Evil MC's NTR Harem

Chapter 424 Residue

Faith stepped out of her room and knocked on the door opposite hers.

”Come in, it’s open, Faith,” she heard a voice call from inside. She opened the door and found Ross watching a comedy movie on his computer.

He paused the video and stood up, still dressed in the jeans and shirt he had been wearing earlier. It seemed he had no plans to sleep that night, opting instead to binge-watch movies one after another. Experience new stories on .Côm

This sight made Faith smile; the notorious womanizer Ross Oakley appeared surprisingly normal. The thought amused her, but it paled in comparison to what she had planned for the rest of the night.

Ross stretched slightly, looking more relaxed than she had ever seen him.

”Is something wrong, Faith? Are you hungry? I could order some—” Ross began, but his sentence was cut short as Faith dashed forward and kissed him full on the mouth.

For a moment, Ross froze, clearly caught off guard, but his hesitation didn’t last long. His hands instinctively moved to her curvaceous hips, cupping them with ease.

Heaven help him, she was seductive beyond reason, and the boldness of her actions made his heart race.

”Mmm…” Their kiss lingered, a heated exchange that left them both breathless. As they finally pulled apart, their breathing heavy, words filled the charged space between them.

”So, this is your payback for your boyfriend’s cheating? I can’t say I disapprove,” Ross said with a sly grin before leaning in to resume the kiss, this time taking the lead.

Faith’s heart pounded as their lips met again, her mind racing as her carefully laid plan unfolded. She had been stewing over her ex’s betrayal for tonight, the sting of it sharp and unrelenting.

Ross pulled her closer, his fingers tracing patterns along her back as the kiss deepened. When they finally broke apart again, he studied her face, his gaze unreadable.

”You’re full of surprises, Faith. I never took you for the impulsive type.”

She smirked, a glint of mischief in her eyes.

”Maybe you don’t know me as well as you think you do.”

”Apparently not,” he murmured, his voice tinged with admiration. He gestured toward the bed.

”Want to talk, or should we just keep this… momentum going?”

Faith laughed softly, a sound that made his chest tighten.

”Why not both?” she replied, stepping closer. ”But let’s make one thing clear. This isn’t about my ex. This is about me—what I want, what I deserve.”

Ross nodded, his expression softening.

”Fair enough. And what is it you want, Faith?”

She leaned in, her lips brushing against his ear, her breath warm and trembling as she whispered, ”To feel alive again. To forget. To remember. I don’t care. I just want to forget everyone else and everything else and just be selfish for once.”

Faith’s voice cracked slightly, betraying the storm of emotions surging beneath her calm exterior. The weight of her words wasn’t lost on Ross.

He could see the vulnerability in her eyes, the silent plea for escape, for solace, for something that would make her feel whole again.

”Copy that,” Ross replied, his voice low and steady, but there was an edge of intensity that made Faith’s heart skip. He cupped her face gently, his thumbs brushing away an invisible tear.

”I’ll let you experience that and more. But you should know something, Faith. If you become my woman, I have no intention of letting you go. Ever. I’ll destroy anyone who stands in our way. You’re mine, Faith. Mine alone. And marrying you? That’s a given. It’s natural. But I’ll give you five seconds to back away if you’re not ready for this.”

His words weren’t just a declaration—they were a promise, one spoken with the certainty of a man who knew exactly what he wanted. And that was her.

Faith stared at him, her chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. She didn’t need five seconds. She didn’t even need three breaths.

”You have a strange way of proposing, Mr. Oakley,” she murmured, a faint, bittersweet smile tugging at her lips. ”I don’t know... I know I’m rushing into this, making decisions I might regret later. Acting on impulse in the middle of my pain. I know this might be wrong—so, so wrong. But right now?” She shook her head, her voice trembling as she confessed, ”Right now, I just don’t care anymore.”

With that, she kissed him again, pouring every ounce of her longing, her desperation, and her need into that kiss. Their lips moved in perfect harmony, igniting a fire that consumed the air around them.

She clung to him, as though letting go would mean losing the fragile lifeline he had thrown her.

Ross responded in kind, his arms tightening around her.

Slowly, he guided her to the bed, his movements careful yet deliberate, as though every step was a silent reassurance that she was safe with him.

When her back met the soft mattress, she opened her eyes, her gaze locking with his.

Ross stood above her, his gaze smoldering with unspoken promises. He reached for the hem of his shirt, pulling it over his head in one smooth motion.

Faith’s breath hitched as her eyes took in the defined planes of his chest and the way his muscles flexed with every movement. Next came his jeans, and then, finally, his boxers.

Her mouth went dry when she saw him fully revealed, her eyes widening in stunned silence. She had seen men in passing before, in films and scandals, but Ross was unlike anything she’d ever imagined.

”Are you planning to make love to me, Ross, or are you trying to scare me to death?” she joked nervously, her voice trembling as her eyes flickered back to his face.

Ross smirked, his confidence unwavering. He climbed onto the bed, hovering over her, and leaned down until their noses almost touched.

”Death isn’t here, Faith,” he murmured, his voice a soothing caress. ”Nor will it ever be with us. We’re going to live forever—in love—and savor every second of it.”

His words wrapped around her like a promise of eternity.

As he leaned down to kiss her again, all the doubts and fears that had weighed on her seemed to melt away, leaving only the heat of the moment and the electric connection between them.
