Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 1816: Chapter 608: Negotiating with the Demon Lord, Cao Xing’s Conditions

He previously thought that only deities like Dem and the Light God, who were trapped in the Nether Abyss, could come over.

It seems that not only the Nether Abyss, but other planes also have certain existences that can take advantage of this opportunity to sneak in.

At that time, the situation will surely be more chaotic than imagined.

The Demon Lord’s pupils flickered with ghost fire, then replied, ”That’s right, but it’s not that easy.”

”For existences like us who don’t belong to this world or have been expelled from it, breaking through the World Barrier is a very difficult task.”

”The rules of this world limit us, even if we forcibly break through the World Barrier, we will be detected by the rules and get sanctioned and punished.”

Cao Xing’s eyes showed a thoughtful expression.

The Demon Lord’s words revealed a lot of information, and they also let Cao Xing know why he needed the Light Seed corpse.

”So... you need a corresponding vessel to avoid such sanctions?”

”That’s right.” The Demon Lord admitted frankly.

Cao Xing fell into silence once again.

The Demon Lord said softly, ”Cao Xing, I know your current situation can be said to be very unfavorable.”

”The Bloody Army and the Watchers are united, with more than one demigod.”

”The Human Empire is under attack and currently has no spare energy to help you fight against the Bloody Army.”

”Once Dem arrives, your situation will worsen, but I can help you block him.”

”Think it over, Cao Xing, we don’t have to be enemies, don’t you think?”

The Demon Lord’s voice was deep and resonant, as if it came from the depths of the soul, bringing a strong sense of enchantment.

Although Cao Xing wasn’t enchanted, he still seriously considered his words.

Clearly, the Demon Lord knows a lot, including why the Human Empire hasn’t sent demigod reinforcements.

Although it was blocked by the system, it can be roughly inferred that some powerful existence or force has occupied the top human powers.

Cao Xing said slowly, ”As far as I know, the deities in the Nether Abyss have basically been stripped of their divine nature, and at most possess demigod strength.”

”With your strength, you can only block him?”

Upon hearing this question, the green ghost fire flickered.

The Demon Lord knew this was Cao Xing probing him.

But he didn’t mind, and replied indifferently, ”My own strength is naturally far beyond that of a demigod.”

”However, due to the limitations of the World Barrier, even during periods of rule turbulence, no beings above demigod level can descend.”

”This time, only a clone of mine will go, that’s all.”

”However... even a clone is more than enough to deal with someone like Dem.”

Upon hearing this, Cao Xing nodded in realization once again.

And he fell into thought once more.

Nightmare God Dem is indeed a considerable threat.

Moreover, such former deities, even when reduced to demigod status, are certainly not mere demigods.

At the very least... they are definitely stronger than the Watcher Leader or Blood Commander.

On my side, the only demigod power lies with the Lizardman Clan Leader.

And he was forcibly elevated to this level.

If someone could help deal with Dem at this time, the pressure on him would indeed be much less.

Cao Xing looked up and asked, ”How am I supposed to trust you?”

The Demon Lord’s green eyes brightened a bit knowing Cao Xing was tempted.

”As I said before, all you need to do is give me the Light Seed corpse, and I will promise you as the Demon Lord to deal with the Nightmare God.”

Cao Xing shook his head and said, ”Verbal promises are meaningless, I need actual displays.”

The Demon Lord was silent for a moment, Cao Xing was more astute than he imagined.

”Then tell me, how are you willing to trust me?”

He returned the question to Cao Xing.

Cao Xing pondered for a moment, then said, ”Swear by the Rule Contract, promise to help me deal with Dem after his arrival, and not hurt me or my allies.”

The other side was silent for a moment and said in surprise, ”I didn’t expect you to know such an ancient Rule Contract.”

Cao Xing: ”How about it, are you willing?”

Demon Lord: ”...”

The atmosphere was once again somewhat silent, the Demon Lord did not immediately agree.

Clearly, he had some thoughts before, maybe the idea of backstabbing Cao Xing.

But now, if he swears by the rules, he must fully comply with the contract’s content, or he will suffer the rule’s punishment.

The conditions Cao Xing put forth can be said to have caught the Demon Lord’s vital point.

But compared to being an Otherworldly Lord, coming to this world is more important to him.

The Demon Lord directly replied, ”Alright, I can promise you.”

Under this Ghost Demon Shield, the group of demons seemed a bit surprised.

It seemed they didn’t expect their Demon Lord to agree to such terms.

Cao Xing saw this and didn’t hesitate.

Directly learned the Lizardman Clan Leader’s gesture and waved the Magic Wand.

A moment later, a glowing Contract Scroll appeared before him.

Cao Xing began to input the contract content.

After everything was done, he looked up and said, ”Swear.”

The Demon Lord, after seeing the contract content, pondered for a while.

Then said, ”The contract content needs modification, you must add a prefix to all the conditions: ’During the Bloody Chaos, I will not attack you or your allies’, not ’In the future, I must not attack you or your allies’.”

”Little fellow... calculating against me is not good.”

Cao Xing looked speechless, his little trick seemed to be seen through...
