The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1815: Chapter 1815: What’s Going On (4)

Before Yang Ruxin could step out, Gu Qiao, who was with Gu Qingheng, came back.

It really was a scandal, and a romantic one at that.

”How could the General possibly be involved with that Luo Yujiao?” Mark was agitated upon hearing Gu Qiao’s words, ”Clearly, it was Luo Yusheng and his sister’s scheme to entrap our General.”

”Siblings?” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly, ”Come, tell me, what’s going on?”

Mark touched his nose, exchanged glances with Gu Qiao and Gu Di, knew that nothing could be hidden now, and explained the whole story from start to finish.

Gu Qingheng was in charge of the Embroidered Blade Guards, responsible for Beijing’s security alongside the Central Army Camp and the military office; however, previously, the Embroidered Blade Guards’ office was inside the palace, but for now, it had been temporarily relocated to a courtyard within the military office in Beijing.

As long as Gu Qingheng wasn’t out patrolling personally, he would be in the office every day.

The Four Guards, as the Emperor’s aces, were led by reliable commanders, the key feature of whom was that they were all orphans without family, loyal only to the Emperor, and immune to external threats.

However, the previous commander of the Embroidered Blade Guards had been injured in an accident, thus unable to continue as a commander, so before Gu Qingheng took over, there was only a Deputy Commander, named Luo Yusheng.

Although Luo Yusheng was merely a Deputy Commander for the Embroidered Blade Guards, a seventh-rank position, the Embroidered Blade Guards were the Emperor’s close allies with real power, thus naturally courted by various factions.

Luo Yusheng was also an orphan, but he had a sister named Luo Yujiao, though not a biological sister, but a cousin. Her parents also died in the same accident as Luo Yusheng’s parents, so the siblings relied on each other, having a close bond.

Luo Yujiao was quite pretty, but at eighteen, she remained unmarried not due to a lack of suitors but because ordinary suitors weren’t up to her standards, and noble families didn’t approve of her background, and she was unwilling to be a concubine, hence the delay.

But sometimes people have quirky fates, so when Miss Luo once went to the office to visit her brother, she met Gu Qingheng, and her heart was inevitably captured by Gu Qingheng’s addictive looks and his Banished Immortal Style, unable to forget him, not even minding knowing he was married, as long as she could be accepted, being a concubine was no concern.

Thus, she would frequently visit the office, sometimes bringing soup, other times meals, even once delivering shoes and socks.

”Madam, you can’t misunderstand the General.” Mark observed Luo Yujiao’s most frequent actions, and every time the woman coincidentally met the General at the office, it was always when he was around, ”The General didn’t even acknowledge the woman, but her persistence was such that he had to frequently leave for patrols...”

Yang Ruxin nodded: ”Do you think Luo Yujiao is pretty?”

Mark pursed his lips: ”I don’t find her pretty, just uncomfortable.”

”What’s uncomfortable?”

”Every time she sees the General, she speaks in a pinched voice, and when she walks, she deliberately sways.” Mark said, rubbing his arm, ”Moreover, she always wears strong perfume, which makes me sneeze... Honestly, seeing her like that makes me feel itchy all over, just wanting to...”

”Want to what?”

”Just want to kick her twice...”
