The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 735: Chapter 735: Five Hundred Taels at a Time (2)_1

Yang Ruxin’s lips twitched, as she wanted to tell him there was no need to be so serious, but before she could speak, Dong Hang rushed in. ”Divine Doctor, my son-in-law has woken up...”

Yang Ruxin put down her teacup and stood up. ”Then let’s go take a look.”

Clearly, Yang Baiyue had freshened up. He had changed into a light blue long robe. He was naturally handsome, and even though he had gotten a bit thinner after the recent ordeal, it didn’t affect his dashing looks. Plus, having studied, holding the title of Scholar added a touch of scholarly elegance to him.

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but nod. If she didn’t know him, she would have been fooled by his appearance as well.

”Divine Doctor,” Yang Baiyue said with a cheerful expression, clasping his fists in greeting toward Yang Ruxin. ”You truly live up to your reputation...”

”Don’t be in such a hurry to be pleased, Mr. Mo,” Yang Ruxin raised her hand to interrupt him. ”You’ve been poisoned with the rarest poison in the world. One acupuncture session is simply not enough to eradicate it...”

Xiaolun, perched on Yang Ruxin’s wrist, proudly shook its head. Of course, its poison was the rarest—it was rare itself, after all.

Yang Baiyue’s face stiffened. ”You mean...”

”To completely eliminate such poison would take about ten or eight treatments,” Yang Ruxin said with a smile. ”You’ll need to undergo acupuncture once a month, otherwise, the toxins won’t be fully purged...”

Yang Baiyue frowned.

”I am the apprentice of Dao Xuzi, and I generally don’t provide medical treatment to others, but since I’ve taken your case, I won’t back out. Today’s treatment will be complimentary. From the next session on, the fee will be five hundred silver per consultation...” Yang Ruxin spread her palm and waved it, ”until you’re fully healed. I’ll provide home services...”

Yang Baiyue almost jumped up and cursed. Five hundred silver? That was practically robbery.

But before he could say anything, Yang Ruxin already continued. ”Of course, if you find it expensive you can choose not to receive treatment. But don’t say I didn’t warn you—if you stop the treatment, the symptoms will recur in two months. And by then... you would have to find someone more skilled, as not even fifty thousand silver would bring me back. I wouldn’t want to tarnish my master’s reputation.”

Yang Baiyue felt a tight, painful sensation in his chest.

But Yang Ruxin couldn’t care less about his constipated look of discomfort and simply excused herself and turned to leave.

”Wait.” Yang Baiyue quickly looked up. ”About the five hundred silver...”

”I know five hundred silver isn’t much. If Mr. Mo wants to give me a tip, I’ll accept,” Yang Ruxin didn’t wait for him to speak, stopping to look back at him. ”After all, my master said wherever he went, he was welcomed with open arms, and the gifts he received were always worth more than the treatment cost...”

Yang Baiyue’s lips twitched. ”That... I’ll think about it...”

Yang Ruxin slightly nodded her head and then exited the room.

”Do you think he’ll agree? Isn’t that a bit too high?” Gu Yao actually felt a bit sorry for the son-in-law; five hundred silver a session, that’s fast money. So, he couldn’t help but whisper the question.

”I’ve actually given him a discount considering he’s a fellow townsman,” Yang Ruxin scoffed. ”Otherwise, I would have asked for a thousand silver...”

Gu Yao’s lips twitched.

”He’s afraid of dying, he’ll definitely agree,” Yang Ruxin turned her head to glance at Gu Yao. ”Don’t believe me? Want to bet...”

Before Gu Yao could nod, Yang Baiyue’s voice came from behind. ”Divine Doctor...” But if one listened closely, they would realize that these words were actually clenched between his back teeth.
