The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2311: Chapter 2311: Farewell to the Modern World (18)

Yang Ruxin was trapped in the mist at that moment. She didn’t know how she ended up in this place, nor did she know where it was. It just felt like she suddenly arrived here, and all around was a gray, hazy mist. She called out, but no one answered; she could only keep walking forward. However, she was exhausted and still found no exit.

What should she do?

She couldn’t be trapped here, so she had to find a way out.

She didn’t know how long she had been walking when suddenly there was a sound by her ears, a familiar sound of children playing.

Yang Ruxin smiled. Was she about to see those three little ones again? She hurriedly quickened her pace, eventually running. Finally, just as she felt she couldn’t catch her breath, it suddenly opened up in front of her. It was still a world of white snow, where three small children with red bellybands were rolling and playing in the snow.

”Hello, do you remember me?” Yang Ruxin ran over, but for some reason, this time the three children seemed unable to see her or hear her, continuing to play by themselves.

”Babies...” Yang Ruxin wanted to reach out to them, but discovered her hand went right through, unable to touch the children’s bodies at all. ”What’s going on?”

But no one gave her an answer, so she sat on one side, watching them play.

She didn’t know how long she watched when the child with the twin-lotus bellyband called out to the other two: ”Stop playing, we have to go find mother.”

So, the other two ran over, joined hands with that child, and ran far away.

”Hey, wait for me.” Yang Ruxin got up to chase them.

But the children ran very fast, and there seemed to be a doorway ahead. The child with the twin-lotus bellyband stood at the doorway, suddenly turned back, and waved at Yang Ruxin before running inside. Next was the child with a green birthmark on the buttocks; before entering the door, he also waved back at her. Finally, the child with the red birthmark on the lower back made a funny face at her before running through the door.

”You guys...” Yang Ruxin chased over but found nothing. Just as she was wondering, another door appeared behind her, from which came the urgent calls of someone.

”Sister Xin...”

Curious, Yang Ruxin walked closer, and inside the door, a modern scene appeared. In the hospital, her group of younger brothers surrounded her, calling her name, and a voice seemed to whisper in her ear, urging her to return.

As she was about to step inside, a voice suddenly came from the door behind her. It alternated between Gu Qingheng’s, Dong Wenxiu’s, and her siblings’ voices.

Yang Ruxin was torn. Which side was truly her? Which side was where she belonged?

”Mother.” Just then, the voice of the child came from that door, ”Mother, are you abandoning us?”

”Xinxin, are you going to leave us and the children?”

”Yang Ruxin, I don’t care if you’ve returned or whatever, you have to come back to us. This is your home; the ones you love are here...”

Yang Ruxin glanced back at the modern scene, seeing herself transformed into a photo on a tombstone, while her younger brothers soon returned to their lives, visiting with a white chrysanthemum only during festivals. She sighed and admitted that indeed, the other side was her true home. So, to modern times, farewell!
