Chapter 4114: Courage Training

Although the weather forecast had said it would be a light rain, the current rain was not a light rain.

Ye Jian wiped the rainwater off her face and turned to the students behind her. “It’s raining, and the mountain is slippery. Hurry up. Let’s speed up now. Watch your feet.”

“Okay!”

The students who were on the same escape rope as her nodded. Ye Jian led the neighboring team down the mountain.

The two groups of students at the back also started to speed up. They followed the five-person team led by Ye Jian at the front. The group of 15 people braved the rain and went down the mountain.

It was said that it was easy to go up the mountain but difficult to go down. However, this time, there was no mountain path to go up and down the mountain. It was a path that they had to find themselves. It was especially difficult to go down the mountain.

They walked for an hour from the mountainside to the foot of the mountain. At this moment, the sky was completely dark. The rain didn’t decrease. It hit their faces until they felt a faint pain.

“Gather, gather!”

The three groups of five went down the mountain safely. They stood in the heavy rain and untied their escape ropes. Then, they took the time to put them away. When the command was given, the 14 of them formed two rows of seven people. Under Ye Jian’s command, they counted from one to 14.

There were 14 students and Captain Ye Jian. There were 15 of them. They gathered.

Now, they needed to enter the village and sleep.

Xu Wen leaned close to Ye Jian. Swallowing the rainwater, she asked in a low voice, “It’s raining so heavily. Will we have to train our courage tonight?”

Courage training was also a form of outdoor survival training. It mainly tested the courage of the students.

Ye Jian glanced at Xu Wen, who was holding her arm tightly. She said with a faint smile, “Why? Are you so afraid that I’ll have you guys do courage training? Don’t you know that the more afraid you are, the more I’ll test you?”

“No way, Captain Ye. It’s raining so heavily. Did you really arrange for us to do courage training?” Xu Wen’s lips twitched. Damn, if she had known, she wouldn’t have come over to ask!

What a loose mouth!

It was indeed impossible to train their courage in such heavy rain. According to the mission given to her by the school, after entering the village, they would rest in the primary school in the village for the first half of the night. At 11:00 pm, three students would walk around the hill where the cemetery was. It would take about an hour to walk around and back, and it would take exactly five hours for all 15 people to complete the courage training.

This was the field training of the third-year students last year.

It was said that a few male students were so frightened that their knees turned weak and they almost fainted.

Ye Jian had discussed it with the vice-captain, Song Zhiqiu. They had been planning to carry out the same courage training as the third-year students last year. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t favor them. It was hard to make such arrangements in such a heavy rain.

“What will come will come. No matter how afraid you are, you can’t avoid it. Do you understand?” Ye Jian patted Xu Wen’s tightly clenched hands and said calmly, “If you can’t avoid it, why bother worrying?”

Xu Wen’s lips moved. Then, she laid on Ye Jian’s body and started acting coquettishly.

Unfortunately, she was doing this to the wrong person.

Who was Ye Jian?

She was Lieutenant Colonel Xia’s soldier. He was a man who would even deal with his girlfriend when she made mistakes during training. No matter how coquettish Xu Wen was, it was useless in front of Ye Jian.

She was unmoved.

It was raining heavily now. The outcome of the situation would depend on the rain in the second half of the night.

If the rain stopped, the courage training would continue.

Ye Jian didn’t let Xu Wen pester her too much. Now, they needed to solve the problem of their sleeping arrangements. If it wasn’t raining, they could just find a flat plot of land near the mountain and sleep on the ground like last night.

Now that it was raining heavily, they had to consider other things.

“Let’s go to the school and sleep. We’ll go over from here…” Ye Jian held her flashlight and squatted down. She placed the map on her knees. Song Zhiqiu held up a damp cloth above her head. The two of them decided where to sleep.
