Death… And Me

Chapter 3466: You Have One Hour

Roan rented a training field where no one could see the insides. There, he made a full evaluation of the robot’s combat capabilities, and he had to admit he was quite satisfied. ”Was that your full power?”

Qwerty nodded. ”By the parameters requested, that is indeed this unit’s full power, master.”

Roan remembered that he asked the robot to fight to the limit of what could damage its body. ”So you can get even stronger if you ignore the damage to your body.”

”Exactly, master,” Qwerty answered again. ”This unit should be able to display 10% to 120% more combat prowess depending on how much master is willing to damage it. Naturally, this unit’s operating time is reduced depending on that as well. Should this unit go beyond safety levels now?”

Roan shook his head. ”There is no need. Your strength is equivalent to a Space Bending Realm Late Stage as it is, which isn’t bad. Your body is especially resistant, which is good. I have a good idea of how much stronger you would get if you fought beyond your safety levels.”

Roan then turned to Rean. ”I’ll keep this robot with me.”

”You?” Rean didn’t expect that. ”I thought you wouldn’t want to waste your time with anything.”

”This won’t be a waste of time,” Roan looked back at the robot. ”Its combat capability is very good. It will be better displayed if I am the one to command it if necessary.”

”Well, that’s true...” Rean didn’t doubt Roan was the best there are when it comes to commanding.

Following that, they returned to Rean’s residence, and Roan only entered the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm if necessary. Most of the time, he stayed out.

Rean and Zangeshu were also there, taking their chance to learn more about Qwerty.

”Is it really being operated through Circuitry Runes?” Rean tried to check it, but as always, Divine Sense simply couldn’t penetrate it.

Zangeshu also analyzed it up close, even using some scanning equipment he got in the sect. Too bad that nothing seemed to work. ”Magnetic scan, sound scan, x-ray scan, etc... I tried all of them. Yet, all I get is a black image. It is as if all his internal parts don’t exist.”

Rean knew that wasn’t the case. That’s because he got the videos regarding the robots that had been opened in the past. Even though they could be put back together anymore, he could still use the videos as a base.

”It’s the material,” Rean then took out a small piece of one of such robots he got from Lotan. ”I just can’t figure out how this material is made. However, as you can see, it is anything but empty. There are many parts working together, and a lot of it is microscopic. Nanotechnology, perhaps...”

”We also use Micro Circuitry Runes, so it shouldn’t be that hard to find out...” Zangeshu said that, but he knew the problem.

”I shouldn’t... if we at least could analyze and scan the parts. But all kinds of scanners give out no results whatsoever,” Rean added.

”Master...” Qwerty, who had been silent during the last few days as Rean and Zangeshu worked on it, finally spoke. ”Can we stop here?”

”Hum?” Rean and Zangeshu looked at it, puzzled. ”Is anything wrong with your body? Could it be the scanners we used are damaging you? If so, say it. We definitely have no intention of breaking you.”

”Th...that’s not it...” Qwerty shook his spherical head. ”It’s just... annoying...”

”This...” Rean and Zangeshu didn’t know how to respond to that.

Roan glanced over. If there was someone who understood that robot, that was definitely him. ”Leave Qwerty alone. Even if it said you aren’t damaging it, we better not risk it.”

Moving away, Rean approached Roan, a weird expression on his face. ”You aren’t the type to care about such things. What gives?”

”Hmph!” Roan snorted. ”And I still don’t. Nevertheless, that robot might be our only way out of the Evernight World, so I obviously don’t want it to become a piece of junk because of some mistake of yours.”

Rean shrugged. ”Logical as always, so boring. Well, there wasn’t much Zangeshu and I could do anyway. Without any of the scans and other analyzing methods working, and especially without being able to open Qwerty, we can only leave the investigation aside for the moment.”

Zangeshu couldn’t help but ask as he pulled one of Qwerty’s hands closer. ”Can’t we at least get a finger...? Since Qwerty is actually working, we might be able to see something.”

Qwerty immediately pulled his hand back, freeing himself from Zangeshu and taking some distance. ”This unit does not think it is a good idea.”

”Hahaha!” Rean laughed out loud. ”I didn’t know you liked to make jokes, Zangeshu.”

Yet, Zangeshu didn’t seem to be very happy. ”Who said I was joking?”

*Beep.*

The conversation stopped there. They all received a message in their CDs, and so did all the disciples and elders of the sect. They were all to gather in the main field, just like it happened back during the sect entrance exam.

-The Sect Master will make an announcement in the Main Field. All sect members must attend. The announcement starts in one hour.-

Rean and Roan looked at each other. ”Do we bring Qwerty with us?”

”Better not,” Roan shook his head. ”Unless Lotan gives the order, we should not reveal it.”

Having agreed to the following actions, Roan talked to Qwerty. ”Stay here in the residence. We will be back once the Sect Master-”

Yet, they also got another message right at that moment. This time, only Rean and Roan did.

-Bring Qwerty to the Main Field as well.-

Roan’s mouth twitched. Couldn’t he have said that first? ”Forget it... come with us to the Main Field.”

As one could expect, even though the Main Field was enormous, it was still crowded. Fortunately, the members could stay in the air and not only on the ground, so it wasn’t a big issue.

Rean, Roan, Zangeshu, Celis, Kentucky, and Rifindio... followed by Qwerty. They all waited at the back for the speech to start.

Finally, an hour later, the Sect Master, Abi Duttia, made her appearance with a bang!

”I’ll make it short. Our Sect is leaving the Divine Snow World. If you want to stay, leave the sect now. Otherwise, follow us. That’s it. You have an hour to decide.”
