The Villain's Story

Chapter 868: Valus and Aranus.

Valus stepped back, and a set of hooked katana appeared in his hands. Beneath him, Alan started to change.

The rock trapping his body underneath began to crack, the storm disappeared, and even the waves retreated as far as they could. The Black Sea was running away, as Alan’s hair started to darken.

[Possession has been activated: Aranus.]

The rock turned to dust, and Aranus climbed out of it, floating in the air. With an exhausted expression, he looked at Valus. They both stared at one another; neither of them wanted to be the first one to talk.

Valus was wary, and Aranus was exhausted. In the end, Aranus stretched his limbs and stretched out his hand, attempting to call something. But nothing happened.

”Haaa...”

He let out a sigh.

”Of course it wouldn’t come, stubborn piece of metal.”

He lamented, cursing his damn spear that refused to answer to his call. Valus didn’t miss the chance and dashed forward.

Aranus raised his hands, coating them in dragon scales to catch Valus’s blade. He succeeded. Valus abandoned his blades for a moment, twisted his body to deliver a kick, but Aranus raised his knee to block.

Regardless, his form was a bit off, and he was sent flying backwards, losing the hooked katanas. He crashed into the Lighthouse, and Valus pursued, grabbing his weapons and aiming them at Aranus’s neck.

The sound of metal clashing against one another resounded as the dust cleared to show a set of dark scales around Aranus’s neck, the greatest defense to ever exist. Valus smirked, seeing Aranus still extending his hand.

”Do you really think Vorpheous will come if you keep asking for it? That spear doesn’t like you anymore.”

Aranus chuckled in response.

”Eh, give it time. He’s always been like that.”

”...!”

Aranus kicked Valus’s stomach, sending the Supreme flying away. He stood up from the wreckage of the Lighthouse and exclaimed.

”Give me a break, I haven’t done this in a while, okay?”

Valus was thrown into the black sea, but did not sink. He was simply sliding on the surface; the darkness assisted him in doing so. He raised his blades into a cross to block Aranus’s punch.

Appearing from the island in a flash, the strongest punch was blocked by Valus’s weapons, but it cried under the pressure. Aranus pushed Valus back. Valus slid on the Black Sea, whilst the Black Sea avoided coming into contact with Aranus at all. He was pushing off the air with pure strength.

The Hooked Katana’s would break soon, under the flurry of Aranus’s punches. It was a shame, as they were Valus’s favorite choice of weapon. He clicked his tongue, throwing the set into the Black Sea and blocking Aranus’s punch with his own hands.

He had barely managed to catch it, and his body groaned. The power from that punch was enough to shake him to the core. Valus, although the greatest warrior of the house Shivalkulan, was still a dragon.

A Darkness Dragon wasn’t the best among the dragons in physical endurance; what was worse, his opponent was Aranus.

Aranus raised his other hand and punched again. Valus grabbed it by the wrist this time, inches away from his face. Aranus did not attempt to free his hands as he asked.

”Why are we doing this? Fighting like the epics? I thought you’d have transported me into some random corner of space to cause some real havoc.”

Valus smiled in response.

”Can’t a man have a good brawl? A fist fight to the death?”

Aranus shrugged.

”Sure, but aren’t we dragons? The meta for us is to spam world-ending spells, isn’t it?”

”...”

For a moment, the Supreme being contemplated it.

”Anyways, I’m kind of glad I don’t have to convince you, I’m not really good with words, you know? I can see that you’re just doing this for... ughhh, stress relief? Anyways, it’s good to know you’ll tell the kid what he wants to know after all this is done.”

Valus didn’t answer, simply kicking Aranus in the stomach. Aranus did not attempt to block and tanked the hit instead. He wasn’t pushed back in the slightest.

Grunting, Valus asked.

”Can the kid’s soul take it?”

Aranus smiled in response, which told Valus all he needed to know. Unlike before, Alan’s soul and body had grown tremendously, allowing him to sustain Aranus for longer and make him unleash more of his full power.

The color of Aranus’s eyes changed, from black to purple, and countless scales began to grow around his body, smooth, perfect scales that aligned over another a thousand times. His height increased, and a sharp, long tail appeared behind him.

In response, Valus also began to transform into a draconian. Liquid darkness rushed from the Black Sea and consumed his body, transforming it into a cocoon. A second later, Valus emerged from the cocoon as a draconian.

A head with two mouths, four sets of eyes, and a body with two sets of arms, each one with bladed fingers. He had no legs, however. The lower section of his body had transformed into a tail with three split ends.

Aranus went on the offensive, whilst Valus defended most of the time. His draconian form was more special than most, making him somewhat able to keep up with Aranus in terms of physical combat. Although he had finally been forced to use spells.

Valus struggled to block the consistent flurry of blows and dissolved into darkness. Aranus was left alone in the middle of the black sea, and kicked beneath him.

The water disappeared, revealing Valus, right underneath Aranus.

”At least give me a damn second!”

”Nope.”

Aranus dropped down, joined his hands together, and raised them up, intending to slam them down towards Valus. The Supreme being dodged the slam, turning his body into darkness and appearing behind Aranus, putting him in a chokehold with one set of arms. The other let out a relentless flurry of blows to Aranus’s abdomen.

Aranus threw him off, slammed him into the ground, and asked.

”When are we going to use Magic?”

”When I FUCKING FEEL LIKE IT!”
