Chapter 401: Chapter 226: Wizard General Record_2

This is the natural manifestation after the qualitative change of Spiritual Power, requiring no deliberate effort, yet it allows the listener to sense an invisible majesty.

”There’s no need to call me that anymore.”

Hayek waved his hand, his tone becoming relaxed, and even a rare smile appeared at the corner of his mouth:

”From now on, we are already beings of the same level, just call me by my name.”

Judging from his tone, these words were not mere courtesy.

Ron’s heart moved slightly.

These words may seem simple, but they represent an important sense of ceremony in the Wizard World—acknowledging that he has officially stepped into the ranks of wizards.

He has been granted equal recognition in terms of status and courtesy, which is a silent respect.

”So, Senior Hayek, I want to know why I was summoned here.”

Ron got straight to the point, his gaze sweeping over every wizard present.

Finally, his eyes paused on a familiar elderly man, with a hint of doubt flashing in them.

Magnus noticed Ron’s gaze and nodded slightly in greeting:

”Ron Wizard, it’s been a long time.”

Although his voice was hoarse, it carried a reassuring gentleness:

”I came today solely to witness the official rise of a genius.”

Ron felt the goodwill emanating from the old man, and he slightly bowed in return:

”It’s an honor to meet you again, Master Magnus. After our last gathering, I seriously studied your ’Essentials of Medicinal Herbs’ and benefited greatly from it.”

A flash of surprise crossed Magnus’s eyes, followed by heartfelt joy.

As a scholar, the greatest recognition is having one’s work seriously studied and applied by the younger generation.

He nodded, the wrinkles on his face smoothing out with a smile:

”The young have good taste; although that book is not systematic enough, it indeed contains my years of practical experience.”

”Then, congratulations on your successful promotion to Official Wizard.”

Yuni nodded towards Hayek beside her and was the first to speak:

”Achieving promotion through the Path of Truth is a rare feat, especially for a wizard of your age, it can be described as ’world-shaking’.”

Her tone was filled with admiration, with a hint of scarcely noticeable reverence.

As a wizard who had traversed the traditional path, Yuni deeply understood the dangers and difficulties of the Path of Truth.

To successfully break through, one not only requires extremely high talent but also extraordinary Spiritual Power and willpower.

”Thank you.”

Ron replied succinctly while secretly observing the expressions and energy fluctuations of the three wizards.

He could feel that the three of them possessed similar energy characteristics.

It was a sense of freshness after purification, like having undergone a thorough baptism.

This characteristic was very similar to the ”blessing” he had generated, clearly indicating that the pure energy he released upon breaking through had already affected these Official Wizards.

”It seems my suspicions are correct...”

Ron realized this in his heart but showed no trace on his face.

This influence was both an advantage and could possibly bring a certain degree of risk, as overly powerful blessings would undoubtedly attract more attention.

”We summoned you here for several purposes.”

Hayek spoke sternly:

”Firstly, it is necessary to officially record your promotion. According to the traditions of the Wizard World, every newly promoted Official Wizard needs to confirm their identity in front of three or more witnesses.”

He waved his hand, and a roll of Parchment floated out from the cupboard by the desk, hovering in front of Ron.

The surface of the Parchment emitted a faint glow, with the edges adorned with intricate Runes, each Rune flickering slightly, as if containing some special power.

”Certification from the Wizard General Record.”

Ron immediately recognized this special document, an important certificate of Official Wizard status:

”Recording my name, advancement path, and date?”

”Precisely so.” Magnus nodded, a hint of solemnity appearing on his wrinkled face:

”This is not a binding contract but a form of witness and honor. After signing, your name will be recorded in the Wizard General Record, officially recognized as an Official Wizard by the Ring Abyss Continent Group. No matter where you go, you will receive the corresponding respect and rights.”

Ron’s gaze swept over the contents of the Parchment, while quietly activating ”Extraordinary Recognition,” carefully examining each line of text and any potentially hidden magic structures beneath them.

After his promotion to Official Wizard, the effect of this skill had also significantly improved, allowing him to capture subtle energy fluctuations and hidden Runes that might have been previously overlooked.

Every word in the contract flickered with a faint golden light, but Ron did not discover any mandatory or restrictive clauses.

This document, as Magnus mentioned, merely recorded his basic information and advancement method, with no hidden traps or constraints.

”I can sign it.” Ron nodded, but did not immediately take action: ”Is there anything else?”

Hayek exchanged a glance with Yuni and Magnus, then spoke sternly:

”We wish to know what your future intentions are.”

Ron raised an eyebrow slightly: ”Sorry, that doesn’t seem relevant to the certification.”

His tone was calm, but his gaze carried a hint of caution.

As a newly promoted Official Wizard, he instinctively maintained vigilance against any inquiry that might restrict freedom.

”Indeed, it is unrelated.”

Hayek candidly admitted, a flicker of understanding passing through his cloudy eyes:

”But as a member of the Black Mist School, we hope to understand the future direction of an Official Wizard emerging from our School, isn’t that reasonable?”

Hayek’s mind was far more complex than his surface calm suggested.
