Junior Sister, I Really Have to Control You

Chapter 39: Chapter 28: You Guys, Give Me the Qiankun Bags!

The next morning.

Sitting in his bedroom, Li Yinsheng was surprised to discover through his Divine Sense that Junior Sister Mu had already gotten up without waiting for him to call her. She was currently standing in front of the main hall, carrying the Cold Leaf Sword.

Leaning the Cold Leaf Sword to the side, Mu Xiaoyu straightened her hair and began to practice her martial arts and Breathing exercises against the faint morning light.

After practicing for a while, Mu Xiaoyu finally noticed that Li Yinsheng had appeared by the main hall at some unknown point.

”Senior Brother!” Mu Xiaoyu stopped her practice and slowly exhaled.

In the dim morning light, she stood facing Li Yinsheng after her brief session. Her small face was flushed, and her large eyes revealed a hint of seriousness and earnestness.

”Not bad. You’re very diligent today,” Li Yinsheng said with a smile as he walked over.

”Senior Brother, you’ve...” Mu Xiaoyu pursed her lips. ”Since you’ve already given me your Magical Artifact, it’s only natural that I work hard.”

”Giving her my Magical Artifact actually has such a miraculous effect?” Li Yinsheng thought with a sigh. ”If I had known earlier, I would have given it to her a long time ago!”

Meanwhile, in front of the main hall of the Yellow Crane Temple.

A tall and thin old man with snow-white hair and beard stood in the clearing. He wore a pitch-black Daoist Robe, its cuffs and hem outlined with simple cloud patterns woven from silver threads.

Behind him stood two Cultivators dressed in Yellow Crane Temple Daoist Robes, one on his left and one on his right. On the left was Yang, who had healed most of his external injuries and stabilized his internal ones at the Huichun Hall last night.

The other was a middle-aged Cultivator who looked slightly older than Yang, nearing forty, with a clean-shaven white face.

”Master,” the White-faced Cultivator said, bowing respectfully. ”Are we setting off for Xuanzhen Temple now to rescue Junior Brother Yang’s stolen Upper Grade Magical Artifact, the Cold Bright Sword, as well as the junior brothers and sisters who were detained while traveling with him?”

The way he spoke was peculiarly phrased, clearly meant to emphasize the two facts that Yang had his ”Upper Grade Magical Artifact stolen” and that his ”junior brothers and sisters were detained.”

Yang’s eye twitched, but he held back his temper and did not lash out.

This man, whose surname was Fang, was their master’s earliest True Disciple. However, Yang had snatched away the position of Direct Disciple that Fang was determined to get, and had even received an Upper Grade Magical Artifact as an exception from their master.

Because of this, Fang had always mocked him openly and covertly. Even when nothing was wrong, Fang would always try to stir up trouble. Let alone this time, when Yang was already in such a wretched state; naturally, Fang would seize the opportunity to ridicule him.

The tall and thin old man had no intention of helping his Direct Disciple out of this predicament either, as Yang had indeed thoroughly embarrassed himself this time.

He nodded and gave a hum of acknowledgment. Then, he took out a paper crane folded from a Yellow Talisman and tossed it into the air.

The Yellow Paper Crane expanded against the wind in mid-air. When its wings fully spread, it was nearly twenty feet long.

”Come up. Follow me to Xuanzhen Temple,” the tall and thin old man said. He floated up weightlessly and landed on the back of the Yellow Paper Crane.

Once his two disciples climbed up and stood firmly, the old man pinched a Technique. The Yellow Paper Crane soared into the sky, piercing through the strong winds as it sped toward Xuanzhen Temple.

On the back of the paper crane, the White-faced Cultivator watched the scenery below rapidly retreat and couldn’t help but sigh in admiration. ”Master’s Yellow Crane Flying in the Sky Technique is truly exquisite. At this speed, we’ll be able to fly over a dozen mountains and reach Xuanzhen Temple in just the time it takes to drink a few cups of tea, won’t we?

”Unlike certain people whose Cultivation is lacking. Even if they use an Upper Grade Magical Artifact to travel, their speed wouldn’t even be two or three-tenths of Master’s.”

Yang could finally no longer bear the mockery and spoke up. ”Senior Brother, your words are too disparaging. While my skills are indeed far inferior to Master’s, I definitely have at least two or three-tenths of his speed.”

”Is that so?” The White-faced Cultivator mocked even more vigorously. ”If you truly had two or three-tenths of his speed, how could you have ended up in such a miserable state yesterday? I heard from the junior sisters at Huichun Hall that if you had arrived any later, even your foundation would have been shaken...”

Yang’s face flushed bright red, rendering him speechless.

”Silence,” the tall and thin old man finally commanded. ”As Cultivators, although we must not inappropriately belittle ourselves, we absolutely cannot be arrogant and conceited, nor speak recklessly and underestimate our enemies.”

”Master is right to reprimand me,” the White-faced Cultivator quickly lowered his head.

”I have examined Junior Brother Yang’s injuries,” the old man continued. ”That junior from Xuanzhen Temple indeed possesses a fair bit of Cultivation.”

The tall and thin old man sighed. ”It’s a pity that such a promising young talent joined Xuanzhen Temple and lacked the destiny to become my disciple. Otherwise, in a few decades, our Yellow Crane Temple might have produced another Daoist ancestor.

”Then, I wouldn’t have to lose my appetite every day out of anger over you useless disciples.”

The two disciples lowered their heads and shrank their necks.

”Remember this, you two. Once we reach Xuanzhen Temple, obey my commands in everything. If I do not give you any instructions, neither of you are to speak a single word, let alone make disrespectful remarks.”

The tall and thin old man continued his reprimand, ”My trip to Xuanzhen Temple this time is not just to teach the junior a lesson, but also to reprimand Li before reasoning with him to resolve this feud.

”If you two dare to utter insolent words, needlessly create bad karma, and cause me unnecessary trouble, I will definitely not spare you wicked disciples when we return!”

With the gleaming example of such an exceptionally talented young man before him, the tall and thin old man found his two disciples increasingly displeasing to the eye.

Although the two of them felt dissatisfied in their hearts, their master had always been resolute and strict, keeping his word completely. Therefore, they did not dare to contradict him and submissively murmured their agreement.

Three cups of tea later, the Yellow Paper Crane flew to Xuanzhen Peak, deliberately gliding over the area where the Spirit Gathering Array had previously been constructed.

Looking down from above, the Yellow Crane Temple’s Spirit Gathering Array had already been completely dismantled.

On the ruins of the Yellow Crane Temple’s Spirit Gathering Array, three disciples dressed in Jade Altar Temple attire were busy constructing an Array.

”How audacious!” The White-faced Cultivator instantly flew into a rage. ”That brat actually dared to dismantle our Yellow Crane Temple’s Array!”

The tall and thin old man hadn’t expected the other party to act so decisively either. In just one night, they had torn down the Spirit Gathering Array worth a hundred thousand talismanic coins, delivering a fierce slap to the face of the Yellow Crane Temple.

He couldn’t help but feel a flicker of anger as well. ”This junior from Xuanzhen Temple is truly insolent!”
