The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2335: Chapter 2335: Admitting Their Mistake (7)

Li Xiang looked at Yang Ruxin.

”Why are you looking at me? I’m not a gossiper.” Yang Ruxin laughed and gave Li Xiang a playful tap on the head. ”Also, let me remind you once more, it doesn’t matter if others think it, but you two shouldn’t. It’s all in the past between me and him. When we meet again, we’re just acquaintances. Don’t always bring me up whenever you mention him.”

”I know, it’s just subconscious, isn’t it?” Li Xiang smiled awkwardly. ”The key point is that it’s related to you.”

”Me?” Yang Ruxin frowned. ”Then you’d better tell me quickly.”

”The Guan Family and the Tong Family have turned against each other, you know that, right?” Li Xiang lowered her voice. ”Do you know why?” She swallowed the candy in her mouth. ”It’s because the Tong Family wanted to betroth Tong Lingling to Guan Qingshu, but Guan Qingshu disagreed. In the end, I heard Guan Danian made the decision that Tong Lingling could marry Guan Qingshu, but only as a concubine.”

”What’s that got to do with me?”

”I happened to be behind their house that day and overheard Guan Danian telling his wife that Guan Qingshu might still have feelings for you. Isn’t that nonsense?”

”This Guan Family is really cheeky...” Liang Xiaoyu snorted coldly.

”Alright, they said it at home, not in front of me, so don’t get worked up.” Yang Ruxin quickly waved her hand. ”Let’s continue with their gossip. Did the Tong Family agree?”

Li Xiang shook her head: ”I don’t know.”

”He’s not even a big official yet, and he’s already picking concubines?” Liang Xiaoyu curled her lip. ”What kind of person is he?”

”I heard Guan Qingshu himself didn’t even agree.” Li Xiang cracked a melon seed. ”That’s why he went to the Prefectural City.”

”Maybe there’s a girl from a powerful, Confucian Family who fancies him.” Liang Xiaoyu also cracked some melon seeds. ”Rather than marrying Tong Lingling, he might as well find someone with influence.”

”Could be, yeah.”

”Haha, you guys really love gossip, but let’s eat first, we’ll need the energy to continue gossiping.” Yang Ruxin suddenly burst into laughter.

Liang Xiaoyu and Li Xiang were stunned for a moment, then they laughed too, as if realizing it’s true.

Meanwhile, the parade had already gone around the village once and was starting to head back. The celebration feast at home was also prepared. Once they returned, two pairs of newlyweds would kowtow to heaven and earth, and it would be time to eat.

Everyone was lively and cheerful, when suddenly someone stumbled over, kneeling from a distance: ”Yang Ruxin, please help, let my husband go.”

Everyone was taken aback. Who comes to mourn in the middle of a wedding celebration? Isn’t that bad luck?

”Daju sister, what are you doing?” Dong Wenxiu happened to be outside and couldn’t help but frown at Yang Daju. ”We’re having a wedding here today, if there’s something...”

”Sister-in-law, I beg you, let my husband go, he must have realized his mistake...” Yang Daju, however, remained on the ground.

”Get up.” Yang Ruxin stepped out, looking somewhat displeased.

Yang Daju was startled and tried to get up but thought of her husband and stayed: ”Xinxin, I know my husband’s at fault, he was momentarily confused, lured in by Wang Baozhu’s family. He surely knows he’s wrong now, please, let him go.”

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but let out a snort.

”You’re really odd, aren’t you?” Chai Qin stepped forward before Yang Ruxin could speak. ”A few days ago, your husband got his head cracked open, my madam treated him and even fed him for a night. You didn’t come to thank, yet here you are kneeling and wailing. Who are you trying to displease?”
