Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1542: Chapter 1542: Happy Feng’er

Seeing Haixin’s expression, Wang Yueryao’s heart skipped a beat.

This girl, despite her age, had a childlike personality and had never experienced romantic feelings.

After hearing her words, she might just randomly find a man to try it out. So she quickly said, ”Of course, it only works with Ye Fei. It won’t be the same with anyone else.”

”Why not?” Haixin asked eagerly. Wang Yueryao’s guess was spot-on. She wanted to try it with a man, and Ye Fei was her first choice.

Unfortunately, Ye Fei wasn’t home at the moment.

If Wang Yueryao hadn’t said those words, she might have gone out and found someone else.

”Can’t explain it in just a few words. Why don’t you get some background knowledge first?” Wang Yueryao suggested. She then went out and fetched two tablets, teaching them how to operate and surf the internet.

The two goddesses had never encountered such modern devices before, but being super experts, their learning abilities were far from ordinary.

It took them only a short while to master the basics. They then started browsing for things that interested them.

Haixin went straight for the topics she was curious about, while Kongling was much more reserved.

Although she was curious inside, she felt embarrassed to act as openly as Haixin in front of Wang Yueryao, so she started by looking at some news.

After settling them in, Wang Yueryao returned to her villa and began to sequester herself for some serious practice.

Speaking of Ye Fei, after spending a delightful night with his sexy and charming mother-in-law, he didn’t leave but stayed with her for another day.

Initially, Ye Fei had planned to spend some quality time with Ji Shuiqiu, maybe go out and have fun.

But shortly after they left the house, his mother-in-law pulled him back home.

The rest of the time, the two of them excitedly indulged in each other.

This made Ye Fei realize that appearances can be deceiving, and he could also guess Ji Shuiqiu’s intentions.

Since their relationship couldn’t be made public, she would seize every opportunity to fully enjoy herself with him.

By the afternoon, Ji Shuiqiu was completely exhausted and fell into a deep sleep. After staying with her for a while longer, Ye Fei got up and headed back to the manor.

”Honey, you’re back!” As soon as he entered, he heard a sweet call, and then a sexy and stunning figure threw herself into his arms, burying her head in his embrace.

It was Zhuo Feng’er, who was supposed to be at the film company.

”Be careful! Don’t strain yourself,” Ye Fei quickly caught the beautiful aunt and said, having impregnated several of his older wives during these months at home, including Zhuo Feng’er.

Zhuo Feng’er knew she had been too impulsive and stuck her tongue out in embarrassment, then laughed and said, ”I’m just so happy.”

”What’s got you so excited? Tell your husband,” Ye Fei gently stroked her still-flat waist and asked.

”My movie is going to win an award, and it has three nominations!” Zhuo Feng’er said happily and proudly.

”Really? That’s amazing!” Ye Fei said in surprise. The company had won many awards, so many that Ye Fei had become somewhat desensitized. But those were all thanks to the genius director, Situ Ying.

This time was different. This was Zhuo Feng’er’s first time directing, and she had done an unexpectedly great job.

”Of course! I put my heart into it,” Zhuo Feng’er smiled.

”Tell me more,” Ye Fei said, holding Zhuo Feng’er as they walked slowly together.

The movie was a niche subject, even somewhat philosophical. It didn’t have any big-name actors. Although they weren’t all newcomers, they weren’t famous either.

Unlike those big-name actors who command millions in salaries, the actors Zhuo Feng’er chose were all talented performers.

Even the newcomers were impressive, not just pretty faces. She didn’t hire any ”pretty but talentless” actors.

In her words, ”My movie isn’t about selling sex appeal or fan service. It’s about depth.”

Of course, this kind of approach doesn’t fly in the domestic film market. Look at the horror, youth, or even period dramas—most of the actresses are showing off their bodies to attract audiences.

”The script is the life of a movie, and the actors’ performances are the branches and leaves, the very essence of it.

As for sex appeal and good looks, those are secondary. Some domestic film companies are too focused on the wrong things.

They think that by hiring big-name actors, young heartthrobs, or beautiful actresses, and slapping together a big IP, they can make a good movie.

That’s just a joke and an extremely irresponsible way to deceive fans,” Zhuo Feng’er explained, leaning against Ye Fei.

Ye Fei nodded in understanding. ”You’re right. There are so many bad movies released every year—no plot, no acting, no depth. They’re just milking fans for money. It’s despicable.”

”Exactly! Watching those movies makes me feel sick. A lot of people online even question whether domestic filmmakers ever went to school, since they can’t write a good script, or whether domestic actors are just randomly picked, since they can’t act.

Even a unique performance like Er Kang’s nostril display would be better than what we have now... haha. We’re the ones complaining, but whatever. I’m the director, and I’m the producer.

We have the money, and we can hire the people we need. So why not make the movies we want to make? Even if they don’t cater to the mainstream audience, I did it anyway!” Zhuo Feng’er puffed out her chest, looking very proud.

”I agree with you, and it aligns with my philosophy. So, honey, I’m proud of you this time,” Ye Fei said seriously.

As the other women in the house came back, they were all extremely surprised and delighted to hear that Zhuo Feng’er’s movie had been nominated for the Cannes Film Festival.

Some of them were also movie buffs, with different tastes ranging from domestic to international films, blockbusters to art films.
