Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 472 Mellow

William ran his tongue along his gums and nearly gagged. Empty spaces. Jagged remnants of what had once been his teeth.

A fresh wave of nausea washed over him as he fought the urge to vomit.

Brandon knelt beside him, gripping his hair and yanking his head back so their eyes met.

His grin was cruel, his voice dripping with mockery.

”Cross my boss again,” he said, his tone almost casual, ”and next time, Iʼll take something more… permanent.” He leaned in closer, his breath hot against Williamʼs ear.

”Maybe you donʼt like that dick of yours anymore, huh? Maybe youʼre tired of seeing it?”

William shuddered, too weak to even respond. Every inch of him was screaming in agony, his body broken beyond recognition.

He wanted to fight back, wanted to say something, but all he could do was tremble.

Brandon let go of his hair and stood up, stretching as if the entire ordeal had been nothing more than a workout.

He took one last glance at William, smirked, and strolled out the door, leaving behind nothing but a bloodied mess.

William lay there, barely clinging to consciousness. His vision flickered in and out, his mind swimming in a haze of pain.

He knew recovery wouldnʼt be quick. Wouldnʼt be easy.

And that was exactly what Ross wanted.

While William lay broken and helpless, Ross would have all the time in the world to win over Amy.

”What did you do to William?!” Amy demanded the moment Ross arrived on Tuesday, her tone sharp with accusation.

Ross blinked at her, feigning innocence. ”What do you mean? I didnʼt do anything.”

”Liar,” Amy snapped. ”He called me and said heʼs taking time off from school. This came out of nowhere, so youʼre the only reason heʼd do this.”

Of course, she wasnʼt wrong. William needed time to recover from his injuries and fix his dental health after what Ross had done to him.

Ross simply shrugged. ”I really donʼt know anything, but if youʼve spoken to him, then heʼs alive and well. No need to panic. Anyway, how about dinner?”

Amy let out an exasperated sigh and shook her head, but in the end, she had no choice but to go along with him.

She didnʼt have a driverʼs license yet, and taking an Uber wasnʼt an option—Ross had made sure of that by blocking ride services from picking her up at school.

”No thanks. Iʼll take the bus.” With that, Amy turned and walked off, her frustration clear in every step.

Ross, of course, followed her without missing a beat. ”Oh, I just remembered—I need to take the bus too. Letʼs go together then.”

The next day, Amy once again took the bus home, determined to avoid Ross.

But when she stepped inside her house, she was immediately greeted by the rich aroma of freshly cooked food.

Standing in the kitchen, wearing a full cooking garb, was none other than Ross. He turned to her with a casual smile.

”Right on time. Dinnerʼs ready.”

Amy had no choice but to eat. This setup continued for over a month—daily outings that felt like dates, though neither of them explicitly called them that.

They spent nearly every day together, talking, laughing, and simply enjoying each otherʼs company. Ross never crossed any lines.

He didnʼt touch her, didnʼt flirt aggressively, and never once attempted to kiss her. Instead, he acted like the perfect best friend, always present but never pushing.

At first, Amy remained distant, barely speaking to him. But as time passed, she began to relax, letting down her guard.

She found herself talking more and more, engaging in conversations that stretched late into the night.

And that was all they did—talk. No pressure, no expectations, just endless conversations that chipped away at the walls she had built around herself.

Meanwhile, William had finally recovered from his injuries. After more than a month of healing, he and Amy met up to reconnect, eager to return to how things used to be.

But that same afternoon, as if on cue, Ross arrived to pick Amy up.

”Dinner?” Ross asked casually, his gaze briefly shifting to William.

The moment their eyes met, William tensed. He got the message loud and clear.

”I just remembered I have something else to do, Amy. Iʼll see you tomorrow, okay? Love you, bye.” William blurted, his voice rushed and uncertain.

Without waiting for her response, he turned on his heel, got into his car, and drove off without a second glance.

Amy sighed, shaking her head. ”You scared him. Heʼs afraid youʼll beat him for the third time.”

Ross smirked. ”A man who canʼt even protect his woman isnʼt worth loving, Amy. Remember that.”

Amy frowned. ”Whatʼs the point of fighting? You and your men are just too strong. If you were in his shoes, what would you do then?”

Rossʼs smirk widened into a confident smile. ”I would die before I let another man take my woman.” His voice was unwavering, filled with certainty.

”Heʼs not man enough for you, Amy. Sooner or later, youʼll realize that… and when you do, youʼll come to me yourself.”

There was something maddeningly self-assured about him, as if he had already foreseen the outcome of this game they were playing.

And perhaps, deep down, Amy knew he wasnʼt entirely wrong.

The routine continued for six more months.

During that time, Ross dominated the basketball world, winning his fifth NBA championship ring.

His fame soared, his name becoming a legend in the sport. And all the while, Amy remained in his orbit, seeing him almost every single day.

Slowly but surely, she was falling for him.

How could she not? With how often they were together, even an ant would fall in love with an elephant.

Until one night, Rossʼs perseverance finally bore fruit.

After months of steady patience, endless conversations, and an unshakable presence in her life, Amy finally stopped resisting the inevitable.

That night, there was no more distance between them, no more hesitation.

The walls she had so carefully built around her heart crumbled as she looked at Ross—not as the overbearing man who had forced his way into her life, but as someone who had always been there, unwavering and relentless in his pursuit.

It wasnʼt grand or dramatic. There were no confessions, no words needed. It happened naturally, as if it had been meant to all along.

And Ross, knowing the game was finally won, smiled.
