The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1295: Chapter 1295: Protecting the Elder and the Younger (1)

Since Wang Hehua had been pregnant, it was Yang Ruxin who had been helping her with her prenatal care, and so her physical condition was quite good. Even though she was giving premature birth now, it wasn’t too difficult, and her cervix dilated quickly.

Yang Ruxin didn’t know how to deliver a baby, so she didn’t step forward but waited at the entrance of the room. The room had a thick curtain drawn across the door, which prevented anyone from seeing inside unless it was opened. However, her mother, Zhao Xinghua, and several members of the Feng Family had all gone into the room to help.

From time to time, blood-stained water was carried out, and then hot water was brought in.

Gu Qingheng and Xie Tai were waiting in the courtyard, coincidentally talking with Li Yi.

Li Zhong had run back home. When Du Juan went to find him, he was so scared he almost fell over. It was only with the help of a young lady who steadied him that he managed to stay on his feet and then stumbled his way back.

”Don’t panic, Uncle Zhong,” Gu Qingheng swiftly grabbed Li Zhong, who was about to rush into the room, ”The midwife is in there. It’ll be fine.”

Li Zhong took a deep breath, ”Okay, the uncle won’t panic.” But the veins on the back of his clasped hands bulged alarmingly.

Soon, however, a cry was heard from inside the room. Perhaps because the baby was born too early, its cries weren’t very loud. In a short while, Liu Cuiyun came out holding a tidied-up baby, ”Brother Li Zhong, congratulations, you have a son...” She said and deliberately brought the wrinkled, monkey-like little thing closer to Li Zhong for a good look, ”This is Dabao. Erbao is still inside...”

”Dad, I have a little brother now!” Li Xiang shouted excitedly, ”Big Brother Gu, I have a little brother now...” Then she turned to Xie Tai, found she didn’t recognize him, but still smiled and nodded, unable to hide her elation.

Xie Tai watched the little girl in front of him with amusement. Her smile was like lighting up the clouds at sunset, and he couldn’t help but curve his lips, ”Congratulations.”

Li Zhong glanced at his son in Liu Cuiyun’s arms, then suddenly squatted down and began to sob.

”Uncle Zhong, you should be happy. Why are you crying?” Yang Ruxin walked out and smiled, ”Aunt Hehua is listening inside. If you keep crying, she’ll think you’re unhappy about having a son.”

”Hehe, I’m laughing,” Li Zhong quickly wiped his face and forced a smile, ”I’ll laugh for her to hear, and you tell my aunt, Li Zhong thanks her...”

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but giggle, ”You should say that yourself when the time comes. I won’t be passing that message.”

Just then, the old midwife ran out with her hands covered in blood, ”The one inside is breech, can’t be born, and if we delay any longer, she’ll hemorrhage. You have to decide whether to save the mother or the child!”

”What kind of talk is that?” Li Xiang’s smile froze instantly upon hearing this, ”My mother...”

”Save the mother,” Li Zhong’s legs gave way for a moment, but he quickly stood firm again, ”I want my wife to be safe...”

The old midwife sighed and went back inside.

Yang Ruxin frowned, aware that such dilemmas often occurred in less advanced times. Although she had never given birth in her two lifetimes, she knew that childbirth was like a second reincarnation for women, and many didn’t survive the ordeal. However, after the twenty-first century, childbirth seemed to have become easier—for most pregnant women, when the time was almost due, they would pick a good day, go to the hospital, have a cesarean section, and that was that, with no need to worry about the position of the fetus.

Indeed, if Wang Hehua’s twins had not been born prematurely and had been delivered smoothly, there would have been no problem. Yang Ruban really hadn’t done any good by doing this—after his bump, one of the babies had not even turned properly, which was certainly dangerous.
