Chapter 4097: The Consequence Of Underestimating

He was indeed very anxious to enter the Chinese market. Moreover, he was prepared to incur losses in the early stages. In order to enter the Chinese market, an economist who supported him behind his back had even made a detailed loss report to him.

However, the Chinese market was huge. He was not worried even if he lost money in the early stages.

First of all, the money that he would be losing wasn’t his personal money.

Secondly, as long as the company took root in China, the huge market in China would not make him lose money for long.

With support, there was no need to worry about the cut-off of the capital chain. As long as they could stabilize their position in China, they would be able to bear the losses.

Hence, after researching the Chinese market, he added his own opinion to the declaration that the economist prepared for him.

This was because they could tell from their research that China needed a large amount of foreign investment to drive their economy.

In the declaration, he mentioned the ‘acquisition’ that could best represent a company’s financial resources. The economist who prepared the declaration for him also thought that after the Chinese side saw his declaration, they would definitely welcome Cobra into the Chinese market.

He was not afraid of losses, could bear losses, and had enough financial resources to ‘acquire’. How could China, which was a backward place, reject such a good foreign company?

There was no way China would reject Cobra.

The economist who drafted the declaration for him even used a very contemptuous tone to judge China. “Don’t worry, sir. When a country like China sees your declaration, the entire country will welcome you warmly. Their workers will even treat you like their parents. They won’t complain even if you ask them to do anything.

“China is just an underdeveloped country. Compared to our country, they’re too far behind. However, they want to become a big country with economic power. Hence, after this declaration is submitted, I can tell you with certainty that the Chinese diplomatic ambassador of Molaban will definitely come to see you personally.

“At that time, you’ll know how urgently China needs you to save their poor and create wealth for them. They’ll even go to the point of treating you like God.”

Yes, when this internationally renowned economist told Cobra that, he really thought so too.

As a matter of fact, he did get a personal meeting with the Chinese ambassador of Molaban. When he received the call two days ago, he specially contacted the economist and told him that the Chinese ambassador had really contacted him personally.

On the phone, the famous economist smiled at him and said, “Everything is under our control, sir. Now, it’s time for you to make your request to the Chinese ambassador.

“If they know that we’re bringing wealth to China, they’ll have to cooperate with us. We’re giving alms, and they can only cooperate obediently. You know, you can solve the food and clothing problems of many poor people.”

Cobra had thought so too. No country would reject such a good foreign investment. It was the same for a poor developing country like China.

But now, Cobra knew that he was wrong. The economist who had given him countless suggestions and helped him was wrong too.

The young Chinese diplomat in front of him looked like an elegant gentleman. When he opened his mouth, he realized that his gentlemanly facade was just meant to confuse others. The words he said were so domineering that Cobra had no way out. Cobra didn’t even have a chance to explain.
