Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 4797: Oath

Major General Yang changed Ye Jian’s military rank to lieutenant and replied calmly, “I know that you wouldn’t accept it, so I didn’t tell you before this.

“Now that the matter is settled, it’s better for you not to be angry. Take good care of Little Ye. Don’t think that I don’t know about your relationship.”

“Captain Xia, I think it’s good enough. Don’t be angry.” Ye Jian persuaded Xia Jinyuan softly.

Ye Jian had been given the lieutenant rank. Major General Yang tidied Ye Jian’s epaulet and collar. Then, he took half a step back and saluted.

As Ye Jian was the first fourth-year student to be awarded a military rank, the applause below the stage got louder.

The fourth-year students weren’t surprised that Ye Jian was awarded the lieutenant rank. Many students and Xia Jinyuan even thought that Ye Jian could definitely be a major. She fought with her life for five military merits. She could be awarded the military rank of major!

Ye Jian, who had officially become an active-duty officer, saluted the school leaders, instructors, and students who were clapping for her. She made a solemn vow under the military flag.

All the students stood up and saluted, swearing in front of the military flag.

“…I will wholeheartedly serve the country, obey orders, strictly observe discipline, and fight bravely. I’m not afraid of sacrifices, and I’m loyal to my duties. I’ll work hard and train hard to kill my enemies. I’ll definitely complete my missions. Under no circumstances will I betray my country or the army.”

“Observer: Ye Jian!”

“Swearer: Xia Jinyuan!”

Ye Jian’s moment of glory reached its peak. The students clapped until their palms were red. After a long time, all the students could still remember how excited they were that day. They were as excited as if they had been given military ranks.

Ye Jian’s name would forever be etched in the hearts of all the students.

On the day of graduation, she was awarded the military rank of a lieutenant. No one voiced their doubts or had any objections. Everyone was convinced.

One and a half hours later, the graduation ceremony ended. The fourth-year students left one by one. It was finally time to say goodbye.

Ye Jian, who came out in a wheelchair, was surrounded by the students. Song Zhiqiu, whose eyes were red, walked to Ye Jian’s side and smiled. “Come, let’s take our graduation photo.”

This time, Xia Jinyuan didn’t accompany her. This moment belonged to her classmates. There was no need for him to get close.

Xia Jinyuan stood in front of Major General Yang with a cold expression. He watched as his girlfriend was pushed away by the students in her class. He immediately said coldly, “Major General, why did you hide it from me?”

“I didn’t hide it from you. Ye Jian was awarded the military rank on the day of the graduation ceremony because it was a last-minute decision last night. Don’t worry, with me around, Little Ye will get her major rank.

“You, on the other hand, need to be vigilant. If you want to fall in love, so be it. But the rules and regulations clearly state that male and female soldiers in the same military unit are not allowed to fall in love with each other. As the captain, you know the law and broke it. You don’t know how to restrain yourself. Do you want to be implicated?!”

Xia Jinyuan was unmoved by the major general’s sudden change of topic. His handsome face was still as cold as water. “I will fight for the honor that belongs to her. Going from lieutenant to a major is a hurdle. I hope that it can be solved as soon as possible!

“As for our relationship, I’m the captain in the military unit and she’s a soldier. It won’t change because of our relationship. Major General, don’t worry about that.

“I will definitely do what I promised, and I hope that you can fight for her too. Don’t disappoint my soldier.”
