My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 136: Chapter 118: Li Xiang’s Blind Date

After playing with the fox and blowing the flute for a while, Jiang Cai’Er smoothed her hair and said, ”Brother, there’s one more really important thing I haven’t done!”

”What’s that?” Li Xiang asked curiously.

Jiang Cai’Er smiled sweetly. ”A haircut! You’ve cut everyone’s hair in the village, you can’t just leave me out, can you?”

Li Xiang laughed, hopped off the stone, and beckoned to her. ”Come on, come on. As long as you’re not afraid I’ll make it look like a dog chewed it up.”

”But you’re not a dog, Brother!” Jiang Cai’Er said with a deadpan expression.

Li Xiang: ”...”

Watching Li Xiang go to get his haircutting tools, the washbasin, the thermos, and so on, Jiang Cai’Er thought to herself, ’Brother, you’re not even as good as a dog. Er Huang has already bedded the Little Fox, and you still haven’t...’

’Pah, pah, pah, what am I thinking?’

Jiang Cai’Er’s fair face suddenly turned beet red.

Soon, Li Xiang had everything set up. Since he was cutting Jiang Cai’Er’s hair, he made a point to get a new towel.

He washed her hair, wrapped a clean cape around her, and then began to cut.

It had to be said, Li Xiang put a lot of effort into it. He spent over an hour trimming and blow-drying Jiang Cai’Er’s hair.

Especially the see-through bangs, a popular style in recent years. Li Xiang had done it for a few of the younger girls in the village before, but none had turned out as well as Jiang Cai’Er’s today.

It was mainly due to the experience he’d accumulated, which led to a god-tier performance this time. It made the already playful and cute Jiang Cai’Er look even more fresh and natural.

”You’re skilled enough to open your own shop! You’re better than a lot of the ’Teacher Tony’ stylists out there!” Jiang Cai’Er said, looking at herself in the mirror from the left and the right, thoroughly pleased.

”As long as you like it! I was worried I wouldn’t meet your expectations.”

”Mhm, mhm! From now on, you’ll be cutting my hair every year, my personal hairstylist brother!” Jiang Cai’Er smoothed her hair, her eyes crinkling into happy crescents. She saw Li Xiang start to clean up and quickly stopped him. ”No, no, no, let me give you a cut now!”

”What the heck? No way!” Li Xiang, of course, was against it and shook his head repeatedly. ”You’ve never even learned. What would it end up looking like?”

”Oh, so you’re looking down on me? Now I have to cut it!” Jiang Cai’Er came forward, quietly circled around behind Li Xiang, and hooked an arm around his neck while grabbing his hair with her other hand.

Li Xiang was quite tall, but wasn’t he bent over cleaning up right now? And so, Jiang Cai’Er’s sneak attack was a success.

”Stop fooling around. It wouldn’t be good if someone saw us.” Li Xiang felt an inexplicable panic because Jiang Cai’Er was pressed right up against his back. He could feel her soft curves.

”Who’s going to see? Huh? Where? Where?” Jiang Cai’Er looked left and right. The large backyard was empty. Grandma was sunbathing in front of the house, apparently chatting with a few village elders, but with the house in the way, they couldn’t see the back.

’Well, Er Huang and the Little Fox are behind the big stone doing who-knows-what. It doesn’t matter if they see, anyway.’

Li Xiang straightened up, trying to break free.

As a result, when he straightened up, he ended up lifting Jiang Cai’Er right onto his back. Li Xiang was five-foot-eleven, while Jiang Cai’Er was only five-foot-four, so her feet were instantly dangling in the air.

Jiang Cai’Er reacted quickly, wrapping her legs forward to lock around Li Xiang’s waist.

”Please, stop messing around.”

”Then are you going to let me cut it or not?”

”Fine, fine, fine! Just get down!” Li Xiang said helplessly, finally surrendering.

”Hee hee, I finally get to be a Teacher Tony!” Jiang Cai’Er was immediately fired up, ready to start washing and cutting Li Xiang’s hair.

”Wait, wait, let me teach you a few basic haircutting techniques!”

”Okay. Don’t worry, I won’t make you too ugly! I couldn’t bear to make you ugly!” Jiang Cai’Er patted Li Xiang’s head comfortingly.

”Such a cheeky girl.” Right away, Li Xiang began to teach her carefully, and Jiang Cai’Er learned with equal seriousness.

And so, it officially began.

It had to be said, Jiang Cai’Er was very gentle. When she washed Li Xiang’s hair, her scalp massage was incredibly comfortable.

While cutting his hair, Jiang Cai’Er didn’t just hack away randomly. Instead, she trimmed it lock by lock, very earnestly and meticulously.

Her fingers were as slender as spring onions, and she had a deft touch. The final hairstyle... hmm, it was good enough for a 9.5 out of 10!

”Cutting hair isn’t as hard as I thought. Of course, the main reason is that you’re just handsome to begin with, Brother!”

Jiang Cai’Er admired her masterpiece with satisfaction, then took the opportunity to pinch Li Xiang’s cheek. It was so supple. She thought, ’A man like jade on the path, a peerless gentleman. It’s not that I’m good at cutting hair, but that no hairstyle could possibly hide my brother’s stunning looks.’

”You flatter me, you flatter me. It’s not that dramatic.”

Li Xiang was, of course, handsome. He drank Spirit Wine every day, went to bed early and woke up early, got plenty of sleep, ate well at home, and even practiced a profound Breathing Technique to strengthen his body. How could he not be handsome?

His physique, his skin, his entire spirit and vitality—they were all more than ten thousand times better than before he quit his job.

Back in the big city, he had slaved away like a beast of burden, constantly working overtime and staying up late. He had to deal with all sorts of complex interpersonal relationships and was constantly getting PUA’d by his manager. He was mentally exhausted, his spirits were low, his diet was poor, and his body had no chance to recover.

Now, if he were to return to work in the big city, he could definitely charm countless professional women. If there were any high-ranking female executives, they might even get wicked ideas about ”unspoken rules” with him.

But Li Xiang would never go back to the neon-lit, debaucherous big city. That kind of life felt too distant from him now. Besides, the air quality in the city was poor, with too much exhaust from cars.

The jokes in his fan group about his Top Aunt wanting to be his sugar mommy weren’t entirely baseless.
