New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1977: Viny and Thorny

When Ajax entered the Celestial Dawn Realm, he received a Welcome Gift with minimal work whereas he received the reward from the Celestial Pillar for doing absolutely nothing.

The Monster Vine Seed sprouted on its own by absorbing his Divine Spirit Consciousness and it entered the Celestial Pillar on its own and the one who is receiving the rewards is him.

Of course, Ajax was happy about it and decided to take the reward that nurtured the Monster Vine for 100 years, hoping that his selection would earn him more rewards.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼClingʼ

As soon as Ajax finished his selection, the words on the Celestial Pillar disappeared and sounds came from the pillar.

ʼSwooshʼ

After waiting a few minutes, a Purple-coloured Monster Vine flew out of the Celestial Pillar and wrapped around Ajaxʼs arm.

ʼWhat? Itʼs already nurtured to 100 years old?ʼ

Ajax was surprised to see the one-foot-long Monster Vine wrapped around his arm.

Earlier, just for sprouting, it took nearly six hours and now, it didnʼt even take a minute before it reached a length of one meter.

Although Ajax knew it would be faster thanks to the Celestial Pillar, he didnʼt expect the process would not even take one minute.

ʼMasterʼ

Amidst his surprise, Ajax heard a little girlʼs voice in his head, giving him another pleasant surprise.

It was because the voice belonged to the Monster Vine, wrapping around his arm.

”You can already communicate with me? Not bad.”

Even though it was only spirit communication, Ajax was more than happy.

ʼYes, Master. It is my first ability, the [Spirit Communication].ʼ

The Monster Vine informed Ajax of the reason behind why it was able to communicate with him.

”Hm.”

Ajax was not surprised about Monster Vine unlocking an ability because most Mythical Grade Trees, including the special ones, do the same.

[Participant, defends the Celestial Pillar from other participantʼs Monster Vine entering the pillar]

[As for the participants without the Monster Vine, they canʼt get any rewards from the Celestial Pillar and have to try their luck in the Celestial Dawn Realm]

Once again, Ajax heard the Ancient Voice in his head, informing him about his task.

ʼAs expected, to get the treasures from the Celestial Dawn Realm, the Monster Vine is the key.

Although it was a little different from Ajaxʼs assumption, it didnʼt change the main fact and it was ʼMonster Vine is the Key.ʼ

ʼDid I make a mistake by not letting my subordinates nurture the Monster Vine?ʼ

Suddenly, Ajax regretted his earlier decision because his subordinates had missed the free gifts from the Celestial Pillars.

ʼShould I order them to nurture the Monster Vine Seeds in their bodies?ʼ

At the same time, he wondered about it.

After moving along with Siora, Ajax have encountered four Wild Monster Vines, securing four Monster Vine Seeds. So, he believed that all his subordinates would have received at least one Monster Vine Seed each.

ʼForget it. It will take at least six hours to nurture the Monster Vine Seed into a Sprout. By then, how many changes will happen in the Celestial Dawn Realm and to the Celestial Pillars?ʼ

Ajax shook his head, rejecting the idea for multiple reasons.

One of them was obviously that it would take six hours to sprout the Monster Vine Seed. It was not long; however, judging by the tasks issued by the Celestial Pillars, many things might happen within these six hours.

Also, Ajax believed that the Celestial Pillar would eventually make him initiate the fight with the other participants who were guarding the other Celestial Pillars.

ʼI hope they can find some treasures outside the Celestial Pillars and even if they donʼt find anything, I will provide them with the cultivation resources as usual.ʼ

Ajax was always generous with his subordinates and took care of his loved ones. So, even if they donʼt find anything in the Celestial Dawn Realm, he could share his cultivation resources.

ʼAnyway, once we leave the Celestial Dawn Realm, I will enter the Dark Region which is filled with treasures, waiting for me to pick them.ʼ

Except for the Divine Grade Fruits, Ajax mostly doesnʼt have much use for other cultivation resources. Thus, he could give away all the cultivation resources he finds in both the Celestial Dawn Realm and the Dark Region.

Compared to the Celestial Dawn Realm, Ajax has high hopes for the Dark Region which was not explored by any cultivators of the universe.

Of course, many cultivators explored the outskirts of the Dark Region; however, no one

entered beyond that, much less entered the depths of the Dark Region.

”Anyway, letʼs focus on the first task issued by the Celestial Pillar.”

Putting aside his thoughts, Ajax focused on the current task.

Since the reward options for just bringing the Monster Vine into the Celestial Pillar were already good for an average cultivator, Ajax was curious about the other reward options where he had to actively work.

Guarding the Celestial Pillar from the other participants was not an easy task...at least not easy for the average Emperor Realm Cultivator; however, it was not hard at all for Ajax. Whatʼs more, there is even Siora who could be compared to the elders of the top five sects or even more powerful than them.

ʼI wonder how much my Viny will grow by consuming the other Monster Vines.ʼ After a few moments, a group of cultivators rushed towards the Celestial Pillar, making Ajax reveal a slight smile on his face.

As for who Viny is, it was the Monster Vine that Ajax was nurturing in his body.

He named it Viny and the Monster Vine in his Divine Inner World, Ajax named it Thorny because, in its garden form, the Monster Vine developed Thorns around it to protect itself

from wild predators.

ʼI wonder whether Viny can devour and digest the incoming Monster Vines directly?ʼ Although Ajax got the information about the Monster Vines, he hasnʼt fed or witnessed how the Monster Vine devours other Monster Vines.

So, he was curious about it.

Nevertheless, he informed the Monster Vine wrapped around his arm, ”Viny, there comes a feast for you.”
