Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 1044: Chapter 1044 Streak

Ashley’s lips parted as if to speak, but Ross stepped forward before she could.

His hand reached up, brushing a strand of hair from her face. The touch sent a shiver down her spine.

And then, without another word, he kissed her.

”Hmmmm...” Ashley’s muffled sound broke through the silence as her hands came up to his chest, gripping his shirt.

The kiss deepened, slow at first, then hungry—filled with the longing and guilt they had both carried for weeks.

When Ross pulled her closer, she didn’t resist.

The door closed behind them, shutting out the cold, desolate world.

From that night onward, they found each other again and again—every night, without fail.

It wasn’t just about lust anymore.

It was survival, connection, the need to feel human in a world that had forgotten what that meant.

Their bodies fit together like they had been made for one another.

They made love not out of desire alone, but out of desperation—a fragile attempt to hold onto warmth, life, and the faint illusion of normalcy amid chaos.

In that damned, zombie-infested world, they became each other’s refuge.

To anyone who might have stumbled upon them, they would have looked like newlyweds—two souls lost in each other’s embrace, their whispers and sighs filling the cold nights.

But beneath that passion lay something deeper: guilt, longing, and an unspoken promise that neither of them dared to voice.

Because in a world where death lurked behind every shadow, love—no matter how wrong or fleeting—was the only thing that still felt real.

From that moment on, Ashley always opened the door for Ross.

The first few times, she hesitated—heart pounding, fingers trembling on the handle—yet the moment she saw him standing there, tall and calm as ever, her resolve melted away.

Soon, it became routine.

She stopped locking the door altogether, leaving it slightly ajar as if silently inviting him in.

Each night, without fail, Ross came.

Sometimes he would knock, other times he’d simply step inside, finding her waiting by the couch or lying awake in bed, unable to sleep until she felt his presence.

The nights they shared were long and full of heat—filled with laughter, whispers, and the kind of closeness that words could never capture.

The world outside no longer mattered.

It was as if, for those hours, they existed in a space that belonged only to them.

No fear, no judgment—just the comforting rhythm of two people who couldn’t stay away from each other.

For a month, their secret affair burned quietly in the dark.

To others, Ashley’s life seemed unchanged, but behind closed doors, her nights were painted with stolen kisses and the warmth of Ross’s arms.

And though she told herself not to fall too deeply, it was already far too late.

Each night made her heart ache more—for what they had, and for what could never fully be.

One quiet evening, as dawn began to peek through the curtains, Ross lay beside her, watching her breathe. He reached over, brushing his thumb along her cheek before speaking.

”You should come with me,” he said gently. ”I’d love for everyone to meet you.”

Ashley’s eyes fluttered open, the words sinking into her like a sudden weight.

”I don’t know about that, Ross,” she murmured, sitting up slightly.

”It just feels... daunting. You already have so many women with you. I don’t even know how you find time for them, since you’ve been spending all your nights here—with me.”

Her tone wavered with guilt.

She had known from the beginning that Ross’s life was far more complicated than hers.

He wasn’t a man who belonged to one woman; he carried the hearts of many.

Still, she couldn’t stop herself from wanting him.

Ross smiled softly, his expression calm and reassuring. ”They’ll understand. Trust me.”

Ashley stared at him, her thoughts tangled. Could it really be that simple?

She imagined walking into his world—meeting the women who shared his affection, seeing the children who bore his features.

The thought made her chest tighten.

”Not yet,” she whispered after a long pause. ”It’s still too early. My son, Daniel... he wouldn’t understand. I just—need more time.”

Ross sat up and took her hand, his touch warm and steady. ”Time,” he repeated softly. ”I can give you that.”

”Promise me,” she said, meeting his eyes. ”Promise me you’ll keep this between us until I’m ready. I want to be the one to tell Daniel... when the time comes.”

He nodded without hesitation. ”No problem. If that’s your wish, I’ll respect it.”

Ashley exhaled, a mix of relief and sadness crossing her face. Ross leaned closer, his breath warm against her skin as he kissed her gently on the lips—a slow, lingering kiss that said more than words ever could.

When they finally pulled apart, Ashley rested her head against his shoulder.

The silence that followed was soft and heavy, filled with the quiet understanding between two people caught between love and reality.

Outside, the first light of morning began to spread across the horizon, painting the world in gold.

Ashley knew the day would come when she’d have to make a choice—but for now, she wanted to stay here, in this fragile peace, where everything felt simple and real.

And as Ross held her close, she closed her eyes and allowed herself, just for that moment, to believe that their secret world could last forever.

Of course, this wasn’t a difficult task for Ross. Once Ashley had fallen into his arms, her fate was sealed.

He had a way about him—an effortless dominance that drew people in and made escape impossible.

Even if wings sprouted from her back, she wouldn’t be able to fly far from him.

There was something magnetic about Ross Oakley, something that made resistance feel pointless and surrender almost natural.

With that particular ”challenge” now behind him, Ross allowed himself to relax for the first time in days.

The bunker—a steel fortress buried beneath layers of reinforced concrete—had kept him safe through the chaos outside, but to him, safety was never enough.

He wasn’t the type to hide while the world trembled. He wanted to move, to explore, to conquer.
