The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

364: Chapter 364 What do you take me for?Han Jingyang and his group returned to Jiguang Zhai, then escorted his parents, grandparents, younger sister, and the others home.

Finally, he personally drove Zhu Yuanyuan back to her university.

On the way, Zhu Yuanyuan remained preoccupied. ”Jingyang, what kind of people did you provoke? How could they do something like this?”

Han Jingyang slammed on the brakes, turned to face Zhu Yuanyuan, looked at her gently, and cupped her cheeks with both hands. He said softly, ”Sister Yuanyuan, it was just a misunderstanding. Now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up, this kind of thing will never happen again.”

”Really?”

”Yes, I promise with the happiness of the rest of my life that this kind of thing will never happen again.”

”You, you...”

Zhu Yuanyuan stared blankly at Han Jingyang’s confident and even domineering gaze. A moment later, she realized that the Han Jingyang before her was no longer that sunny, handsome college student, but an urban expert in metaphysics possessing special abilities. While letting out a sigh of relief, she avoided his burning gaze and whispered, ”I know. You... you are no longer an ordinary person. In the future, I... I wish you happiness and peace.”

Han Jingyang raised an eyebrow.

What does this woman mean?

Wanting to let go? To completely cut off any attachment?

Or is she testing me?

Forget it, no more guessing. I’ll just express it with actions.

Mouths can lie, and expressions and demeanor can be faked, but actions cannot.

Thinking this, he slowly leaned over toward Zhu Yuanyuan’s exquisite face, which still had a hint of baby fat, and lightly tapped her forehead.

Her forehead was scorching hot, as if she had a fever.

She struggled slightly, but there was no follow-up.

This reaction...

Han Jingyang received the signal and couldn’t help but kiss her again. Then, he moved down from her forehead, across her eyebrows, eyes, and cheeks, before lightly pecking at the corners of her lips several times.

Then, he saw the woman in his arms close her eyes tight and lift her head slightly toward his mouth, instinctively searching like a baby looking for milk.

This woman who says one thing but means another.

Han Jingyang sighed inwardly and gently captured Zhu Yuanyuan’s full lips.

”Mmm—”

Zhu Yuanyuan struggled slightly, but then completely gave in to it.

After a long while, the car started again.

Han Jingyang drove Zhu Yuanyuan back to her dormitory.

Upon arriving at the dormitory building, he naturally escorted Zhu Yuanyuan upstairs and into her bedroom.

The bedroom was narrow and cramped, a double room with almost no space other than the beds and a small table. It was a bit like a factory worker’s dormitory, where you couldn’t do anything but sleep.

He sat down on Zhu Yuanyuan’s bed without hesitation, grabbed her small hand, and said softly once more, ”Sister Yuanyuan, believe me, today’s incident really won’t happen again. Please, you must not have any unnecessary worries. Live your life and work as normal; who knows, you might even get some extra rewards.”

Zhu Yuanyuan had been a little nervous, not because of other things, but because of Han Jingyang himself. She didn’t know whether she should let Han Jingyang sit for a moment and then leave, or let him stay for a while longer. Especially the aggressiveness Han Jingyang was showing made her feel even more unsettled.

However, upon hearing these words from Han Jingyang, her attention was immediately diverted, and a hint of worry appeared on her face. ”Really?”

”Really,” Han Jingyang said, taking the opportunity to pull Zhu Yuanyuan into his arms. ”If I couldn’t ensure your safety, I would definitely keep my distance from you to avoid you suffering secondary or even multiple injuries.”

”How can anything in this world be certain?”

”I don’t know about other things, but this is certain,” Han Jingyang said confidently. ”I would absolutely never joke about the safety of my loved ones.”

”Then... what about Xinxin’s lessons?”

”Continue them, still at my place.” Thinking of his younger sister, Han Jingyang asked casually, ”Summer vacation is almost over. How do you feel about the results of these two months of tutoring?”

”Very, very good,” Zhu Yuanyuan said, suddenly getting excited. ”Xinxin is the fastest-improving student I’ve ever seen; the tutoring results are astonishing. I had her take a few final exam mock tests, and her scores were quite outstanding. Let’s put it this way: if she were to take the final exam again, she could definitely break into the top five of her grade.”

”That impressive?”

”Yes, I’ve discovered that Xinxin hasn’t just improved her learning ability; she has made significant progress in other areas as well. She is more diligent and more focused. The sudden burst of interest and motivation for learning she has shown even puts me to shame. Many times, she studies until late at night. If I don’t remind her, she could study until dawn, and then still be energetic enough to continue studying during the day.”

”That’s good then.”

”If she maintains this drive for learning, she really has a chance to get into Qingbei. After all, there are still two full years left.”

”You need to take good care of her.”

”Hmph, you only know how to order me around. When you were in school, I had to worry about your affairs; now that you’ve graduated, I still have to worry about your sister’s affairs.”

”What do you mean my sister? That’s our sister.”

”You, you...”

Zhu Yuanyuan was both shy and angry, but Han Jingyang pulled her directly into his arms and covered her mouth.

After a long while, Han Jingyang kicked off his shoes and lounged on the bed. ”I’ll stay with you tonight, don’t be afraid.”

Zhu Yuanyuan said crossly, ”What do I have to be afraid of? If I’m afraid, it’s only of you, you little rascal.”

”Hehe, really not afraid?”

”...”

How could she not be afraid?

Whenever Zhu Yuanyuan thought of the evening’s experience, she couldn’t help but feel a lingering fear. She had been tutoring Han Jingxin when a large group of fierce, villainous men broke in, tied up the whole family, and kidnapped them. If not for Han Jingyang rescuing them so quickly, she really dared not imagine what would have happened later. It would have been one thing for the older ones, but for her and Han Jingxin, who were younger...

Just thinking about it made her shudder.

Even though she was safe now, every time she recalled the scene, she couldn’t help but feel fear.

For an ordinary person, having gone through such an event, it was inevitable that they would be left with some psychological trauma, perhaps even a lifelong shadow.

This was also the main reason Han Jingyang was insisting on staying with Zhu Yuanyuan.

If he didn’t stay with her, who knew what kind of aftereffects this woman might be left with, or if some other man might take advantage of the situation.

He absolutely would not allow such a thing to happen.

Of course, he also had ways to eliminate this psychological trauma, but not right now.

You can’t rush when doing things; you have to use strategy, just like playing chess, you have to move one step at a time.

Look, he had successfully held this woman in bed, whom he once dared not touch. Even if he couldn’t do anything yet, just holding her gently was already a huge step forward.

Besides, this was just the beginning.

The night... was still long.

August in Quancheng was very hot.

Even with the air conditioning on, the two people wrapped in each other’s arms were soon drenched in sweat, and where their skin touched, it was sticky and damp.

Zhu Yuanyuan, with her back to Han Jingyang, twisted slightly and whispered, ”I, I’ll go to that other bed.”

Han Jingyang held Zhu Yuanyuan’s waist and refused to let go. ”This is just fine. I like the feeling of holding you.”

”No...”

”Sister Yuanyuan, turn around. I want to tell you some intimate words.”

”Just say them like this.”

”I want to look into your eyes, that way you can see the sincerity and... love in my eyes.”

Zhu Yuanyuan’s body couldn’t help but tremble, yet she asked a tricky question: ”What do you take me for?”
