Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 4404: Time

The third-year students entered the university entrance examination while the fourth-year students entered the graduation season. This was the third class of graduates that Ye Jian had seen off after three years in school.

The third and fourth-year seniors who trained her batch in their first year had already spread to every corner of the country. Now, they had to send off their first-year seniors.

“Others will look at their salary after graduation. We’ll look at our motherland’s map after graduation.”

As the graduation season approached, the seniors spent the most time looking at the map of their country. This was because there would be places they were going to. They carried their luggage and went their separate ways before they could even say goodbye.

From now on, the National Science University would become a memory of their military career. The sweat and tears that flowed on the training ground would also become memories. They didn’t know when they would be able to reunite. Some people might never meet again.

At this moment, the seniors in their fourth year wanted to relive the four years of their schooling life before they left the campus. They wanted to expel all the remaining strength in them.

The most typical thing was that during training, they would be ten times louder than the first-year and second-year students who were training next door. This stimulated the first-year and second-year instructors. They were just short of holding small leather whips to encourage the first-year and second-year students to move forward and work harder.

The third-year students were far away from this stimulation. There were only three days left until the joint exam. Five kilometers of running, 400-meter obstacle course, rifle precision shooting, formation, and other subjects were all completed in one go. If they wanted to achieve good results, they had to do their best and devote all their time and energy to practicing.

The seniors in their fourth year wanted to relive their four years in the military school while they were still in school. In that case, the third-year students would train harder. They would withstand the heat and tempering and finally take the joint exam.

Three days before the joint exam, Xiang City turned into a furnace. The temperature outside was already 37 degrees Celsius. Every time they finished training, the sweat on their bodies would wet their training clothes. They would take off their jackets and wring them again and again. It was as if they had been fished out of water.

There was no need to mention their military boots. They were soaked in sweat, and their toes were festering. Their heels and insteps were rubbed until they were badly mutilated. Once the socks were taken off, their faces turned pale as if they would stop breathing in the next second.

On the last day before the joint exam, the school showed a rare gesture of ‘kindness’. That night, all the departments actually organized an outdoor movie. Moreover, it was a romance movie. The main story was that the emperor and his sister felt bored living in the palace. They sneaked to Jiangnan to relax. In the end, they both found love.

It was time for the afternoon training at 5:00 pm when they announced that they would be watching a movie outdoors. The whistle blew, and everyone gathered. The students stood at ease and looked at the side in a straight line. They endured the scorching heat under the hot sun. The sweat under their training caps gathered and turned into a stream that flowed past their cheeks and chins into their training clothes…

Sweat dripped down from their fingers like rain. Their sweat pooled in their military boots again. Their eyes were like steel as they stood up straight. No matter how tough or tired they were, they gritted their teeth and persevered. They never retreated.

Ye Jian, who had finished assembling the team, clasped her arms tightly and jogged to the front of the team in a rhythmic manner. She said in a clear and cold voice, “Report, there should be 45 people in the third row. There are 45 people. Arrangements are complete. Please give your instructions!”

It was sonorous and powerful. There was no fatigue.

The instructor returned the salute and asked Ye Jian to return to the team. When Ye Jian returned, the instructor standing at the front of the students took a few steps forward easily.

The eyes of the students below lit up.
