The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2124: Chapter 2124: Using the Restroom (Part 4)

”I didn’t know what everyone’s taste preferences were, so I ordered all the house specials from the menu,” Song San warmly invited everyone, ”Feel free to add more later if you’d like, the wild game here is quite famous.”

”I didn’t expect Song San to be so familiar with this place,” Gu Qingheng laughed, ”You’ve gone to great expense.”

”What are you talking about?” Song San shook his head, ”Without you all, I’d have long been a meal for the wild dogs, or even turned into jerky by that Sun Saintess. I’ve always wanted to find an opportunity to repay you, and it’s just a meal after all.”

Gu Qingheng smiled without saying anything more.

”Don’t worry, since Song San is treating us, we won’t stand on ceremony,” Fa Qingyang chimed in, ”Let’s hurry with the dishes, we’re all hungry.”

Xiao’er hurriedly first served the tea and then went down to pass on the order for the dishes.

The few elderly folks in the room, although sitting at the dining table, didn’t seem to pull their attention away from the cards they were intensely discussing. At times, Dao Xuzi criticized Tang Wanqian for a mistake, then Nian Qianqian accused Dao Xuzi of grabbing inappropriately, and Ming Guang rarely spoke, but when he did, he would call the three of them fools... As a result, the three of them wanted to beat him, but considering his abnormal skills, they ultimately let it go, resulting instead in verbal attacks on Ming Guang from the three of them.

However, Ming Guang remained calm, disregarding whatever was said, leaving the three of them fuming but helpless.

Everyone listened with great interest.

Yang Ruxin felt very gratified, because she noticed that Nian Qianqian had unconsciously changed as well, her temper wasn’t as cold as before, and she started to have some human warmth.

Soon, the dishes were served, and everyone started to eat, while the older folks began to grab dishes again, as if it was impossible for them to coexist without quarreling or snatching.

Everyone was used to their dynamic, so no one was surprised anymore.

”Sis, I’m going to the lavatory, are you coming?” Yu Qingge tugged on Yang Ruxin’s sleeve and lowered her voice.

”Let’s go, I’ll go with you,” Yang Ruxin stood up, just as she also felt the need to go.

Longmen House’s lavatory was in the backyard, one had to go down the stairs to get there.

The downside of ancient lavatories is that they generally weren’t divided by gender, just a big lavatory; more sophisticated establishments might partition the space, while less particular ones just had a big pit.

Since it wasn’t common for ancient women to be out and about, even in more liberal dynasties, there weren’t many women who could dine out regularly, let alone use public restrooms.

Of course, few doesn’t mean none, those women who could dine in such establishments usually came from well-off families, so there would be servants, and if the masters needed to use the toilet, there would be maids or old women to stand guard outside.

Now, Yang Ruxin and Yu Qingge didn’t go next door to call Xuxu and Chai Qin, so the two of them took turns standing watch for each other.

Yu Qingge went first, and only when she came out did Yang Ruxin go in.

The location of the restroom was relatively secluded, generally people wouldn’t head in that direction unless they had to use it.

However, there are always exceptions.

”Where did this pretty girl come from?” a few men holding treasure swords saw Yu Qingge standing alone there and approached, the leader among them, a burly man, looked at Yu Qingge as if he wanted to devour her, ”Are you waiting here for your big brother?”

The rest of the men burst into laughter.

Yu Qingge didn’t even lift her eyelids, completely ignoring them. These people were evidently the dregs of the martial world. Even though her skills weren’t great, she had reliable support, so she wasn’t afraid at all.
