Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 1004: Chapter 1004 Paint

”I had fun. Let me know when you’re free next. I have all the time in the world for you, Karen,” Ross said smoothly as the dinner concluded.

He was already turning away, his broad shoulders moving with a relaxed confidence that made her pulse skip.

He didn’t linger, didn’t offer to see her home, didn’t attempt any of the sly tactics she had anticipated.

He simply moved with that effortless ease that made him seem untouchable.

”Wait!” Karen called, the sharpness of her voice betraying the nervous flutter in her chest.

She could hardly believe the audacity of this man.

She had imagined underhanded tricks, subtle attempts to lure her to one of the private rooms, some carefully calculated scheme to prolong the night.

Instead, he acted as if nothing mattered, as if her reaction held no weight at all.

Her cheeks burned, the warmth from the wine she had sipped during dinner heightening her awareness of herself.

She looked at him, tipsy and flushed, and was shocked at how beautiful she appeared in that moment—even to herself.

The dress she had chosen now seemed to accentuate every curve, every line, and she could feel the heat of his gaze lingering, even as he acted nonchalant.

Her pulse quickened, betraying the careful control she had tried to maintain all evening.

”Hmmm?” Ross turned, one brow arching with lazy amusement, that subtle, knowing expression that made her stomach clench.

There was no need for him to wait; he had already recognized the shift in her demeanor, the softening of her resolve.

Karen swallowed hard, her lips parting, heart pounding.

She had rehearsed this moment a hundred times in her head, imagining the perfect words, the perfect control.

Yet now, standing mere feet away from him, every carefully plotted thought evaporated.

Her voice was barely audible, trembling with a mix of defiance and need: ”I want you to come with me.”

And then she bolted, half-running, half-gliding across the marble floor toward the elevator.

Her heels clicked against the polished tiles in a rhythm that made her heart race even faster.

She could feel Ross following almost immediately, calm, composed, silent—his presence behind her a steady, undeniable force.

Every step she took felt electrified, every glance back revealing the unspoken power he held over her.

The elevator ride up was mercifully silent, though every second stretched interminably.

Karen could hear her own breath, uneven and quick, and the faint sound of Ross’s footsteps behind her, steady and unhurried, like a predator confident in its control.

The air between them was charged, thick with tension that made her skin tingle.

She tried to steady her racing thoughts, tried to remind herself that this was her plan, her test—but even as she attempted to rationalize, she knew the truth: something irreversible was already unfolding.

By the time the elevator doors opened, Karen’s anticipation had become almost unbearable.

The hallway beyond was quiet, dimly lit, and intimate, amplifying the sense that the world had narrowed down to just the two of them.

Ross stepped out behind her, his presence undeniable, his every movement deliberate yet effortless.

She could feel him close without needing to see him, the faint brush of air carrying the subtle warmth and scent that made her knees weak.

Her heart hammered in her chest as she reached her door, fumbling slightly with the key.

Ross remained silent, patient, a calm observer to her nervous energy.

She could feel his gaze on her as she turned the lock, and even without a word, it was enough to make her shiver with anticipation.

Every instinct in her screamed to resist, to regain control, yet another part of her—a part she refused to name—thrilled at the thought of what might happen once the door closed.

When she finally stepped inside and turned, Ross was there, steady and composed, waiting.

The silence that fell between them was heavy, electric, and full of possibilities.

Karen’s chest rose and fell rapidly, her mind racing with conflicting thoughts.

She knew this was her moment, her test—but deep down, she also knew that the rules she had set for herself were already slipping away, leaving her entirely at the mercy of the man who had been chasing her for years.

Karen stepped into the room, her heels clicking softly against the polished floor.

The door closed behind her with a gentle click, shutting out the world beyond.

Her eyes fell on the big bed waiting for her, its soft, inviting sheets seeming to call her name.

She walked forward, each step deliberate, and then lowered herself onto the bed.

As she did, the deep slit in her blue dress spread open, revealing one long, creamy leg that stretched elegantly across the sheets.

The sight was more than enough to captivate any man, and Karen was acutely aware of it.

She kept her pose, breathing slightly heavier than usual, feeling the subtle rise and fall of her chest with each breath.

Her curves and soft skin were on display, a tantalizing invitation she didn’t need to speak aloud.

Ross didn’t move immediately.

He stood at the edge of the bed, watching her intently, his expression unreadable.

He didn’t make a sound, didn’t reach out, and yet the tension in the room was nearly unbearable.

Karen’s frustration grew as she felt the heat of his gaze on her body.

”Are you just going to stare at me?” she asked, her voice laced with a mixture of impatience and desire.

She couldn’t predict his actions, and the uncertainty both excited and unnerved her.

”I’m just waiting for an invitation,” Ross said smoothly, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. ”And now that I have it... don’t say sorry next.”

Without another word, he moved toward the bed.

The moment he leaned down, his broad frame covering hers, the air between them seemed to crackle.

He pressed his lips to hers, and a shiver of heat and anticipation ran through Karen’s body.

Every nerve seemed alive, every breath shallow and quick.

Her body reacted instinctively, trembling against him in a way she had only imagined, as if it had been waiting for this exact moment for years.

Time seemed suspended as she melted beneath him, wanting to surrender fully, wanting to give herself over completely.

Every imagined fantasy, every whispered thought of desire, now felt achingly real.

She had never anticipated that her body could respond so urgently, so completely, yet she couldn’t deny it.

And then, abruptly, the world shattered and changed for all of them.

Bang!
