Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 583 Artist

The movie was finally finished, leaving only the promotions and a long string of interviews.

Despite the hectic schedule, Nicole was given some downtime, and she knew exactly what she had to do with it.

She went home—not just to rest, but to finally tell Ian the truth.

She had rehearsed the words in her head a hundred times, but when she finally stood in front of him, her throat went dry. There was no easy way to say it, no gentle way to break his heart. So she just said it.

Ianʼs face froze. His expression was unreadable at first, but then came the shock.

”What?!” His voice rose, disbelief coloring every syllable. He looked at her as if she had just spoken a foreign language, as if he couldnʼt possibly have heard her right.

Nicoleʼs eyes welled with tears, but not for herself. She wasnʼt crying because she regretted it—because she didnʼt.

She was crying because she had hurt Ian, a man who had done nothing but love her. A man who had never deserved this.

”Iʼm sorry, Ian,” she whispered, her voice trembling.

Ian took a step back, shaking his head as if he could physically reject the reality she had just thrown at him. ”Youʼre sorry?” His voice cracked. ”Thatʼs it?”

She swallowed hard. What else was there to say? That she hadnʼt meant for it to happen? That she thought it would be just one night?

It would all sound like excuses. And the truth was, even if she had meant for it to be a single, reckless mistake, it hadnʼt been.

She had believed she could let Ross have her just once, satisfy her curiosity, and then move on.

She had told herself it wouldnʼt change anything. But she had been wrong. So, so wrong.

Ross wasnʼt just a fleeting indulgence. He was a storm that had torn through her life, upending everything she thought she knew about herself.

He had awakened something in her, something she couldnʼt ignore, no matter how hard she tried.

Going back to Ian? Pretending everything was the same? That was impossible now.

Forgetting Ross? That would be harder than swallowing the whole world.

”Fuck, Nicole!” Ian swore, his voice shaking with fury. In all their years together, he had never spoken to her like this—had never even imagined he would have to.

But now, the words tore from his throat, raw and bitter.

His life was supposed to be set. He had planned it all out so carefully. A stable career, a loving fiancée, a future filled with certainty.

But in the blink of an eye, everything had crumbled.

He had heard the rumors—whispers about Nicole and Ross, the stolen glances, the chemistry on and off set. But he had dismissed them outright.

Why wouldnʼt he? Nicole was his fiancée. They were engaged, planning a life together. And Ross Oakley?

Of course, he was going to be close to Nicole. He was her co-star in a massive production; naturally, the media would spin stories about them.

Ian had trusted her. He had believed in her, in their love.

And now, he realized that trust had been misplaced.

She had put a green hat on his head, humiliated him in a way he never thought possible.

His mind scrambled to process it, his heart ached, his entire body tensed as if trying to reject this cruel reality.

His soul—his very essence—struggled to reconcile the woman he loved with the one who had betrayed him.

He had given Nicole everything. His love, his care, his unwavering support. He had been patient, understanding, devoted. And yet, she had repaid him with this.

His fists clenched at his sides. His voice dropped into a low, dangerous growl.

”Did you two fuck already? Did that man fuck you, Nicole?”

Nicoleʼs breath caught in her throat. She had expected anger, but this?

This was worse. The pain in his voice made her chest tighten, made guilt coil around her like a vice.

She wanted to spare him. To lie, to soften the truth, to find a way to make it hurt less.

But there was no way. No matter what she said, the damage was done.

”…” She hesitated, and that hesitation only fed the fire in Ianʼs eyes.

”Answer me, goddamn it!” he roared, his voice shaking the walls.

Nicole flinched. Her throat felt tight, her hands trembled. There was no escape from this moment.

”Yes,” she whispered, barely audible. Then, forcing herself to meet his gaze, she said it louder. ”Yes. He did.”

The words hung in the air like a death sentence.

Ian staggered back as if she had struck him. His breathing turned ragged, his jaw clenched so tightly it looked like it might shatter. His world—the future he had envisioned—was gone.

And Nicole knew there was no taking it back.

”Ahhhhhhh!” Ian screamed, his voice breaking with raw agony. His entire body trembled, his mind refusing to accept the cruel reality forced upon him.

How had it come to this? How had everything he built—everything he trusted—crumbled so easily?

His breath was ragged, his chest rising and falling in sharp, uneven movements as he turned his blazing eyes on Nicole.

For the first time in his life, he felt a hatred so intense it nearly consumed him. He wanted to lash out, to make her feel the unbearable pain tearing through his heart.

For a brief, terrifying second, he considered it. His fingers twitched at his sides, his muscles coiling as if preparing to strike.

But even in this moment, when his entire world had collapsed, hurting her wasnʼt something he could bring himself to do.

Instead, he turned his fury on the room.

Bang!

Crash!

Bang!

A chair flew across the room, slamming into the wall with a deafening crack. A lamp shattered into a thousand pieces beneath his fists.

Drawers were yanked open, their contents strewn across the floor as he upended everything in sight.

He destroyed everything he could touch, as if by wrecking the room, he could somehow erase the betrayal, erase the hurt.

And yet, nothing he did could ease the suffocating weight pressing down on his chest.

Nicole stood frozen, her body stiff as she watched him unravel before her eyes. Tears streamed silently down her cheeks, but she didnʼt speak.

She didnʼt beg him to stop, didnʼt offer meaningless apologies. There was nothing left to say.

Her heart ached with guilt, but regret? No, she felt none.

She had made her choice the moment she surrendered to Ross.

Maybe she had lied to herself at first, believing it was a one-time mistake, but deep down, she had known.

She had known the moment Ross touched her that she could never go back to the life she had before.

Ross had awakened something inside her—something she couldnʼt ignore.

Ian had been good to her. Kind, loving, devoted. But that life, that version of herself, was gone.

She had chosen Ross.

And no matter how much pain she had caused, no matter how much destruction lay in her wake, she would stand by that choice.

Her life had changed the moment she met Ross, and there was no undoing it now.

She would leave tonight. And this time, it would be for good.

After some time, Ian finally calmed down—at least on the surface. His body felt heavy, as if the weight of the betrayal had seeped into his very bones.

He slumped onto the couch, his elbows resting on his knees, and buried his face in his hands. His fingers dug into his scalp, as if he could physically rip away the nightmare consuming him.

But it wasnʼt a nightmare.

It was real.

No matter how much he tried to block it out, the images forced their way into his mind—haunting, taunting.

Nicole.

Ross.

Together.

The woman he had loved, the woman he had imagined a future with, the woman he had once trusted with every part of himself—wrapped in the arms of another man. Letting another man touch her, kiss her, claim her.

Ian squeezed his eyes shut, his nails digging into his palms. He wanted to scream again, to rage, to destroy more things, but what was the point?

Nothing would change the reality staring him in the face.

When he finally lifted his head, he was startled to find Nicole still standing there.

His jaw clenched. His heart pounded.

Why?

Why was she still here?

Did she think he would forgive her? That they could talk this out? Did she expect him to beg her to stay, to fight for a love she had already trampled over?

The very sight of her standing there, silent and composed, filled him with a fresh wave of disgust.

The pain twisted inside him like a knife, and before he could stop himself, the words came spilling out, laced with pure venom.

”Go away now, slut. I donʼt need you here.”

The moment the words left his lips, the room seemed to grow colder.

For the first time, Nicole flinched, if only slightly. But she didnʼt react the way he expected. She didnʼt cry. She didnʼt plead. She didnʼt even look angry.

Instead, she simply accepted it.

She stood there for a moment longer, her eyes flickering with something unreadable. Regret? Guilt? Or was it just finality?

Ian didnʼt know. And he didnʼt care anymore.

Finally, in a calm, measured voice, she said, ”Goodbye, Ian.”

And just like that, she turned and walked away.

No hesitation. No second glance.

Ian sat frozen as the door clicked shut behind her.

It was over.

Just like that, the woman he had once dreamed of marrying, the woman who had been his entire world, became nothing more than a ghost of his past.
