The Master and His Wealthy Fiancée

Chen Dong watched the newcomers with confusion. A group of about ten servants bowed in unison—what an impressive display.

”You must have the wrong person!” Chen Dong said.

”We are from the Chen Family. How could we possibly mistake the Eldest Young Master?” the Chief Steward said.

”The Beijing Chen Family?” Chen Dong asked again.

The Chief Steward said proudly, ”There is only one Chen Family in Beijing, and that is us. The Beijing Chen Family, without a doubt!”

A slight smile touched Chen Dong’s lips. ”The Beijing Chen Family... Then there’s no mistake. Lead the way.”

Chen Dong’s target for this trip was precisely the Beijing Chen Family. He sneered inwardly. ’I don’t know how they knew I was coming or why they’d send people to pick me up, but since they’re here, I’m not afraid to go.’

The Chief Steward, however, still had no idea he had picked up the wrong person. It was a misunderstanding that could have been cleared up by simply asking for a name, but the Chief Steward didn’t dare to speak the young master’s name directly. Under the Lady of the Chen Family’s management, the household rules were incredibly strict.

Chen Dong followed the group of servants into a Maybach just as the other Eldest Young Master Chen was emerging from the arrival gate.

”Senior Brother, you said your family would come pick you up. Why don’t I see anyone?” a beautifully dressed young woman asked from beside Eldest Young Master Chen.

This man, who bore a striking resemblance to Chen Dong, also looked completely baffled. ”Maybe... maybe she’s not awake yet!” He recalled his mother’s habits; that had to be the only reason.

”So what do we do? Do we wait here, or should we go on our own?” the young woman asked, her delicate brows furrowing.

Eldest Young Master Chen steeled himself. ”We’ll go on our own!” He didn’t dare gamble on how long it would take for his mother to get out of bed.

”Do you even know the way? I heard things have changed a lot,” the young woman said playfully.

Eldest Young Master Chen pulled out his phone. ”Don’t worry, we have GPS!”

Realization dawned on the young woman. ”Oh, right. GPS.” She had grown up in a sect and knew nothing about modern cities. The whole reason she had left the mountains was to follow Eldest Young Master Chen and learn about the modern world.

The two of them had a miserable time hailing a taxi. They drove in circles for ages before realizing the GPS had given them the wrong location, and then it took them forever to show the driver the correct address.

「Meanwhile, Chen Dong had already arrived at the Chen Family Mansion.」

As Chen Dong got out of the car, he looked at the familiar mansion. Although many things had changed, the overall structure was still the same. A wave of deep emotion washed over him.

Seeing Chen Dong’s nostalgic and sorrowful expression, the Chief Steward said respectfully, ”Eldest Young Master has suffered all these years!”

Chen Dong suppressed his emotions, his gaze turning icy. He snorted and said, ”What kind of game are you people playing?”

The Chief Steward was taken aback. He thought Chen Dong was asking about the arrangements and hurriedly explained, ”To celebrate the Eldest Young Master’s return, the household has invited many guests for a banquet. For now, the Eldest Young Master can go rest. Once the Lady of the Chen Family is awake, she will arrange everything.”

Chen Dong’s lips curled into a cold smile. ”Then take me to rest and wait for ’that woman’ to make her arrangements.”

The Chief Steward’s heart skipped a beat. ’How did the Eldest Young Master end up like this after his training? He’s become so arrogant and utterly devoid of manners, calling his own mother ’that woman’.’ Even so, he didn’t dare say a word, much less report this to the Lady of the Chen Family. He quickly led Chen Dong to the prepared room, making a mental note to stay far away from the Eldest Young Master in the future. ’If he angers the Lady of the Chen Family one day, I might get dragged down with him.’

Upon entering the room, Chen Dong gained a clearer sense of the Chen Family’s current wealth. The suite, consisting of an inner and outer chamber, was filled with the antique fragrance of burning Nanhai Sandalwood. Original masterpieces by famous artists hung on the walls. Even the wooden bed was crafted from premium huanghuali rosewood and draped with the finest silk embroidery. In the bitter cold of winter, they didn’t use air conditioning; instead, a priceless Blazing Flame Crystal served as a heater.

’What shameless luxury!’

The Chief Steward had only just left when he returned, leading two exceptionally beautiful young women. He said to Chen Dong, ”These are the servants assigned to the Eldest Young Master. You may command them as you wish!” After speaking, he gave a meaningful look, then bowed and retreated.

The implication was that Chen Dong could have the two women do anything he wanted... such as warming his bed for him right now.

Chen Dong sized up the two women. They didn’t look old, maybe in their early twenties, but they had it all—figures, looks, everything. He sighed inwardly. ’The Chen Family is just like a feudal dynasty’s noble house.’

”You are dismissed for now,” Chen Dong said. He was here for revenge and had no interest in women.

The two women glanced at each other. They said, somewhat fearfully, ”Eldest Young Master, you can command us to do anything. If we are sent out like this, we will be punished.”

Chen Dong waved his hand. ”Enough! Just say that I need to meditate and regulate my breathing, so I require silence. Now go!”

The two women curtsied. ”Yes, Eldest Young Master!” They then backed out of the room.

Chen Dong was surprised. ’That woman really knows how to run a household. She’s managed to run such a large family so meticulously and splendidly!’

About half an hour later, a doting voice called from outside the door, ”Rui’Er, come let Mother have a good look at you! It’s been ten years! Let Mother give you a big hug!”

Chen Dong’s eyebrow twitched. ’What’s going on? Rui’Er... she must be talking about my younger brother! They’ve mistaken me for someone else. Have they mistaken me for Chen Rui?’

In an instant, Chen Dong understood everything.

The owner of the voice pushed the door open and walked in. ”I heard you sent the two servants away. I suppose my Rui’Er is still focused on the Martial Dao and has no interest in women... but you still need to leave an heir for the Chen Family! Let your mother hold a grandchild! Those two girls were carefully selected for you by Mother. They are definitely virgins, and their education and knowledge are top-notch!”

The woman walked into the inner chamber and froze the moment she saw Chen Dong. Her gentle, smiling face instantly turned cold. Killing intent surged in her eyes. She snapped in a cold voice, ”You are not my son. Who are you?”
