My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 431: Chapter 285: A Carrier Vanishes Without a Sound, Preparing Heaven and Earth for the Ice Age

In the northern foothills of the Rocky Mountains, a cougar resting on a rock ledge appeared in his night vision. The great beast, 1.5 meters tall at the shoulder, was suddenly startled awake, only to be impaled by rock spikes that shot up from the ground.

Li Xiang, clad in the Giant Whale Saint Armor, swept past. The system’s reward had already arrived.

It was a saber-toothed mountain lion, a potential Tier Seventeen Extraordinary mutated beast. Of course, since the Apocalypse had not yet arrived, it was still just an ordinary wild animal.

Li Xiang received 1,700 Achievement Points, three units of the Tier Eight Spiritual Medicine ”Storm Core,” and a small Tier Fifteen ring, the ”Hurricane Tiger.”

This Extraordinary Spirit Ring was cyan-blue all over and shimmered with a faint light. Li Xiang gave it a try and found that a wave of his hand could conjure a small tornado filled with hundreds of Wind Blades.

When a Montana grizzly bear shattered a hundred-year-old spruce with its paw, Frost White Sword Qi had already pierced its heart. Li Xiang gained 1,800 Achievement Points and three units of the Tier Nine Spiritual Medicine ”Earth Bear Gall,” a miraculous healing remedy that increased the body’s regeneration rate by 200% after consumption.

He also received a set of Tier Sixteen ”Rock Soul Heavy Armor,” which resonated with the earth when worn and could absorb 30% of physical impact.

But Li Xiang’s standards were higher now; he barely gave items below the Saint Tier a second glance. He could only save them to bestow upon deserving followers later.

Deep in a Louisiana swamp, a five-meter-long alligator king clamped its jaws on Li Xiang, preparing to execute a death roll!

But then, the king of the swamp was stunned. It couldn’t roll. Instead, Li Xiang lifted it and swung it around casually, like a rag doll.

The ferocious alligator wasn’t very durable, it seemed. Li Xiang had it dizzy after just a few spins.

Immediately after, Li Xiang harvested 1,600 Achievement Points and three stalks of the Tier Eight Spiritual Medicine ”Mire Spirit Root.” It was a supportive spiritual medicine that could act as a universal antidote and enhance underwater perception.

He also got a set of Tier Fourteen ”Swamp Lord Scale Armor,” which provided the ability to breathe underwater and granted immunity to corrosive liquids.

On the plains of Wyoming, a herd of burly bison grazed leisurely. Li Xiang made a grasping motion with both hands, and his Earth Superpower formed a circular cage.

The bison herd charged the walls of their prison, but the ground suddenly collapsed beneath them. When the dust settled, only a deep pit marked with hoofprints remained on the prairie.

The herd numbered in the hundreds and would make for good meat. Among them were three potential Extraordinary individuals. Li Xiang gained 2,600 Achievement Points, nine Tier Six Spiritual Medicine ”Barbaric Power Fruits”—which could grant a short burst of double strength upon consumption—and two pairs of the Extraordinary Item ”Earthquake Battle Boots,” which could trigger localized seismic waves with a stomp.

In addition, ferocious beasts like the North American gray wolf, jaguar, grizzly bear, and bald eagle could not escape Li Xiang’s grasp whenever he encountered them.

Li Xiang rampaged across the American Continent, appearing and disappearing like a phantom. Moving at an extreme speed of Mach 11, he’d be in one state one moment and another the next, moving through them uncontested and reaping a bountiful harvest.

He collected eight to nine thousand spiritual medicines and nearly a hundred Extraordinary Items.

He also discovered several Bat Caves, which he naturally didn’t pass up. His Achievement Points account had already broken the three million mark. ’I should think about upgrading some of my other Superpower Runes,’ he mused.

While sweeping up wildlife, Li Xiang didn’t neglect American firearms and other weapons. He alternated between the tasks, enjoying himself immensely.

Seven levels beneath the Pentagon, all surveillance cameras suddenly shattered. Li Xiang strolled through a labyrinth of firearms as entire rows of GBU-12 laser-guided bombs, mounted on MQ-9 Reaper drones, vanished.

Batches of Boston Dynamics Spot robotic dogs, along with the 6.5mm Creedmoor rifles mounted on their backs, also disappeared.

Newport News Shipyard. Electromagnetic catapult tracks gleamed coldly in the moonlight. Li Xiang appeared at the front of a Ford Level aircraft carrier’s deck, the hum of the island’s nuclear reactor piercing the night sky. This war machine—337 meters long, with a deck width of 78 meters, and a total construction cost of 14 billion US Dollars—was about to complete its fitting out.

Its A1B nuclear reactors had a thermal efficiency approximately 30% higher than the A4W reactors used on the Nimitz Level carriers, while also being about 25% smaller in volume and nearly 20% lighter.

This nuclear power system could provide over 100,000 horsepower of continuous thrust. More importantly, it extended the nuclear refueling cycle to 25 years, reducing the carrier’s maintenance costs and non-combat-ready time.

An energy expert once explained to the media that it was a highly integrated shipboard energy management system. In its maximum power output mode, its generation capacity was sufficient to meet the electricity needs of a small city with a population of 70,000.

Li Xiang’s Underground City was designed for about 100,000 people. If he could get two of these carriers and hide them in a deep underground space, he wouldn’t have to worry about power. ’So much more convenient than building my own power plant.’

As for the internal electronics, various software programs, including backdoors and tracking systems, he would hand them all over to Jiang Cai’Er to hack and gain complete control over.

After all, during the Apocalypse, the seas would freeze over, rendering ships useless.

Bringing ships ashore was the inevitable trend.

This behemoth of a ship weighed a full 120,000 tons. Li Xiang’s current strength was only 220,000 jin, so he couldn’t even begin to lift it, not even after taking the newly acquired ”Barbaric Power Fruit.” However, he didn’t need to lift it. The ship was floating in the harbor. Li Xiang opened the mouth of his Otherworldly Warehouse wide enough, and with a single gulp, the massive vessel vanished.

The System’s Otherworldly Warehouse was a cube 512 meters on each side. There was still plenty of room, so it could easily fit.

Additionally, from the spare parts area, crates of MK15 Phalanx ammunition and F-35C engine components were transferred along with it.

By the time alarms blared across the naval base, the mysterious Armored Warrior had already vanished. He reappeared over the open sea, streaking just above the surface at an extreme speed of Mach 11, covering 1,800 kilometers in just eight minutes.

He then dove into the sea, where his Giant Whale Saint Armor transformed into the ”Sea-Stepping Spirit Whale Ship,” cruising leisurely through the deep ocean.

The Americans were going crazy.
