New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1538  Deal with the Auction Manager

For now, Ajax didnʼt want to attract too much attention from the five Demonic Emperors and thatʼs why he decided to avoid the normal demon worlds for now.

ʼMy exploration teams and the devour eagle kings were already destroying so many smaller demon worlds.ʼ

After sending away Westin, Alder and his special demonic avatar, Ajax silently muttered to himself,

ʼSince they were not as valuable as the normal demon worlds and there were thousands of smaller demon worlds in this universe, it will not attract the attention of the demon emperors…at least for now.ʼ

ʼMoreoever, I am already planning for the Golden Demon Emperor. So, it is better to not waste any time on conquering a normal world.ʼ

With that thought in mind, Ajax went back into the protectorʼs place and got ready for tomorrowʼs auction.

...

On the same day,

In the traderʼs realm,

Ajax didnʼt waste his time in the low-level auction house; instead, he directly entered the mid-level auction house in the mid-level traderʼs realm and went straight to the manager.

”Respected Trader, what can I help you with?”

The manager of the mid-level auction house was a humanoid Golden dragon, who respectfully asked Ajax.

”I am planning to sell a smaller world core.”

Since his goal in entering the traderʼs realm one day before the auction date was to put an item on the auction list.

Therefore, he didnʼt waste any time and directly started his purpose of visit.

”Smaller world core?”

The auction manager was surprised to hear Ajaxʼs words and hurriedly invited him to a vip room of the auction house.

”Respected trader, why donʼt you drink this mind-calming tree before discussing the details of the item?”

The world cores are as rare as the plant essence and the manager has strict orders that he has to give a VIP treatment when someone comes to sell items like world cores and the plant essence.

”Sure.”

Ajax didnʼt reject it as he liked the taste of it and started speaking about the details, ”Are there any other world cores for tomorrowʼs auction?”

”Th–this….”

The auction manager hesitated for a moment before replying, ”There is one. As you might have heard, the world conquering sect had already deposited the item with us.”

Since the world core is a valuable item, the auction house used its marketing strategy to release information about the world core through its unofficial network to increase the number of sales for their auction houseʼs tickets.

So, Ajax already knew about it and nodded his head in understanding.

”At what position did the world conquering sect request you to auction it?”

Ajax didnʼt come to the auction house without a plan. So, he asked at what position the auction house would be selling that world core.

”Sorry to say this, respected trader but I am not allowed to reveal such information before the auction.”

The manager looked at a mirror that was on one of the walls of the room and shook his head.

”Fine then. It looks like the mid-level auction house didnʼt want to maximize their profits.”

Seeing the hesitation on the managerʼs face, Ajax stood up and decided to leave.

”I thought of providing a smaller world core for your every auction. It looks like the low-level auction house will agree to my request and earn profits in the long term.”

Ajax learned from Elder Boron that as long as you show enough profits to some business, they would agree to whatever you say without any hesitation.

Therefore, he decided to use the teachings he learned in his childhood now.

”What? A steady supply of the smaller world core for the long term?”

The manager hurriedly stood up from his place and stopped Ajax, ”Respected trader, please sit down. Letʼs talk more about it and I will agree to answer your every question.”

ʼLooks like Grandpa Boron was right.ʼ

Ajax revealed an excited smile in his heart and started discussing his offer for the mid-level auction house.

The more profits the auction house generates, the higher the commission that its manager gets. So, of course, he was tempted by Ajaxʼs offer of providing the smaller world cores for the long term.

ʼThankfully, the world conquering sect acts arrogant and wants to monopolise the world cores.ʼ

Soon, Ajax found out the real reason why the manager was willing to agree to Ajaxʼs deal and care less about the world-conquering sect.

It was because the world-conquering sect was not regular in supplying the world cores and even when they have enough, they would go to the other auction houses which gives them the least possible commission fee for their items.

There were even times that an auction house paid the world-conquering sect just to sell their world core through their auction house.

”Donʼt worry. Since I promised and even signed the contract with you, I will not go back on my words.”

Ajax assured the manager once again before leaving the auction house with an excited smile.

ʼNot only he waived off my commission fee for the world core, he even promised me to give a 10 percent discount on one item for every two items I buy.ʼ

Ajax also asked the manager to collect the information on the auction items for both the low-level and mid-level auction houses beforehand so that he would have an easy time visiting the auction house.

ʼSince everything is settled, I just have to wait for tomorrow.ʼ

Soon, Ajax left the traderʼs realm.

ʼWorld conquering sect, it looks like your monopoly over the world cores will come to an end soon.ʼ

On the other hand, the manager chuckled to himself as he waited to see the expression of the cultivators from the world-conquering sect in tomorrowʼs auction house.

....

Next day,

In the mid-level auction house,

The auction house was filled with powerful cultivators from various worlds as the beautiful succubus started the auction.

”Letʼs start the auction with a world core. The initial bid for the world core is one million traderʼs tokens.”
