Chapter 251: Chapter 251: Plasma

Chapter 251: Plasma

”You guys evacuate first. I’ll catch up in a moment.”

Axel said this to the Tontatta Tribe.

At this moment, only a handful of people in the Donquixote Family could truly harm him.

Compared to protecting himself, protecting the Tontatta was much harder.

After hearing Axel, the little people of the Tontatta Tribe nodded in understanding and quickened their pace.

Just then, a young woman who had not yet reached adulthood suddenly appeared behind Axel.

Her arm had transformed into the shape of a cannon barrel, aimed directly at the back of his head.

”How dare you... how dare you...”

The girl’s voice carried a sob.

”You destroyed my home. I won’t let you get away with this!”

Without hesitation, she fired the shell from the cannon barrel in her hand.

The shell struck Axel’s head at point blank range.

However, the scene she expected, his head exploding, did not occur.

Instead, the shell that hit Axel was reflected back at an even greater speed, blasting the woman far away with it.

The Donquixote Family’s offensive did not stop because of this.

On the contrary, the girl’s attack became the opening act, and the onslaught intensified.

Thump.

”Destruction: Thousand Ton Vice!”

A hairy chested uncle with a fondness for crossdressing descended from the sky, falling with the momentum of a thunderclap as wild wind roared around him.

Axel looked up slightly at the man falling from above and lightly stepped aside, dodging with agile grace.

At the same time, in the instant before the uncle struck the ground, Axel lashed out with a kick and sent him flying like an enormous ball.

”Eeeek...!”

Machvise let out a strange whimper.

Not only had his Ton-Ton Fruit ability failed to work as an attack, but its power had instead been used by Axel.

The tremendous weight generated by his ability was converted into the force behind Axel’s kick, sending Machvise flying even farther away.

”Is he some kind of eek-eek monster...?”

Axel muttered to himself, then turned his attention toward the other members of the Donquixote Family.

At that moment, a combined physical assault came from three directions.

Dellinger’s Fish-Man combat.

Lao G’s G-Earth Fist.

Senor Pink’s Swim-Swim Fruit.

As Axel repelled Machvise, the three of them surrounded him and launched their attacks from different angles.

Fists and soles struck Axel’s body successfully.

Yet they could not affect him in the slightest.

They could not even make him budge.

Naturally, this was not because the attacks from three directions had canceled each other out.

Although they attacked from three different positions, the force behind their strikes was still directed toward him.

Even so, the near combined effort of the three was effortlessly withstood.

Axel did not even raise a hand.

His face remained expressionless.

But after the three finished their attack, they were all sent flying backward at extreme speed.

This was Vector Manipulation.

When facing enemies weaker than himself, it possessed absolute crushing power.

Whether it was the defense that left others helpless, or the overwhelming sense of powerlessness in terms of attack and speed, it covered every aspect.

In Axel’s words, it felt like a group of fresh faced beginners trying to raid the final boss.

They could not even break through his defense.

This result was not unexpected for the members of the Donquixote Family.

If Axel were that easy to deal with, he would never have been able to kill their Top Executive.

And it would have been even more impossible for the Young Master to be so wary of him.

Gladius’s explosive attack came next.

Countless stones were thrown through the air and transformed by Gladius’s ability into the equivalent of high explosive grenades, detonating wildly around Axel.

A wave of hot wind swallowed Axel, kicking up a shimmering haze of heat.

Yet the one who emerged from the flames was still completely unharmed.

”Don’t you all think this is getting boring?”

Axel spoke in a teasing tone.

At this moment, he was bathed in flames.

The red glow of heat reflected against his smile, while the fire around him seemed to drape over his body like a garment.

He looked like an elemental spirit commanding the flames.

”Boring?”

No one in the Donquixote Family could say such a thing.

The attacks they had poured all their effort into were, in his eyes, merely boring.

It was ironic.

But it was also the truth.

Even so, they were not without hope.

”I say, I say, what are you talking about?”

Trebol’s sticky voice rang out.

”This isn’t boring for us at all.”

Axel yawned like a sleepy child who had stayed up all night playing games.

Then he took weary steps forward, one step at a time.

”None of your attacks can do anything to this great me. At most, they add a little fun to my amusement.”

He smiled lazily.

”So, who’s going to play with me next?”

Step by step, he advanced in the direction the Donquixote Family members hoped for.

Slowly, he entered the position they had anticipated.

”Now!”

Almost every member of the Donquixote Family launched their attacks at the same moment.

Their actions were only meant to restrain Axel’s movement.

At that same instant, a powerful hurricane erupted from Axel’s body, blowing everyone around him away.

The source of the hurricane was the center of his palm.

”Is this person your hope?”

Axel slightly raised his hand, his expression as arrogant as a monarch inspecting his subjects.

His finger slowly pointed toward a fat woman standing atop the ruins, one who had forgotten to attack.

That was Giolla of the Donquixote Family.

Although her ability was not as broken as Sugar’s, it had a similar effect.

As long as someone was turned into a piece of art, they only needed to stall for time to drain away Axel’s life.

Ordinary pirates facing an enemy whose strength far exceeded their own would not even think of resisting.

They would choose to flee.

However, the officers of the Donquixote Family did not run.

At first, Axel thought it was because of Doflamingo.

Because in some ways, Doflamingo truly did treat his family members well, regarding them as actual family.

But when Axel sensed the person hiding behind the ruins, he slowly dismissed that thought.

So this was their hope.

From the very beginning, Axel had followed their lead.

But at the same time, he had quietly gathered the surrounding wind in his palm, waiting for this opportunity to shatter that hope.

Axel slowly raised his palm.

Brilliant light bloomed from within.

No longer suppressed, that light burst forth, accompanied by a violent sound.

It was a clamorous noise that enveloped and swallowed everything around it.

The violent wind from before was only the aftershock radiating from it.

In Axel’s palm was a small sphere of blue light.

This was plasma, gathered using the same method Accelerator had used in the original series.

The difference was that Accelerator had gathered the wind of all Academy City, while Axel had only gathered the wind within a range of several thousand meters.

However, that did not mean this move was weak.

After the wind from several thousand meters was compressed at an ultra high compression rate, the heat released made the temperature of the sphere reach two to three thousand degrees.

Although it could not compare to the original’s high heat sphere of over ten thousand degrees, this temperature was indeed higher than magma.

An ordinary person would dissolve the instant they touched it.
