen Peng was holding his forehead and glaring at Wang Yue.

The sight of her kissing Wang Yue was seen by her younger sister, and Chen Xiʼs face turned red with embarrassment. She asked indignantly, ”Xiao Peng, what are you doing there?”

”I… I just happened to pass by; I wasnʼt trying to spy on you!” Chen Peng said, walking over while glaring at Wang Yue.

”Wang Yue, you jerk! Why did you hit me?” Wang Yue and Chen Xi exchanged wry smiles; there was no need to hide anything from this silly girl.

”I just threw something; who would have thought you would be there at that moment?” Wang Yue said, rolling his eyes.

”Second sister, look how heʼs bullying me,” Chen Peng said, sitting down next to Chen Xi without any sense of distance and clinging to her arm in a coquettish manner, while showing her his forehead.

”Can you two not start arguing as soon as you meet?” Chen Xi said with a sigh of exasperation. Seeing the small red bump on her sisterʼs forehead, she felt a pang of sympathy. ”Wang Yue, why did you use such force?”

Force?

He had certainly controlled the strength of his blow; the leaf hitting Chen Pengʼs forehead was nothing more than a light tap, so it was impossible for a bump to form.

That little bump was obviously something that little troublemaker had created in an attempt to arouse sympathy.

But Wang Yue didnʼt intend to expose her trick. He placed his hand on Chen Pengʼs forehead and said with a smile, ”Okay, I wonʼt do it again next time.”
