Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 457 Castle

By April 2028, Ross Oakley had once again dominated the NBA, clinching another championship and bringing his total to four rings.

There was never any suspense—he had swept every series, going undefeated in both the playoffs and the finals. His reign was nothing short of legendary.

Of course, his once-perfect field goal percentage had taken a hit over the years. Not because of skill, but because opposing players had resorted to hard fouls in desperate attempts to stop him.

However, their tactics quickly backfired. Ross always retaliated, and the player who initiated contact always ended up worse off.

Over time, the league caught on. Coaches warned their players. Analysts whispered about it. Even the most reckless defenders grew hesitant.

No matter how hard they fouled Ross, he would always bounce back stronger, as if the pain never even touched him. But the ones who dared to get physical? They paid the price.

At least three NBA players had been forced into early retirement due to permanent injuries sustained in physical altercations with Ross.

At first, people brushed it off as a string of unfortunate accidents. But as the pattern continued, the narrative shifted.

The public knew now.

Ross had an uncanny ability to play to the cameras—to make his retaliations look unintentional, to act like the victim when, in reality, he was the executioner.

His opponents learned the hard way—going against him physically wasnʼt just dangerous. It was career suicide.

And so, a new nickname was born.

”Career-Ender Demon Ross.”

The title spread like wildfire, dividing fans and players alike. Some feared him. Others respected him. But Ross himself?

He merely shrugged it off.

As far as he was concerned, he only ever injured those who deserved it—those who planned harm against him first. He took no pleasure in hurting the innocent.

But for those who dared to test him?

Well, they had only themselves to blame.

One bright afternoon, Ross Oakley decided to take his children out on a shopping trip.

As he strolled through the luxurious mall, he carried Alexander, his youngest, securely in his arms while Alistair, Anya, and Adelyn walked beside him, their eyes darting excitedly from store to store.

The mall was bustling with people, yet a small army of puppet bodyguards trailed behind them, maintaining a discreet but unmistakable presence. No one dared approach Ross or his children unless invited.

”Father, I want that!” Alistair suddenly exclaimed, pointing at a massive remote-controlled sports car on display.

”Me too! I want that giant Barbie!” Anya chimed in, her hands clasped together as she gazed at the life-sized dollhouse set.

”I like that big teddy bear, Daddy. Buy it for me!” Adelyn added, her little hands clutching Rossʼs pant leg.

”I love cotton candy!” Alexander babbled, his tiny fingers reaching toward a vendor selling colorful bags of the sweet treat.

Ross let out a deep, hearty laugh. Spoiling his children was something he thoroughly enjoyed, and today was no exception.

”Alright, alright,” he said, ruffling Alistairʼs hair. ”Pick anything you want. Iʼll buy them all for you.”

His children cheered with delight, immediately running off toward their chosen items while Ross walked at a leisurely pace behind them.

Every toy, doll, and snack they pointed at was instantly purchased by his bodyguards, who efficiently carried the growing collection of shopping bags without complaint.

Everything was going smoothly—until something unexpected happened.

As they passed by the checkout counter of a high-end toy store, Alistair suddenly stopped in his tracks. His expression shifted from excitement to something more intense—a mix of wonder, curiosity, and deep fascination.

Ross followed his sonʼs gaze and quickly realized what—or rather, who—had caught his attention.

Standing behind the register was an exquisitely beautiful saleswoman.

She had a delicate, almost doll-like face, flawless fair skin, and eyes that sparkled under the storeʼs bright lights.

Even dressed in a simple store uniform, she carried herself with an elegance and grace that made her stand out.

Her beauty was undeniable—so much so that Ross privately thought that if she had a proper makeover, she could almost rival his wives in terms of looks. Read exclusive adventures at My Virtual Library Empire

Alistairʼs gaze remained locked onto the woman as if he had discovered the most valuable treasure in the entire mall.

Then, without hesitation, he turned to his father and made a shocking request.

”Father! I want her! Buy her for me, please!”

The store went completely silent.

Ross nearly choked on his own breath. He blinked, certain he had misheard, but Alistairʼs serious expression told him otherwise.

”That… We canʼt buy people, Alistair,” Ross finally said, struggling to keep a straight face.

But his son wasnʼt having it.

Alistairʼs brows furrowed, his little face twisting into pure confusion. ”But why? I thought you said I could get anythingI wanted, Father! I want her!”

The innocent yet incredibly bold declaration sent murmurs through the surrounding shoppers. Some chuckled in amusement, while others glanced at the saleswoman, who had turned a deep shade of red from embarrassment.

”Alistair,” Ross sighed, crouching down to meet his son at eye level. ”People are not something you can buy. They have their own lives, their own choices. Thatʼs just how the world works.”

”But that doesnʼt make sense!” Alistair stomped his foot in frustration. ”You bought a lot of moms before! You always bring new ones home! Why is this different?”

Ross coughed awkwardly. Some customers gasped. The saleswoman looked like she wanted the ground to swallow her whole.

”Son…” Ross cleared his throat. ”Thatʼs… uh… thatʼs not how it works.”

But Alistair wasnʼt convinced. His lower lip trembled, and in the next second, he burst into tears.

”Waaaaah! Thatʼs not fair! You said I could have anything!”

Ross pinched the bridge of his nose as his son threw a dramatic tantrum in the middle of the store.

The scene was equal parts adorable and mortifying.

Rossʼs bodyguards stood stoically, well-accustomed to handling much bigger crises, but even they looked like they were struggling not to react.

The saleswoman, on the other hand, was frozen in place, unsure whether to laugh or run away.

In the end, it took Ross several minutes of patient explanations to convince Alistair that people arenʼt objects to be owned.

After much effort, his son finally relented, though he still threw a few wistful glances at the pretty saleswoman as they left the store.

Instead, he settled for a massive toy castle, claiming he would build a kingdom and find his own ”queen” someday.

Ross shook his head, sighing.

”Like father, like son, huh?”
