The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2449: Chapter 2449: Pleading (Part 1)

Guan Tongshi’s legs went weak, and she collapsed to the ground along with her daughter.

”My elder sister never uses her status to oppress others. Do you think we’re still the pitiful ones who can be bullied at will?” Erni looked disdainfully at the Guan Family people, ”Even the Magistrate has to salute my elder sister; who do you think you are?”

The village head Yang Mancang and Lizheng Li Xin also looked pale. They were ordinary people; how could they have experienced this? Xinxin was usually amiable, helping everyone to prosper, and everyone had overlooked her status, allowing some envious people to lose their sense of proportion.

But it’s better this way, lest so many people seek trouble without knowing their limits.

”Madam, spare us.” Although Guan Danian was trembling, he couldn’t stay silent at this moment and directly knelt down.

Yang Ruxin’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Gu Yao raised his hand, and immediately a great force lifted Guan Danian up, preventing him from kneeling.

”In the village, you’re considered an elder. Kneeling to a junior like me, wouldn’t it invite resentment if word got out?” Yang Ruxin sneered, ”I can’t bear it.”

For a moment, Guan Danian didn’t know what to do.

”Xinxin.” The village head finally snapped back to reality and stepped forward, ”Such a venomous act as poisoning is too malicious; it’s not excessive for you to deal with it however you see fit.”

Li Xin also nodded, ”Indeed, usually if there’s some noisy commotion, it’s nothing, but harming lives like this cannot be tolerated.”

”I was wrong...” Guan Qingyue had no strength to cry anymore, and didn’t know what to do, so she could only keep apologizing.

”Madam, I beg you, she’s still young, please give her a chance to change. We promise such things will never happen again.” Guan Tongshi instead calmed down and hugged her daughter tightly, ”Truly, please consider Qingshu’s sake, would you?”

”Fine.” Yang Ruxin pondered for a while and then nodded.

Ah? Everyone was stunned.

”For the sake of us being from the same village, and considering that Guan Qingyue has shown remorse afterward, I won’t pursue it.” Yang Ruxin agreed, ”However, Guan Qingshu, the Jieyuan, must be present. If Guan Qingyue commits such malicious acts again in the future, she will be punished according to Daxuan’s law.”

”This...” Guan Tongshi hesitated, knowing that their son was already displeased with the family and this sister. After learning of this, wouldn’t he be more dissatisfied?

”Alright!” Guan Danian agreed, ”I’ll go to the Prefectural City tomorrow to bring my son back.”

Guan Qingyue was taken away by her family. As to how the Guan couple would reprimand their daughter, that was their own business.

After a long night of commotion, Yang Ruxin slept until noon and only got up because she was hungry; otherwise, she would have slept until evening.

Shadow Twelve, who had been watching the two who acted like rogues before, returned to Gu Cheng. Those two weren’t relatives of the Ma Family at all; they were from the neighboring town and were simply two idle dandies with some family assets, who spent their days indulging in vices like eating, drinking, and gambling. They came to the village this time to indulge in solicitation.

As for whom they were soliciting, it’s self-evident.

But in this era, solicitation is not a crime; even Brothels and Chu Pavilions pay taxes. However, the Ma Family blatantly soliciting at home corrupts the village atmosphere and adversely influences the children; therefore, it cannot be tolerated.

Thus, Gu Cheng was tasked with keeping an eye on the Ma Family; if anyone shows up again, notify the village head and Lizheng immediately. Such matters should be decided upon by the whole village.
