Chapter 419: Chapter 232: Evaluation Team (Part 2)

”The Bloodline Altar is not just a trial site but also the key node for the energy balance of the entire Black Mist Jungle. Its collapse will lead to a continuous leak of Abyssal Energy. According to my estimate, within ten years, the entire Black Mist Jungle will be completely drenched in Abyssal Material, becoming a lifeless land.”

”What about the School?” Soron, though weak, still had sharp thoughts.

”Must relocate.” Hayek affirmed:

”In fact, I estimate that within at most two years, the School will be forced to completely move. And the first batch of evacuation work might begin in a few days.”

Ron listened silently. The news had very limited impact on him personally at this moment, but it was of great significance to the overall fate of this region.

”So, the destruction of the Bloodline Altar... will it be reported upward?”

Ron asked, the implied meaning quite clear—how would the Crystal Tower and the Court of Truth react?

Hayek understood his concern:

”You’re right, in a few days I’ll head to the Central Lands to report the specific situation. This is no small matter and requires discussion of strategies by the School Alliance.”

He looked at Ron, with a certain encouragement in his eyes:

”Speaking of that, since you have become an Official Wizard, there’s something you should know—there is a general airship service specifically for Official Wizards between regions.”

”General airship?” Ron raised an eyebrow slightly.

”Yes, as an Official Wizard, you can ride these airships for free. Of course, in return, you will also bear certain airship defense duties.”

Hayek explained: ”This is a convenience established by the Wizard World to promote exchange.”

Yuni added: ”It’s much safer than ordinary land or sea routes, especially on the way to the Central Lands. The dangers in Blackwater Bay and the Endless Sea connected to it are truly great, rarely do ships manage to navigate it.”

”It’s said that deep in the Endless Sea, ancient Wild Beasts reside, capable of devouring entire islands.”

Soron, though not in good shape, couldn’t help but interject: ”Moreover, the sea surface is shrouded in storms all year round, regular sailing is almost suicidal.”

Ron showed a keen interest in this geographical information. With the geographical knowledge he currently possessed, the overall structure of the Ring Abyss Continent Group still seemed full of mysteries.

”There’s something else you might find interesting.”

Hayek suddenly said, his tone carrying some probing:

”When you reach the Central Lands, it’s very likely that the Crystal Tower will send over an evaluation team to assess your Special Talent and academic achievements.”

Ron frowned slightly: ”Evaluation team?”

”Yes, this is a routine procedure for newly promoted wizards.”

Hayek explained:

”They will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your research results, bloodline traits, and personal abilities, and then give an overall ranking.

The higher the rank, the higher your status within the wizarding community, and you can also gain access to more and higher-level mysticism knowledge.”

Yuni nodded: ”The rarity and value of Primordial Wizards are self-evident. Through formal evaluation, corresponding status recognition and resource allocation can be granted.”

”Moreover,” Soron confidently added:

”Your achievements are already astonishing enough, having been promoted to Primordial Wizard at such a young age, coupled with those extraordinary talents across disciplines... I bet the evaluation team will pay special attention to you.”

A distant rumbling interrupted their conversation.

Everyone looked up, only to see the ground in the direction of the Bloodline Altar suddenly collapse, forming a huge pit.

Purple-black energy gushed out from it, like a volcano in eruption.

”It seems the space inside has completely collapsed.” Hayek’s expression turned grave: ”We must immediately return to the School’s central area to assist with the evacuation work.”

The sky over the Black Mist Jungle grew increasingly murky, and the shadow of the abyss had already enveloped this once prosperous School.

......

The evacuation work lasted for three straight days.

Under the organization of Hayek and other Masters, ordinary apprentices were sent to safe areas via large transportation means;

Some Advanced Apprentices were assigned to various key nodes to assist in collecting precious documents and equipment;

Members of the Candidate Wizard sequence were responsible for maintaining order and fighting against the constantly emerging abyss creatures.

Ron actively took on defense work in the most dangerous frontline area, using his newly acquired Primordial Wizard abilities to establish temporary energy barriers, buying valuable time for evacuation.

Of course, his zeal wasn’t purely out of gratitude to the School; on one hand, it was to train his new abilities, and on the other, it also served to continue charging the Stand-In Puppet:

[The Stand-In Puppet has fully absorbed energy]

[Current charging progress: 80%/100%]

With the charging progress obtained from the previously devoured Holy Disc, reaching 100% to unlock the Incarnation Form of the ’Glory Legacy’ was no longer far off.

[Next stage requires higher purity of Abyssal Energy]

On the evening of the third day, when the last group near the altar was safely moved, Ron finally returned to his workshop.

Opening the main door, a familiar herb fragrance wafted over.

Lilia, Dale, and Ailan had already packed up. Several large boxes were neatly placed in the center of the hall, evidently ready for departure.

”Back already.” Lady Allen wasn’t in her herb store.

The old lady sat in a rocking chair by the fireplace, her emerald eyes shimmering with calm light: ”The School’s evacuation work is finished?”

Ron used a magic trick to remove the dust from his cloak, nodding without feeling surprised by the arrival of this mentor:
